Re Tesla…I reckon it is the Model 3 that will sink him, he has to sell that in serious Vol and as of now, no-one wants Electric cars in Vol.

Read a report on Palladium as to why it has a decent backwardation….reason is the move against Diesel cars…Cities are banning them all over Europe….don’t ask why……Petrol ones use more Palladium in their Cats…hence the demand….the analyst was asked what about electric cars taking demand from both….Answer ……Electric cars are NOT a factor in demand analysis of car industry.

Maya, I have often wondered who would be the real world names linked to Atlas Shrugged characters that went to the Gulch.

All the talk of Elon Musk around here really got me thinking. A Rearden, Francisco type but sucking off the .gov teat.

More of a Dr Stadler. Then there is Ragnar Danneskgold…Osama Bin Laden?

Lots of parallels to today’s real world as Ayn is uncannily prescient.

Who is John Galt? Com’on Maya, you have to come up with something tougher for this crowd.

Czech Republic Joins Poland, Hungary and Slovakia in Refusing EU-Imposed Migrants

2 Jun 12, 2017 Source: thegatewaypundit.com

The Czech Republic has joined its Central European neighbors in officially announcing a withdrawal from the European Union’s 2015 migrant resettlement program.

After much criticism of the scheme, which seeks to resettle an initial 160,000 migrants from Italy and Greece across EU member states, the Czechs have finally withdrawn citing concerns over security and the ‘’dysfunctionality’’ of what has been criticized as a shambolic program.

Prague had accepted only 12 of the 1,600 migrants required by Brussels before leaving the program, which imposes quotas on all 28 member states under threat of sanction.

The resettlement scheme was the EU’s initial response to the near Biblical wave of migrants which arrived in autumn 2015 following Angela Merkel’s decision to open Germany’s borders.

In April, Czech Interior Minister, Milan Chovanec, had stated that his government would have to decide whether resistance to the EU’s quotas was worth the massive fines such a refusal would incur. On Monday, Chovanec announced their decision, a definitive withdrawal based on concerns over terrorism and the vetting of migrants, mainly Muslims from the Middle East.

The decision was supported by a majority of parties across the political spectrum, with even left-wing parties, including the Communist Party, welcoming the announcement.

Public opinion in the Czech Republic, and surrounding countries, runs very strongly against immigration, particularly from Islamic countries.

Ask the average Czech for his opinion on the matter, and you will likely hear concerns about Islamic extremism or anecdotes of ungrateful migrants turning their noses up at Czech hospitality to seek asylum in wealthier countries;

Last year, of a small group of Iraqi Christians welcomed to the country in a church-run scheme, 25 cancelled their asylum applications, retrieved their passports and rented a bus to leave for Germany. Complaints about the standard of accommodation from migrants went down badly among Czechs, many of whom struggle to pay their own rents.

The country’s president, Miloš Zeman, one of the few European heads of state to have supported Donald Trump in last year’s US presidential race, has called the current wave of migrants an ‘’organized invasion’’, drawing parallels between the large-scale migration and the opening stages of the Trojan War.

The outspoken president, who recently declared his intention to stand for re-election in 2018, has criticized both the EU and Angela Merkel for their immigration policies, causing outrage in Brussels and Berlin.

In response to the Czech government’s decision, the EU’s Commissioner for Migration, Home Affairs and Citizenship, Dimitris Avramopoulos, announced on Tuesday that the European Commission would next week give details on action to be taken against countries refusing to accept migrants. It is likely such sanctions will include fines of up to €250,000 per migrant refused – a high price but one, it seems, Prague is willing to pay.

Will the US offer immigration to the Whites  ?  ……… I doubt it !    They are the best farmers and they are being forced off the land every day….just like Rhodesia until they run deficit s of food instead of surpluses ””starvation” takes second place to “Power”….The land was settled by them before the current tribes moved in,but no one cares…

The narrative is similar to that being fostered against Trump.Truth dosent matter ! Read about the Suidlanders.

The whites have been there since 1659  ….Dutch,Boers,Germans,British…

But it is always painful to recall those hard times and events where one has to decide to either pick up the pieces and carry on, or sink into a quagmire of self pity and hate. I chose the former because of that Higher Power taking me into His arms when I needed the help, and my life has been blessed over and over again with love, good friends, and an ability to see and understand things most others refuse to acknowledge. But that’s okay. We are each and all on our own path and mission in this beautiful life, and as long as we stay true to it we will all come through okay.

Beautiful SnG. Was today your anniversary?

Kinda along the same lines

Posted by silverngold @ 0:27 on June 12, 2017

March 3, 1994 my wife was killed in a head-on collision with a logging truck on the highway. During a process of grieving I went through a period of automatic writing for the next few months where I was “given” the words to many songs/poems from a Higher Power. This is one of those songs.

HARD TIMES

SOME PEOPLE LIVE THEIR  LIVES DOWN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD

THEY AVOID THE ROUGH SPOTS AND THEY DON’T CARRY ANY LOAD

BUT THAT WASN’T MEANT FOR ME AS I STUMBLE DOWN MY TRAIL

I SEEM TO GO FROM HIGH TO LOW, FROM HAPPINESS TO DEEP TRAVAIL

I KNOW IT HAPPENS FOR A REASON ‘CAUSE THERE’S LESSONS I MUST LEARN

SO I’M GIVEN EVERY PLEASURE AS I CLIMB

BUT WHEN I’M HAPPY AND CONTENTED AND THERE’S MONEY TO BURN

I BETTER LOOK OUT ‘CAUSE I’M HEADED FOR HARD TIMES

I HAD A PRETTY WIFE, THAT WAS A DREAM COME TRUE

AND WE LIVED UPON OUR RANCH, AND I’M TELLING YOU

SHE WAS MY LIFE’S INSPIRATION, SHE WAS A BUTTERFLY

SHE WAS MY REASON FOR LIVING, AND THEN SHE DIED

I KNOW IT HAPPENED FOR A REASON ‘CAUSE THERE’S LESSONS I MUST LEARN

SO I’M GIVEN EVERY PLEASURE AS I CLIMB

BUT WHEN I’M HAPPY AND CONTENTED AND THERE’S MONEY TO BURN

I BETTER LOOK OUT ‘CAUSE I’M HEADED FOR HARD TIMES

NOW I LIVE MY LIFE IN SOLITUDE, IN THE CONFINES OF MY MIND

AS I REMEMBER ALL THESE HAPPENINGS AGAIN

NOW I LISTEN AND I STUDY, AS I TRY TO FIND

WAYS TO MAKE THIS WORLD A BETTER PLACE THAN IT’S BEEN

I KNOW THINGS HAPPEN FOR A REASON ‘CAUSE THERE’S LESSONS WE MUST LEARN

SO WE’RE GIVEN EVERY PLEASURE AS WE CLIMB

BUT WHEN WE’RE HAPPY AND CONTENTED AND THERE’S MONEY TO BURN

WE BETTER LOOK OUT  ‘CAUSE WE’RE HEADED FOR HARD TIMES

A few years later I picked up the broken pieces and continued on with my life, remarried and had two more beautiful daughters who are both now attending university. One is studying criminology and playing university soccer and is determined to join the RCMP, and recently hired for the summer as a security guard; the other is taking psychology, has danced all her life, and is now teaching dance from beginners to advanced students. Raised side by side, they are as different as night and day but both are a pleasure and a treasure to this old mans mind and heart.

So I understand that when one door closes, another door opens, and life goes on until it doesn’t. Overall it has been a wonderful life full of beauty and tragedy, failure and success, and I have learned to listen to that wee small voice that is always there to guide and give direction. All the best from Silverngold.

Talked to guy tonight that specializes in trucking logistics out of Calgary. Does large equipment moves (think oil sands) , specialty stuff.

I asked what his big clients are now and he said US military. Well that piqued my interest. So I asked where the hardware was going, thinking CONUS. He matter of factly shrugged his shoulders and said Israel.

I might have retorted Jordan too?
