Kuroda To The Rescue: Stocks Rebound After Latest BOJ Rumor Sends Yen Plunging

Posted by ipso facto @ 9:34 on April 22, 2016

Just as US equity futures were about to roll over following some very substantial misses yesterday by the likes of Google, Microsoft, Starbucks and a plunge in Visa shares, overnight who came to the markets’ rescue but the BOJ, when shortly after midnight Bloomberg reported that “according to people familiar with talks at the BOJ” which is the traditional keyword for a BOJ source testing out the market’s reaction, Japan’s central bank may “help” local banks to lend by offering a negative rate on some loans. This happens just months after the BOJ unleashed negative rates thereby “penalizing” banks who hold too much excess reserves. So just four months after the BOJ went nuclear on its own banks, now it has had a 180 degree change of heart.

The result was immediate: the Yen tumbled, USDJPY spiked and the Nikkei soared by 200 points in the blink of an eye.

Knowing why the market is doing what it does extends your knowledge and helps you make better decisions. Right now “The Rig” is a huge factor in the precious metals markets.

Soon the PM market will realize it’s “wrong” and make a huge upward BO to correct it. IMO

It doesn’t care what anything does whether it’s the USD or gold, it just wants to go higher.

CA aint the nicest state either. I will readily admit that Colorado is a much nicer state than both. I have alot of friends from CA that have invaded my state and I will tell you that in vague terms my friend say this. My friend is a pretty intimidating looking guy. He’s really big and strong looking, probably like he might handle a smaller person real fast. He actually a teddy bear.

He says when he’s pulled over on the side of the road with trouble in CO, half of the state will stop for him. He said in Cali no one will stop. People are too busy serving their own agenda’s.

In NY you have the same people that won’t stop in CA, but NY has an added twist. Instead of stopping to rob you, well they already have. They do things in advance, usually in white collars and suits too

New York City

From age 18 to 21 I worked there…on 6th Avenue (Avenue of the Americas)…and was protected on my walk from the Port Authority by truckers unloading their vehicles, who said they would watch over me as I walked on by.  Then there was the book dealer who gave me special treatment and lots of others who were fine people.  I also met some who were not but all in all, it is – or was – a great city, no vibration like it in any other city I’ve visited…and I’ve visited a lot.

Trump said N Yorkers are great people.. Less your lying on the street injured or dying I guess. The N Yorker people I met I liked though. Maybe they have just become numb to people down on their luck. No matter what they say your thoughts were right because if you did nothing it would haunt you much worse. The scilent angles. They can seem brisk but didn’t bother me because it wasn’t aerogant. Perhaps just a survival thing they learn. Not everyone feels the same. Decades ago I had one of my aides in a busy rehab unit who was from NY. She was a good worker and quite a personality. Jewish and catholic relatives would joke about her Jewish christmas tree. Well I took a day off after getting stuck working a triple 24 hrs straight. When I came back she was gone, some nurse who relieved me fired her.

Went to the office upset that some guy was firing my aides. I forget what she said to him but he was being bossy and a jerk and she a N Yorker said something to him that was funny actually. Now I had to get her back. I told them she wasn’t his aide she was mine and I need her back.
As far as helping people on the street it’s always good but have to be careful.
I’ve helped a lot from children to adults and usually all good but sometimes you may get a nut case. I saw a guy for instance riding a bike down hill too fast on a side walk not even the street and crashed. He rolled into the street. I drove over past him them blocked traffic. It’s a long story and very suspicious with more than one involved and when ambulance came he tried to say I hit him. He was going to try to sue me. Unbeknownst to him others were watching came up and gave it to him as well as their telephone numbers as one says Incase that guy try’s anything. Because he was suspicious I didn’t touch him just blocked traffic or he probably would of said I caused a injury doing it, only if their in danger are you protected or have their permission so remember that if it ever happens again, there is also a trick some will play. Be injured and you go over to help and someone one more than one is hiding to rob you or whatever so have to scan the surroundings unless witnessed, say accident. These kind are the ones that make people not want to stop and help.

thinks they need to “educate ” the ROYAL CHILDREN ..they send them to Scotland  ,its a tough place to live and life can be hard just like the weather ;the children will learn Mathematics Chemistry from the best ..,but if they need to learn about the Arts  they send them to IRELAND a place where Poets Playwrights ,Actors thrive and the English Language is at its peak ….and so it goes….

You have to experience NY city

to appreciate Trumps accomplishments  ..Its a HARD place full of SHARKS and TOUGH  Business people ..I did well there in business ,but I didnt want to live there !  NJ was tough enough  …but in some respects it was a learning experience that you cant get any where else.  My children havent learned how tough it can be and my Grandchildren even less so.!     If you want your children to toughen up send them to work in NYC  ,,,if they are too crass send them to California …Its an education you cant get out of a book…!

Kinda reminds me of my first visit to NYC as a teenager .I was with four friends all teenagers from NJ.  There was was a situation while we were crossing a street …There was a man down on his luck lying in the gutter all wet and dirty ,people were stepping over him to get where they were going ,cars trying to avoid him.My friend Joe bent down to lift the guy up and get him out of the gutter  and safely sat him on the side walk  . When some native New Yorker shouted “Why dont you Take him Home with You ” ?    I was sort of taken aback about how HARD life was in NY compared to NJ at that time…I was jolted out of adolescence and realized I better make sure things never get that   bad for me.  I was 15 (1953)at that time but I was determined I would never be without money or so drunk that would make me end up that way !   It was a trip I never forgot !  I never liked NY after that even though I later did a lot of business there and met some good business people there .I learned from them ,but it was a tough environment and I KNEW how bad things could get if I wasent carefull.   That Chicago incident was a cruel reminder .
