BG – I believe that is $65 K each

Posted by Alex Valdor @ 16:14 on June 15, 2017

Personally , I would like to see them taken alive , but gutshot and on through the backbone so they spend the rest of their miserable lives in a wheelchair , thus no hazard to future guards ( or other inmates ).

If found first by the police , I anticipate either a whining total submission without a gunfight , or a fight to the death .

$130K ea.? Is that dead or alive?

Not sure I’d like to try to take them alive. πŸ™‚

Seems like easy money….

I doubt anything silly. Some architect was negligent and didn’t think about life safety implications in high rise construction. Probably should have had better liability insurance, a good spec writer and gone to continuing education concerning egress, fire, smoke and flame spread of materials.

Hey look a high-rise fire in a Β building didn’t collapse. Where’s the thermite charges when you need them?

A chiva is an inexpensive, colorful rural ‘bus’ , open on the curb side to allow entry to each row of benches inside , and with racks on the roof for chickens , bananas , pigs , hardware , farm supplies , etc.
They are made from truck chassis , allow seating for about six people abreast per bench , and about 8 rows of benches , plus those who cannot find seating inside and ride the back bumper hanging on for dear life . I have seen as many as six or seven riding the bumper at a time . The cost for our ten or fifteen mile trip was about a dollar each . but takes over an hour through wonderfully scenic countryside . I would happily have paid a hundred dollars to have my kids and grandkids along .

You know me too well. LoL

I am in these markets to make money. Period. EOM

I dont care which direction they want to move, JUST MOVE! πŸ™‚

Got enough tools to play with that I should be able to make a buck. Days like today drive me nuts ! Shoulda gone fishing !!

Still have my JDST (insurance policy for the PM stocks) and my DSLV from yesterday. Was hoping for some sign of a reversal to the upside so I could switch horses, but da nada so far. Basically just in a holding pattern, keeping the profits from yesterday. A trader would be happy I guess. I want to feel the breeze of bullets going by. LOL

Even wishing I was down in Columbia with Alex transversing those jungle trails. And I hate the jungle !

Highlights of my day so far are as follows:

Unloaded the dishwasher. Did three loads of laundry. Poured the miracle grow to all the plants. Took the dog for a poop walk. And thinking of either washing the truck, or pressure washing the back deck. OR, there are two bad boyz prisoners on the loose in Georgia. Shot and killed two Correction Officers while being transported couple days ago. Reward is up to 130,000 each. You doing anything tonight??

Ps) they are both armed and driving a stolen Ford F250 pick up truck. Seems like a fair fight too me. πŸ™‚

If volatility picks up a little you might be able to play the 3 times QQQ shares.

Buy every down open and hold until the close because it always comes back.

Alex, What Is a Chiva ?

On Sunday , we took a Chiva to visit friends in the country . On the way , on the one lane dirt road through the jungle , we met an oncoming Chiva .

I have no idea how we passed , but we did !

News is the accurate reporting of the facts without bias.

Propaganda is the twisting or deliberate misleading of the facts to influence the reader to a certain point of view or opinion.

Sounds like a dangerous place!

I saw a documentary about the housing market in Argentina. The financing system for houses has broken down on account of the massive inflation and if you want to buy a house you better be able to pay cash. That’s a lot of simoleons!

I think Columbia’s come along ways in the past few years. Much better than it used to be.

IPSO – you are absolutely correct

Posted by Alex Valdor @ 11:23 on June 15, 2017

There is a TV reality show in which a team goes to various locations to purchase very valuable vintage cars . I saw an episode where they went to Buenos Aires and located a couple of gems from that era of Argentinian wealth . The problem was getting the owners paid ( cash deal ) without being robbed or killed , and getting the vehicles out of the city and country without having them stolen by the underworld types . You could not pay me enough to do that !…and I spend part of my time in ‘peaceful’ Colombia .

R640 – a race to the bottom between South Africa and Argentina

Posted by Alex Valdor @ 11:15 on June 15, 2017

It reminds me of a story circulating during the Cold War . A race was held behind the Iron Curtain in which there were only two entrants – a Communist built car and an American Corvette . The Corvette won by a mile .

The Communist news reported ‘ Communist vehicle wins second place in road race – American Corvette finishes next to last ! ‘

In the 20’s and 30’s Argentina had one of the highest standards of living in the world. They’ve sure screwed up their country since then. Socialism and corruption have wreaked havoc. I hope they don’t go down Venezuela’s path …

PS … and you’re right, it’s not a great country to invest in ….

IPSO -re: Argentina

Posted by Alex Valdor @ 11:01 on June 15, 2017

The country has never recovered from the Peron mindset – rob the ‘rich’ and buy votes from the masses . ( Does that sound familiar ?)

I worked for AECL ( Atomic Energy of Canada Limited ) in the 70’s , and the company sold two CANDU reactors to Argentina under a contract payable in Argentine money , with an inflation adjustment . But the adjustment was capped at 30 % per year . They blew past that even before the plant was completed . The President of AECL had just retired as the scandal broke and his replacement took the axe in his stead . The Canadian public took the financial hit because AECL was a Crown Corporation .

I would NEVER invest in an company planning on a return from an Argentinian investment . Britain essentially went to war over the Falklands to protect the British population there , and since undersea oil has been discovered nearby , Argentina again claims the ‘Malvinas’ are theirs .

Misery loves company

Posted by Buygold @ 10:59 on June 15, 2017

Maybe Mr. Yellen’s rate hike was the straw that broke the stock markets back.

I’d love to see that bloated pig fall about 70%

Thought the shares might hang tough but now they’re playing whack a mole.
