Hi Farmboy – top of the morning to you

Posted by Alex Valdor @ 6:39 on January 25, 2017

Scorpio is a penny stock ( pink sheets ) which is Canadian owned , but operates a large open pit mine in Nevada , and has its own mill . Share prices have tripled within the last year or so ( from the 3-4 cents a share doldrums to about 11 cents a couple of days ago , but trading can be tough as with most lightly traded stocks ) . Not many years ago it was trading in the 30 cents a share range , so beware ! The symbol is SRCRF if you do throw caution to the winds .

MM3 – it is time for pitchforks and torches

I saw this craziness in my hometown in Ontario on my last visit . If memory serves me correctly , Mo (Maurice) Strong , the mastermind behind all this AGW foolishness , was the head of Ontario Hydro and began a movement to shutter the generating stations ( fossil fueled and nuclear ) in favor of  ‘renewable’ energy sources a few decades ago . Niagara Falls was tapped out as a source of energy back in the fifties and sixties , so that was not an alternative . Now my hometown area ( Lambton County ) is dotted with wind farms and even more stupidly , solar farms . Electricity costs are going through the roof , while the huge (and efficient) Lambton Generating Station is being mothballed , long before its projected end of life , within about five miles of the terminus of the pipeline from Alberta bringing crude to the refineries in Sarnia .

I note that within the last few days , Trudeau was in Alberta , wringing his hands and shedding crocodile tears about the economic collapse of their economy , due in large part to the move away from fossil fuels which his party promotes . He feels their pain ….Yeah , right !

And on top of that , you have about a 20% Carbon Tax added to your heating bill . I’d love to see whose pocket benefits from that revenue stream . Having lived in areas in NE Ontario that saw -40 degrees in winter , I know the dependence on relatively inexpensive sources of heat .

I now reside in Florida , where nearby fossil fueled stations are also being shut down long before normal end of life . Maybe Trump can reverse the trend , but I know that leaving generating stations in shutdown mode is akin to leaving a car in a field for a few years , then expecting it to function again without problems when it is needed .

Good Morning Alex,

Have a question about a post you made the other day mentioning Scorpio. What is it? Don’t think I have heard the name before.

Thanks, Farmboy

Maya – hope you get some relief soon

Avoid grease , eat bananas and rice to help allay the symptoms .

Reminds me of the last Tottenham Goldbug get together I was able to attend, almost a decade ago . My wife and I stayed in a very nice hotel in Toronto , where I caught a similar strain of grief . Being room-bound for a couple of days , I noticed that the chamber maids were wearing rubber gloves to clean the toilets , then wore the same gloves to wash the glasses in the bathroom . Mystery solved !

Cheering for the Trump Train (Maya don’t have a pic of that like the coffee he trumped me on) not to hit the brick wall after the curtains are removed at the back of the theatre.

This wall Trump is announcing tomorrow, maybe I’ll become a coyote…we have upwards of 7000 Mexican farm (mostly fruit) workers in the OK valley.

I know an outreach worker who teaches English to them. The family farm uses them, East Indians and now Syrians.

We are the freaking UN of farming.

Hmmm, lots of wild along the border, take payment in shiny…

Trouble is, none of them want to cross.

You should ask the taxing authorities what that ‘carbon tax’ buys you!  The only legitimate excuse I can see would be if they planted more trees with that money.

After that carbon tax attitude adjustment, the first thing I did was light the fireplace with stinky wet wood.

Let’s see how much my carbon footprint just went up…

A little back of the envelope, killed 4 carbon tree sinks, truck and chainsaw gas, not to mention the brewery emissions to keep me hydrated, yup Lumberjack salute to carbon tax from me…

I just opened the gas bill for heating (that was my first mistake)…$45 carbon tax on $250 base. Did no one realize Trump made global warming obsolete today?

Posted by macroman3 @ 19:50 on January 24, 2017

As if I needed incentive to curb emissions… we don’t spend a nickel more than we need to to keep from freezing in the igloo.

Sheesh, you Yanks are right about socialist Canucks.

That’s good news about the investigation but they trashed a lot of the Autism info already. One of them flipped of a parent off of a vax injured child. One of the vax awareness people posted a prayer request for the first child we know of this year a two minth old girl injured and died from the two month so called well baby and vaccines. It’s turned into a money making business and excuse for visits not to mention kick backs. Meanwhile that Pan who sleazed his way into politics is working on ending parental rights over vaccines which can include home schooling and other things their propaganda doesn’t agree with.

Lurker is probably right. It’s hand to mouth and can be picked up anywhere including fast food and resturants before they know they’re sick. Some bleach product and your other will need to clean everything and hope she doesn’t get it. I was surrounded by it for awhile and started feeling under the weather so drank some good  Miso tea and felt better. Probably didn’t get enough of the bug. It could be like food poisoning feeling but with that it will try to get out anyway. Sweating vomiting and loose stools plus low grade fever. Body acts similar with stomach flu but not usually as violent, do have to put the fluids and Lytes back though if you can hold them down. IVs bypass all that if necessary.

Snicker… Trump Orders Media Blackout At EPA: Bans Use Of Social Media, Bars New Contracts

Posted by eeos @ 17:41 on January 24, 2017
The Trump administration has instituted a media blackout at the Environmental Protection Agency and barred staff from awarding any new contracts or grants according to the AP.
Emails sent to EPA staff since President Donald Trump’s inauguration on Friday and reviewed by The Associated Press, detailed the specific prohibitions banning press releases, blog updates or posts to the agency’s social media accounts. On Monday, the Huffington Post reported that EPA grants had been frozen, with agency employees barred from speaking of the matter.  The memo ordering the social media blackout is shown below.
