Yep that subject came up. Guess you can look at it two ways but maybe a good idea if human rights violations become too expensive. As far as Arabs they wernt supposed to be our enemies at the time as far as I know. Yet they fund terrorists don’t take refugees and want to expand their cave man religious based power structure by instead offering to put up Mosiques everywhere. The Christians there have certainly been wronged but I sort of doubt that a lawsuit would get very far. The Assad gov was pretty much neutral on Christians … it’s the Jihadis who are kidnapping and killing them.

The christians in Mid East should also be able to sue their gov for lack of protection and human rights violation. Then so should the women there.

The mismanagement of social security should come out of their checks too.

In the coming months, the BC Supreme Court is expected to decide whether a civil claim against a B.C. company with a mine in Eritrea can be heard in Canada.

Three former Eritrean mine workers claim Nevsun Resources Ltd. (TSX:NSU) was complicit in the Eritrean government’s use of conscripted labour and other human rights abuses at the company’s Bisha mine.

Should the court decide the claim can be heard in Canada, it could have wider implications for Canadian mining companies operating in countries with less than sterling environmental and human rights records.

More than three-quarters of the world’s mining and exploration companies are based in Canada and operate in 100 countries, according to a McCarthy Tétrault report on mining and the courts.

The Nevsun claim is one of three that have been launched against Canadian mining companies since 2014.

The U.S. Supreme Court on Wednesday ruled that almost $2 billion in frozen Iranian assets must be turned over to American families of people killed in the 1983 bombing of a U.S. Marine Corps barracks in Beirut and other attacks blamed on Iran.

The court’s 6-2 ruling dealt a setback to Iran’s central bank, finding that the U.S. Congress did not usurp the authority of American courts by passing a 2012 law stating that the frozen funds should go toward satisfying a $2.65 billion judgment won by the families against Iran in U.S. federal court in 2007.

That would be the horrible nightmare, to endure years of suffering and then be out of the market when it moonshots! Brrrrrrrrr I’d rather go up against Leatherface!

Years back, I read somewhere that before a long Bear Market could reverse the last Bull had to finally give up.

Knowing myself as a True believer in honest money, I have thought of that axiom often.

What scares me more than anything would be after suffering all these years to finally sell out, and then watch the market reverse and never have the confidence to get back in.

We may be there now for many.

I just noticed your post last week about Zika being patented in 1947.  Then, MONDAY, FOR THE FIRST TIME, on the radio (NPR, I believe – yes, I list to NPR sometimes) a report mentioned as part of a story that Zika has been around for 70 years.  Of course, they say nothing about the fact that all of a sudden they are saying this thing, which they had been calling “new” for months, is 70 years old!  I love the MSM.  They are such trustworthy people.  Scumbags
