Mr Copper, eeos, Goldielocks

Posted by Ozibatla @ 4:32 on April 4, 2017

Thanks for the thumbs up.

eeos: I thought we owed it to all of you here to send an update.

Mr Copper: back when we had the 1 website, but most of my posts were when it was early morning in the USA, & I was sitting in my donga (remote mine construction temporary accommodation)  halfway through my second bottle of red. And the quality of my posts reflected that situation.

Goldielocks: Thanks. I have just watched Kelly Slater at the Quicksilver Pro &  ladies in the Roxy Pro at one of our local surf breaks.

Kelly Slater has to be one of the greatest athletes of any sport ever. Still competing at the top level at 45 yo!

Confirmed: Susan Rice “Unmasked” Trump Team

I am guessing at some point soon the Donald will start a major campaign to have this lot brought to book…he may wait a little longer to see if Bath House can be exposed without his help, a la Rice….but Rice did nothing without Bath House’s say so……so .

Plus he can wage another war on the MSM, if they obstruct/hide all this…..and then there is the Clinton Foundation…..there may not be an opposition come next year.

What odds on Bath House spending his days in Gitmo….the irony would be just beautiful.

He didn’t remember that himself before but he sure did a good job pointing out the difference between liberal and conservative judges. A must listen. Liberals will rule on effect and gov. faulting the constitution they were to uphold. Conservative will tend to rule on constitution and individual rights.

Thanks for dropping in. Glad everyone’s doing well. Building self sufficient homes is a good idea. Life boat must be one heck of a sailor.

Thanks for the comebacks. Ozibatlare, I don’t remember your handle. Did you use different handles years ago? Let me know. I saved lots of old posts, and I can search your past info.

There were posts earlier about using EMP on North Korea

not sure how much good that would do …NK apparently is hardly electrified if the night time photo is any indication .

I guess it would knock out military electronics , etc.

The Witch Strikes Yet Again: 34 Year Old Clinton Aid Dead From Heart Attack After Being Summoned To Appear Before Trey Gowdy’s Committee

Just days after being summoned to appear before Trey Gowdy’s congressional committee to testify about Hillary Clinton’s email server, one of her aides was found dead at home of “natural causes.”

John Wilson McGill, 34, was pronounced dead on his couch by a private doctor after suffering an apparent heart attack. A spokesman for Clinton’s former campaign said that Huma Abedin, Clinton’s deputy campaign coordinator, found McGill when she stopped by for coffee.

Abedin told police in a statement that McGill suffered from an abnormal heart arhythmia and that his doctor had always said a sudden and massive cardiac event was a possibility. She also told her publicist to make sure that the whole world didn’t knew [slip of the tongue here?] that he was planning to cooperate with the congressional panel.

Trey Gowdy’s office had no official statement but his top aide, said that the committee isn’t happy with the circumstances of McGill’s death or the fact that [a] private doctor was summoned to pronounce [him dead]. Abedin says she called the private doctor because she hoped he could save her friend.

Comment: He was already dead…how then do you hope to save him. If he wasn’t dead wouldn’t calling 9/11, an ambulance or paramedic team be the choices?

There will be no autopsy on the body, which will be cremated in accordance with his religion. McGill is the single son of deceased parents and has no family. No services are planned.

Does this whole thing seem a little bit odd to anyone else? It feels oddly like we’ve seen things like this happen before to people who could possibly incriminate Hillary Clinton. Unfortunately, as the doctor who pronounced has an impeccable record, the findings will be accepted and entered into public record.

Looks like she got away with another one.

Comment: If she can get away with all of these “deaths by natural causes” with no investigations allowed — as in even an autopsy — she can surely scrub a doctor’s record especially if the cause and diagnosis are rigged as well. Perhaps there are more facts that will surface to better define this tragedy, but for the time being, it stinks to high heaven.

Oh geez Farmboy, don’t let her know I forgot to include her in the first post!

Silverspike is in regular contact with Margaret, & on my recent visit to Mr & Mrs Silverspike’s for coffee & cake(especially the cake), I was told Margaret had recently finished her second book.

What an inspiration that lady is!

Keep those posts coming Farmboy, maybe a book of your posts – “Thoughts of FarmBoy” on the horizon?

cheers

Re Dr. Doom’s Diagnosis of the Banks, the Fed, and the Economy

Posted by Mr.Copper @ 18:07 on April 3, 2017

I remember him from decades ago. I gave it an honest chance, I read the whole story, describing his book of views. Then and now. But unfortunately I couldn’t find any valuable info. He describes many results but no causes, like the MAIN one imports EXCEEDED exports for 50 years. Wages in deflation for 50 years.

Parts and comments

(notwithstanding what he calls the secular problem of the depressed labor force participation rate).

Comment: Masses wages too low.

Now, a frail financial system can’t take a rise in interest rates, as in past periods. The lack of a robust roster of market makers results in the system being ever-more dependent on the Fed, he emphasizes

Comment: Masses wages too low.

the Fed has done more harm than good by keeping rates too low for too long,

Comment: Masses wages too low.

His new book ends on the note that “you can’t go home again,” in the sense that the clock can’t be turned back to a simpler time.

Comment: Masses wages too low.

credit distress is becoming visible in the auto-loan sector, with the asset-backed securities market once again playing the role of enabler, just as it did in the housing debacle last decade.

Comment: Masses wages too low.

I hope you will encourage some of the others to drop by and share their thoughts.

Don’t know nothing about such high engineering things, just passing along some comments. In trying to remember some conversations from too long ago, I think they specifically said, ” an EMP like device”.

Thanks for clarifying the how’s and what’s of a typical EMP attack.

I think this is interesting … Shades of Poldark!

Dr. Doom’s Diagnosis of the Banks, the Fed, and the Economy

Posted by eeos @ 17:16 on April 3, 2017

There was a time when markets moved not on the televised utterances of Federal Reserve officials or billionaire money managers, but on a small printed report with the unassuming title “Comments on Credit.” That was because it contained the latest insights from Henry Kaufman, Salomon Brothers’ chief economist and head of the firm’s nonpareil research efforts.

Some readers may not recognize the name of the man or the firm, since they were toddlers (or perhaps not yet born) in Salomon’s heyday of the 1970s and ’80s. During that time, Kaufman earned the sobriquet of Dr. Doom for his consistently downbeat—but consistently prescient—forecasts of inflation and interest rates rising to unprecedented levels well into the double digits. Anyone younger than 35 years old has lived only in a period of disinflation and generally falling interest rates.

So it was enlightening and enjoyable to catch up with Henry via telephone on the occasion of the publication of his latest book, Tectonic Shifts in Financial Markets: People, Policies, and Institutions. At my end, his voice sounded the same as it did when he addressed a New York City hotel ballroom packed with clients and media 3½ decades ago to outline his eagerly anticipated forecast for the coming year. But his weekly “Comments” carried as much clout as his annual predictions did during those days of soaring bond yields and extreme volatility.

He later parted company with Salomon over disagreements about the risky tack the firm had taken and formed his own consultancy. Solly would later be hit by the infamous Treasury auction scandal, after which it was folded into various firms that were melded by Sandy Weill into what ultimately became Citigroup (ticker: C).  Read more

Donating and reaching out to others does help but admire the ones who can foster or get out there. There was one man in China who risk how life getting out dogs bound for underground meat market plus taking pictures. Everytime some horific abuse comes out here comes the copy cats looking for selfies.people are pushing not to send live animals to China due to the horific treatment.  There pushing for harsher penalites but at the same time you got gov special interest going after those who take pics of abuse in industrial farms. The sub human who did that to katlyn got 20 years. Criminal aready they combined other charges.

Hi all, for those interested,  just a quickie update regarding previous posters. Here’s a run down.

LP re-married, is happy & very involved in his local church community.

Ferret & LP are building self sufficient properties.

Illusion travels, trades shares & lives on a stunning property in beautiful NZ.

Lifeboat has sailed from Oz to SE Asia, across the Indian Ocean, up West Africa, the Caribbean & is around east coast Canada now.

Silverspike travels & lives in a beautiful quiet, coastal town in nthern NSW.

I have given up FIFO after 30yrs, & now have good lifestyle balance with some travel.

We try to meet for a lunch, usually when Illusion stops by on his way to a new destination, but we are waiting on Lifeboat to all get back together.

I stop by Oasis several times a week as I enjoy reading the posts, information & links. Thank you. I used to skip a lot of Mr Copper’s posts, but now I look forward to his thoughts.

Thumbs up to Wanka.

Kind regards

Ozibatla
