New numbers show that the 7,499 ‘highly compensated,’ six-figure school administrator/teacher retirees cost IL taxpayers nearly $1 billion per year. But in just six years, the problem of six-figure pensions will be three-times worse.

In 2014 I wrote in Forbes about a pair of union lobbyists who substitute taught for one-day in the public schools and then started collecting over $1 million of lifetime public ‘teacher’ pension payout – despite a state law expressly designed to stop them.

Now, after recent Illinois Supreme Court decisions confirming that pension benefits are constitutionally guaranteed (including the pensions for the pair of union lobbyists above), the public employee gravy train is running faster than ever.

This week, our organization at OpenTheBooks.com debuted our interactive info mapping platformgiving context to the 7,499 retired Illinois educators who pulled-down a pension of $100,000 or more. These retirees cost Illinois taxpayers $900 million (2015). Individually, these pension millionaires contributed so little to the system that they ‘broke-even’ on their ‘cost-basis’ within the first 20-months of retirement.

Yes the new formed gov did have wisdom but the nature of man wasn’t much different even then. Today people have more equality and freedons fhey had then, especially women who couldn’t even vote and minorities.  They created the seeds to this freedom but I don’t think they fully realized it then. As I mentioned even Franklin caused the deaths of the natural inhabitants of the ” new” world over immigrants and history repeats. He signed the Indian Removal Act that let to the events of the Trail of Tears. They speak of limiting Gov but yet it was all Gov then and the natural citizens of that time had little to no say as the stole their land and ransacked their property. The current natural citizens should pay attention before they’re next. No different than executive orders or political cronyism for personal profit.

Auandag, Didnt know he was that young. They are mostly good people and good neighbors but I’ve seen how trying to pinpoint the end has caused some unfortunate decisions. Like a family with children selling their homes moving into apts to have more time to spread the word and save as many as they can before the end comes and then it doesn’t. Meanwhile real estate went way up.  It even says in Matthew Jesus that time no one knows but my father.

JW was started by a 20 year old named Charles Russell. They have a committee in Brooklyn who interpret the bible. Nobody knows who is on the committee. They predicted the second coming in 1914 and the end of the world in 1916. They have whole bunch of wacky beliefs that are distortions of the bible.

Whatever happened it’s a major loss, because at 57 he had decades left to make music….I never saw him live, always wanted to, but put it off…..next time etc.

I heard the rumor about aids but not about the JWs telling him God will heal him. I studied with JWs when I was young as well as other religions to enlighten myself and see if there is any core beliefs that came along with it. I do not remember ever claiming they don’t need modern medicine like the Christian Scientists. They don’t take blood transfusions it all I remember. The group is basically a good and trustworthy group. You can hand your baby to a fellow JW and vise versa without worry for instance. There reason is Jesus said don’t drink blood so they argue if we’re not to drink blood they shouldn’t take in in their veins either. Plus there are many blood born illness that you can get. That was way before AIDS and Hep C became promminent. I did not agree with that philosophy if someone’s life depended on it. He became a JW I think around 2001 If he already had HIV it seems along time to live without taking drugs. He is in that target age group where HIV was running rampant though. I’m just hearing now they suspect a prescribed drug OD but not suicide. Just speculation and talk right now.

Looks like the results of Prince autopsy won’t be finished till toxicology reports come in and that can take weeks. Because he was a JW Id hope to think he wasn’t taking drugs. It said today that when he was on the plane he became unresponsive so that is pretty serious. I mentioned to my daughter how he crossed all barriers of status quo and was his own person not pushed into a group or even race. That one of the people he admired was Jimmy Hendrix. Luckily I had a fire extinguisher or he would of burnt my car up which was on fire. I took it to a real mechanic and he told me how lucky I was and how dangerous the situation was. That the gas leaking on the pipes could of caused a explosion big enough to blow the roof off the car.

Thats the second, people will stop or turn into rubber necks blocking traffic. Because people are standing around doesn’t mean they know what they are doing or even do anything. Their only purpose is to be there till help comes but may not know what to do say stop bleeding or CPR. For instance in the street a hispanic slash Vietnamese child  in LA was face down bleeding profusely from the nose and not breathing when I got there. There were at least 50 people standing around but doing nothing and needed help to log roll him because of possible neck injury but if did nothing he would die before help could come. No one would help. Then two kids about 10 ran up and helped and did good. The boy survived. Hopefully not to be a Gang banger. More stories like that of all ages. They stand  there but don’t know what to do so you can’t assune because people are there they are first responders. I remember some cops once when reporting the Mexican gangster who why we’re in the neighborhood were chasing to teens with a knife because as some teens can do is mouth off to them and they jumped out of the car. They start taking you for granted and said why didn’t you chase after them? I said guys Im not 20 anymore it’s your turn.
