To get anything done there you need to work within the system, you become part of the system. The pressure to comply, to fit in must be massive. That’s not to mention the gravy train which is substantial. Perhaps if Trump remained true to his previous positions he would have been assassinated. This is a cynical view but accurate I think.
Ron Paul and maybe a few others are exceptions.
