Loading ...The comments on the article I posted at 13:43 are quite telling. The powerhouse was shut down first because of backflow from the spillways clogging it. Now also because the powerlines across the spillway are endangered. They cannot open the powerhouse raceways with no load on the generators. The key here is that they have NO WAY to lower the lake level thru the powerhouse raceways. Now the ‘normal’ spillway they are using will only lower the lake level 50 feet. That is the spillway intake level. Without the powerhouse operational, they have NO WAY to lower the lake level 120 feet that they would like.
