Loading ...i just went out to pick up some extra preps – probably overdoing it. interstate ten, 150 miles west of jacksonville (northeast corner of florida more or less), westbound lanes crowded, but moving well – maybe 60-65 mph not quite bumper to bumper yet. almost no eastbound traffic. the auto parts shop in monticello is doing a brisk business in 5 gallon gas cans. they thought ahead and ordered a couple dozen extra. they are moving well despite a stiff mark-up.
if the noaa projection:
continues to play out, the storm center will pass 200-250 miles to the east of here. we can look for some wet, blustery weather.
this latest noaa projection puts the storm track a little to the east (further from me) of the former projection. i’m going to hunker down here. if the projection changes, i may re-evaluate. crunchtime is still 2-3 days ahead. a lot can happen in 3 days.
