I sure hope you are right, Eastwood is a legend.
Moggy, It Appears The Eastwood Death Story Is a Hoax
so say some websites and I could not find any other news to confirm. Lets hope its just a hoax.
georgia election, early results
karen handel (heffalump party) holding an early three percentage point lead over jon ossoff (jackass party).
jon ossoff and pee wee herman? were they separated at birth?
Farmboy
Were you the cause? Have you considered DeCaf & Nic Patches?

Yes, a 5.1 quake 20 miles away will rock your world! (Speaking from recent experience) 🙂
The ranch here is built on a flat slab on gravel over lava rock. It has endured 45 years of some pretty nasty ‘shakers’ because the whole slab ‘floats’ together without ripping the house apart. Many homes here are build above ground on post & pier settings, effectively giving the house ‘legs’ to stand on. These frequently ‘walk’ off their foundation piers and tear the house apart in a good shaker.
Maya @ 14:28
That EQ might be in Farmboy’s neighborhood but Augusta is much too far away for it to affect me, I’m only a few miles from the N.C. state line and FB is a good 80 miles south of me.
Some years ago there was a 5.1 EQ along the East TN/West NC border about 20 miles from me and boyo, did it rock my mountain. That is the EQ fault that will make me sit up and take notice, not the one way south of my home.

May is politically ‘brown bread’….rhyming slang for Dead…rarely has there been a more cloth eared politician, she should never have had the job…..I think they ( the Remoaners in the Tory party) gave it to her because they thought she might screw up Brexit…but that has backfired big time. the next leader has to be a solid Brexiteer, or the Tories will be slaughtered electorally.
As for the average true Brit, we know the Van driver should have a medal…and that mass civil unrest may well come,……unless we vote in politicians who will do the necessary.
I see Gold Hui in a C wave down, of a 2nd wave dn….but shares are beginning to out perform metal big time, which suggests a major turn is not far off.
Seriously… Read This!
It might be hopeless, but “We the People” need to make a bunch of noise about draining the swamp, and our bought-and-paid-for politicians that only represent special interests. George Ure has a great idea.

What’s shakin’ in Georgia?
Not just the election stirring things up. Had a 3.2 earthquake down in Farmboy & Moggy’s neighborhood.
…or did Farmboy just get one of those vibrating beds??
Sorry I’m late. I had some actual contract work I got well paid for overnight. And still nobody makes coffee…. (sigh)

Again, Bitcoin ignorance reigns supreme. When a BTC transaction is started, the ‘buying’ party software sending out BTC is able to set an amount of ‘reward’ (usually a few fractions of BTC) for the first node that catches the new transaction and confirms it. Then it propagates to other nodes for more confirmations of transaction. But there is ‘payment’ to the network node that first confirms it.
Also, when I dealt with an exchange, they DID charge a small sum for the transaction.
So the whole ‘theory’ of that article is completely bogus… ignorance.
Digital currencies-I dunno if this is correct…
- Alleged “exchanges” have no clean business model. A valid exchange must exist solely on fees charged for transactions. The problem is that a distributed authentication model, which is what makes “blockchain” work, inherently has no means for the validating nodes to charge back the work of validation to the transacting parties. This results in those nodes having to exist via some other means (e.g. mining), and that means is usually speculating on the coins themselves! If you want to know why these exchanges seem to have a record of absconding with your coins (or “losing” them), this is the reason — they have no legitimate business model to otherwise pay for the continuing daily costs of validating and transacting between parties.
- ALL such “digital currencies” are by design and intent a means to separate you from wealth and give it to whoever founded said “currency.” They are for this reason all effectively a pyramid scheme. This will inevitably lead to the seizure and closing of all such systems — if and when governments figure it out. The reason is simple: With a finite and ever-more-difficult means of mining each successive coin the effect on value for participants is exactly the same as it is in any pyramid scheme. Since nothing of physical existence is created or dug out of the ground there is no utility value and thus no floor price, unlike gold or silver (both of which have industrial value due to the metallurgical properties.) The person who “invents” such a system gets to “mine” many coins at very low cost (in electricity or whatever.) He then watches the “value” of said coins escalate as each one becomes harder to “mine” and as hype takes over, and can convert that “wealth” into some other form, whether it be a fiat currency, real property or otherwise. The founder always makes a grossly outsized “profit” in this fashion with the available profit dropping exponentially and ratably in every single case simply based on the number of participants. At the beginning recruiting others who also make money is easy because mining the coins is easy. However, over time recruiting others becomes harder and harder. This is exactlyidentical to what happens in a traditional pyramid scheme — the founder gets a cut off all the sales from everyone under him. The next layer who all find the field “unmowed” with lots of customers make a lot of money too, but always less than the first group and so on. But since the number of customers is finite, just as is the number of coins, with each successive layer of participants it gets harder and harder to find others to transact in sufficient volume to turn a profit because the acquisition of each new (coin or customer) becomes exponentially more-difficult. It is thus impossible on a mathematical basis for any such design to be self-sustaining since it relies on an exponentially more difficult act in a finite world. ALL such systems are inherently ponzi schemes whether we are talking about digital currencies or the alleged sale of products.
eeos,
in case you were wondering what happened to all the rain that didn’t fall in that desert, i found it. it has been raining – lots – for a couple weeks here at treefrog manor. there’s rain in the forecast every day for the next ten days. that’s as far out as weather underground goes. that’s o.k. frogs like it wet. i’ve been wet before. i was born wet.
Buygold, Have Never Seen The Markets So Screwed Up !
Which is worrisome. Most ‘Indicators’ are useless. If there is any ‘Good News’ is that Gold and Silver prices are not being slaughtered as in past days. Is that indicative of PM strength, or just more manipulation? I cant get a ‘read’ on these markets at all. Time to go to phiz and ground? I am lost as to what to trade. I better figure out this mess soon, or just go to all Phiz and sit it out. From the ‘news’ headlines, to …you name it… I admit I am completely in the fog. These ole eyes see so little of anything that ‘makes sense’.
The vote in Georgia today may be the clue. Some kid (in his early 30’s) is probably going to win an election in a race normally Republican. The amount of money pumped into this kid (democrat) from outside the State is unbelievable. 90 % or better of his campaign contributions have come from outside Ga, mostly from California (Pelosi) coffers !
The Republican running against him has towed the ‘Traditional Repub” line. Not supporting of Trump or his policies, but running on what the Republicans ‘think’ the people want to hear. Typical campaign rhetoric all around. No substance, all BS. The republicans deserve to lose this one. And if this is the sign of things to come in the 2018 elections, the Dems are going to Win Big Time !!
OK, rant off, I need to follow the advice I gave eeos the other day and figure out how to make a profit in the trading account regardless. No excuses, just finding a way to do it. Its a mess out there !
Those juniors I mentioned yesterday
as being outperformers – MUX, AXU, GPL are all getting bitch slapped today. No volume of course, but just because they can.
I guess since the USD is pretty strong today I should probably be grateful gold and silver aren’t getting creamed….
but I’m not…

Yeah Calif had a lot of beautiful areas but as a tourist you don’t see what over immigration does or sent your son or daughter to school there. It raises prices for young starting out and hyper inflates areas other wise affordable at some point to keep crime out. That causes further poverty like a disease. It is one of the most diverse though and why you see less, no zero, conflicts. Many have filled the prisons here which also almost turned into a epidemic until we votes building more down. Immigratiom is a lucrative business to Brown that can also draw the citizens kids in.
I see not much air improvement in the Valley above the valley Simi. If your hit in hot temps there it is also higher elevation less air. Can be a bad mixture if not used to in when smog sets in. It is beautiful with lots to do. Few hours your in the coast few hours in the mountains. Have a younger brother in Simi has a buisness there.
Last time I was in Denver they were complaining about not getting snow early for skiing and that was back in 2000. Lots of mountains I loved and the German towns and artifacts of past. Only place besides Wyoming to get a buffalo burger I know of although moving toward more vegetarian now. Visited the place they made beer. Very clean smelled like yeast. Free samples but I’m not a big drinker. Beautiful sky’s. Meanwhile other places getting colder they say.
Doctors have to be careful in this heat. What can be wrong with baby, has a temp. Just teething. No it’s the heat. Even got a text from youngest daughter temp 102 her kid, thought he was sick. Nope told her the heat, Cooled him down fluids he was fine.
If we did come from another planet it must have been cooler.

I saw it on the news briefly but they have become more worried about rating than human interest ” the biggest news” was the white guy turned terrorist. Reality was reactionary to their lack of action as usual. Don’t condone but understand why. Then England’s muslim mayor saying things of Attacks of past Just part of living in the big city and have to get used to it. Young kids killed. Then no reason for alarm. Now that it’s muslims he’s screamimg terrorist. That tells England nothing about what he’s up to?
When I was a teen and ran all the time. I ran a world record by 14 and found new ways of running all the time including running straight up mountains. Sometimes would go out farther in mountains to see what’s there. Would find chard remains of houses. They never rebuilt. Everything’s fine till a fire goes through eating everything in its path.
This is a time water can get contaminated too. Have to watch pools and kids. From cryptosporidium to brain eating fungus and water can be clear.
I dunno Goldilocks
Is the weather ever bad in CA? Ha! I was just in Ventura for the weekend and had a great time. I love coming to CA and touring around. The farms are mind blowing. Someone told me that CA has devastated 90% of their coastal wetlands from food crops. I love to eat so how can I complain. If you don’t like Mexicans on this board and you want to build that wall, I can see where $500 loaves of bread will be coming from.
Flew over the Grand Canyon and Monument Valley, very impressive as usual. There’s a HUGE desert between you and I. Denver is expecting more than 30 days of 100 degree days in the future. When I see how big the desert is, I have no doubt seeing how this will be possible. I hope MT and ID can handle the influx of people that are packing bags and moving north.

Also went to the Ronald Reagan Library with soee and EE. I’d probably not visit other presidential libraries so fast. Maybe I’m overlooking a few I can’t think of at the moment besides Kennedy. The house of Ron is great.

Re Gold sometimes never has support, Because Oil sometimes never has support.
We are dealing with a man made artificial economy. There is no invisible hand of capitalism keeping things normal and stable. Its kind of like special interest mob rule of the economy.
Man made artificial winners (borrowers, real estate, auto sales, space and defense) and artificial losers. (savers, farmers, miners, producers, entry level private sector employees)
This abnormal situation will and has been gradually catching up to the master planners. They have no idea what’s wrong, or they know what’s wrong, but it will hurt them to admit it and fix it.
Listen close to what they say. They are BEGGING for wage inflation. And in their small little minds, they think a shortage of labor with drive wages higher, and they don’t understand why 4.25% unemployment is not doing it.
There will NEVER EVER be a shortage of labor, that will drive up labor costs. Labor has to be treated or considered like the cost of public utilities, health insurance or the cost of property taxes. You HAVE to pay what they cost or you don’t get.
The cost of living for a live person, (food fuel & shelter) is like the cost of a new car or house or anything else. You have to pay what it COSTS. (plus a profit) But not these days with labor costs. You can get live labor BELOW cost. Called dumping when it comes to steel from China.
Labor, below cost, for a business, is worse than slavery. Because a slave owner HAD to actually pay the purchasing cost of a slave, AND provide food fuel and shelter cost. Even medical cost. If a slave got sick, I’m sure the owner at least took the slave to a vet or Doctor.
Besides all that, these masses of under paid Americans can’t contribute to Gov’t, or society, and are a burden on fellow Americans. If a small business does not generate enough revenue to pay the COST of his labor, he has to go into a different business, for figure out a way to generate more revenue.
I know a person 73 years old now, that had eight small retail stores since the 1970s. He paid below cost labor. Aka minimum wage in NYC. About $7/hr. I told him, his employees are on food stamps etc, that I’m subsidizing his work force.
His profits went into real estate. The OTHER favored protected sector. Here he is owning about 16 multi family houses, containing about 26 to 30 rental units. If he paid the livable wage, maybe he would have only half of those properties, which is still a good thing. Bottom line he can’t take it all with him, and it will all be left behind. Referred to as inter generational wealth.
Tons of THAT out there. Watch the low paid masses drag the whole system down, into a massive deflation. The “price” or “pay back” time. 🙂
