Friday I kinda did a straddle thing. Figured overseas markets would drive PM’s higher while our markets were closed so added some JUNG. Also figured the banksters would come in today with a bop, so had some JDST. Closed out Jung this morning for a profit, now waiting to see if the Banksters are going to show up with their normal slap down. Be nice to collect on both trades today, and then I will get back to pushing. 🙂

Just glad to see the PM’s picking up some strength of late. It’s been a long dry spell. Go Gold ! Wait, Go Banksters, Then Go Gold. LOL

Maybe some code cowboys In the Utah NSA fortress can find a way to crash all the markets on Friday as an inauguration present. What does it take? A few strategic HFT spoofs? There will be lots of police sharpshooters on the DC rooftops that day. What might go wrong?

The New York Times is acting like a Manhattan socialite in a divorce proceeding, with fresh hysterics every day, reminding readers in a front-page story on Monday that “[Martin Luther] King’s birthday falls within days of the birthdays of two Confederate generals, Robert E. Lee and Stonewall Jackson.” Jeez! Who you gonna call? Ghostbusters?

You know, I don’t have to be that smart, or know everything, long as I have friends that do. 🙂

Knew about the split Aces & 8’s. The Double down at 11 helped. Ending up losing $200 at end of the day, but still had a great time and a lot of fun. Learned another lesson, don’t go to the casino on a holiday. Took me almost 2 hours just to get a seat at the table. Watching the other players was great. Seen this one old black grandma, had to be in her eighties, and she was lighting the table up. Tried counting her winnings with her stacks of chips, but figure she had about 4 grand. Kept waiting for a seat next to her to open up but it never happened. Figured she had been playing Blackjack longer than I have been alive. Fun to watch her win.

All in all, a good day and some lessons learned. Got to meet an interesting retired couple. They just travel around the country hitting the casinos. Had some funny stories to share and a bit of advice to a newbie. Good folks.

I can see maybe taking a mini vacation about once a month just to take a break.
