everyone has heard about catbirds, but we have dogbirds here at treefrog manor.  for at least three years running, we have had cardinals raising babies near the house.  the last two years they nested in an avocado tree in the greenhouse, this year they are in a small oak off the back porch.

they have found the dogfood bowl, and they are exploiting it.  it’s just store brand dry kibble (21% protein).   they seen to like it, and make many trips to the bowl, taking only one morsel at a time.

since the species description for cardinals describes them as seed eaters with no mention of dogfood, this must be a development new to ornithology.  i am naming the new species AVICANIS  KIBBELLIVORUS  for obvious reasons.

dragon, the former sole user of the bowl has been able, so far, to restrain his enthusiasm about this development

Instead of looking for a heavy duty computer just look for a light weight snap on cover one thats in the heavy duty catagory. Learnd that from getting kids IPads. Now if they can make the cord plug ins bigger and less breakable for small hands. Get yourself a water proof desk for the patio lol Im waiting for a solar powered laptop or at least IPad. If I could invent it I would but not my expertise.

Shares looking a little better here towards the close.

MUX in particular catching some short covering or God forbid some new buyers.

Just in case, will be interested in buying the most outdorr/rugged laptop they make if anyone has suggestion.

Supposedly the GDXJ rebalancing will be done by the 17th. Hopefully that will help us … or at least certain stocks. Earnings should be improving with this higher gold price.

I’m just tossing out ideas. For my fellow money engineers to chew on. Another idea here is the constant beating share investors get, and many might be gun shy, and staying on the side until things clarify for them. Re the gold bottom on may 10th?

These miners out performed gold since may 10th. Gold spot up 5% but IAG+ 25% GFI+ 21% KGC+ 18% BTG+ 17% RGLD+ 16% OR+ 16%. There are others. The market like the market caps between $1 billion and $5 billion.

The smaller caps are the losers so far, the ones under $500 million. High risk high return. No place for big investments. Long shots, are out performers later on until momentum picks up. Then every dog out there takes off.

Mr. Copper – I don’t know why there would be sellers. I suspect something more nefarious having to do with the never ending games they play with GDX and especially GDXJ. As I’ve said a million times – I know nothing and it shows in my net worth.

It sure is abnormal. It started a while back. At first I figured they reset the artificial market makers because the pricing got too high too fast in early 2016. Now I’m wondering if maybe some share owners see the end game approaching. It would be normal for some share people to start cashing out of shares and wire transfer the funds into physical re an internet coin and bullion dealer.

I’m not sure we’ve ever seen anything like what we’re seeing right now with the shares. With the exception of a couple of monster runs over the last 17 years, they’ve always been a nightmare, but this is unprecedented IMHO.
