Raider fans are rabid! I don’t know the particulars yet but the guy who wants to move them is surely feeling the heat.
“Las Vegas Raiders” It just don’t sound right.

LOL! Why even have a winner, why keep score? A trophy for everyone and then join hands and sing! 🙂
I doubt the snowflakes will do what they need to survive. They just won’t do it and expect others to do it for them. They’ll also be whining when the immigrants are standing in line in front them by the thousands and getting the food meant for them or the local starbucks and Mac Donnalds is closed. As it is the illegals go through others trash.. Mail and don’t even try to hide it half the time.  One of those you get what you ask for.
It used to be majority southern Cal and coastal areas but it’s spreading out everywhere. It saddens me here to see in heavy fishing areas they are now standing side by side fishing. Takes something out of it when you have to worry about your hook getting tangled with someone else who crossed you’rs. Guess that’s what a cigg is good for. Cuts those invasive lines real fast lol
I’m thinking “Raider Nation” will probably do OK in Vegas. They’ll have a nice indoor stadium and the animals that live in L.A. aka Raider fans will make a weekend trip to see their homies.
Raiders, like the Hawks were dealt a death blow when Derek Carr broke his leg. Otherwise we may have been watching the Pats/Raiders yesterday.
Should be a great game with the boys and the pack in a few hours. That’s one good thing about the cold and snow – a lot fewer Honeydo’s 🙂
I figure the Raiders have decided to move to Las Vegas so they can keep playing football. Figure it wont be long before the teams in California start demanding ‘Participation Trophies’ before they agree to play a game. 🙂
The South is a little different than the North. Here in the South, Football is not a game, it’s a religion.
We may swap in our wives from time to time, retire the ‘lucky’ fishing pole for a new one, or even trade in the ole pick em up. But, football fans are a generational type of thing. I’m in Georgia and thus a Dawg Fan. Floridagold lives in Florida, and is a misguided Gator fan. It’s a wonder we even talk to each other.
A lot of folks are looking for signs to the end of the world. I will give you one. The Christmas Floridagold and I exchange gifts would be a good sign the end is indeed near. When he sends me a pair of gator skin boots, and I send him a dozen Bulldog puppies (so he can feed his pet Gator), there will be Peace on Earth or something like that.
Course, he did point me to a BBQ place in Memphis once, so maybe there is hope for him. That ‘Good side’ you talked about. But this feud could last longer than the Hatfields & Mcoys.
But you are probably right, other than being a Gator fan, he is probably a decent guy. 🙂
I heard a rumor that the Raiders are moving to Las Vegas!
What’s the world coming too?
Good luck with your Fantasy Football! 🙂
There are a lot of Pack fans here in these parts. I haven’t had a dog in the fight since Kurt Warner and the Rams.
I’m reduced to playing Fantasy Football. 🙂
The Seahawks seem to need about a half dozen running backs in the hopes that one or two will be healthy enough to play!
Since the Hawks are out of it … I will just say Go Packers! 🙂
No question about it, he has been a winner everywhere he’s coached.
They miss Marshawn Lynch badly and Earl Thomas getting hurt made a huge impact. There are a lot of good running backs in the draft, I’d expect they’ll be looking to make a deal.
I’m not holding a grudge against you my friend.
I don’t know about Carroll’s days at USC but he must have done well there to get to be an NFL coach. Since he’s been here I have only heard good things about him … and if I was a player I’d sure rather be coached by him than someone with a style more like Ditka’s. If he had an arrogant moment … well that’s not good but I haven’t heard that he’s arrogant in general, far from it.
I’d like to live in his neighborhood too! ![]()
Yeah, that Floridagold is a tricky one. He has a good side though, just make sure you stay on it.

Don’t go holding a grudge against me. 🙂
He got out of the speeding ticket but my nephew said he was really arrogant…that’s all. Maybe he’s earned the right, or maybe he was having a bad day. This was back when he was coaching USC – he left that program in shambles. That was when Reggie Bush, other players, and recruits were getting “gifts” from Alumni and the team was suspended from bowl games.
He claimed no knowledge, but did fly the coup that year and did a good job with the Hawks.
I would love to have him as my neighbor or at least live in his neighborhood… 🙂
Course, he then ruins the moment by going and preaching to me about those ‘Honey Do Commandments’, which are not to be confused with those Ten Suggestions written in stone. There is The One, and then there is THE One. Both swear they have my best interest at heart, but sometimes a fella wonders ?
For example: What difference does it make if I take out the garbage on late Tuesday night, or early Wednesday morning, long as it gets to the curb in time? Apparently, I am breaking some Universal Guideline, no doubt with catastrophic measures, if I fail to deliver the waste on Tuesday night. Reckon that is why we have women around, to explain to us men, how easily we could destroy the planet, if not the galaxy. Bless their hearts, at least they don’t interfere with the football game, or fishing. 🙂
Have a good one Buygold, should be a good game to watch after I get the chores done.
You won’t find anyone around here who has a bad word to say about him.
“He tried to get out of speeding ticket”
What a monster! LOL
Starts about the 10:00 mark. Talks about cycles, sees a rough 3 years ahead, oddly doesn’t mention gold – unless I fell asleep by the time he did. 🙂
I like the Falcon’s chances quite a bit. I think you’ll get your wish and they’ll go into Dallas – don’t really see Green Bay being able to stop the run against Dallas today, which will keep the ball out of Rodgers hands. Jordy Nelson being out hurts bigtime.
Course, my prognosticating with football is only slightly better than how I do with stocks. 🙂
Funny how good the oddsmakers are though. New England favored by 15.5 yesterday – win by 18.
Dallas favored by 5.
Being ‘retired’ I now have time to catch up on all that sleep I lost during my working life. And get up when I feel like it… yup, Wanka taught me well… the “No Wake Zone”.
not sure how many more days of these 70’s we are going to have. Average temps for Atlanta in January are highs of 54 and low 34, so this break is quite out of the normal range. And don’t worry, come july and august I will be wishing I was up north with you. But today, was picture perfect. Even the Falcons won. Been over 20 years since Atlanta has been in the Super Bowl. Kinda getting my hopes up again.
Think the Falcons can beat Dallas, not so confident if they go up against Greenbay. Have to see what happens tomorrow.
In the meantime, you Northern ones keep shoveling and putting on those snow chains. Spring is only 3 or 4 more months away. 🙂
The best I can do as far as Pete Carroll goes is that my nephew was a cop in L.A. and pulled him over one time for speeding, 20 mph over…Â said to my nephew, “don’t you know who I am son?”
My nephew let him go but knew very well who he was…a jerk.
Pete Carroll was my very next door neighbor for a number of years…not my claim to fame but, true enough as was blossomy Jayne Mansfield as well in a different town before then. Secret stories that I have…snippets. Mutually greeted Donald Trump at the Plaza NYC back in those days…fond memories of youthful days.
75 degrees is unfair, both to me and to Auandag. We hit a high of 18 here and Thank God no wind! I imagine Auandag would think what I have is like summer time!
Now, I don’t want to offend my good man Ipso but I do hope the Falcons prevail. Not because I dislike his Seahawks, but I do dislike Pete Carroll, IMHO he has no right to coach such a good team and he left USC in a mess when he jumped to the NFL.
Just sayin’
