Does that mean they can impose a Federal Tax on the INternet just like telephone (public utility) with line fees usage fees etc….

Thats why I bought an OOMA phone 3 years ago for 175.00 and have not paid a telephone bill greater than 10.00 per month since ! and that was because I chose to have a second number and satalite phone ! Very happy with OOMA   ….best deal ever !  Prior to that taxes and fees line charges were 26.00 per month and that was  before any charges for long distance  ….Without the second line and phone my bill was ZERO   ..as I was among the first to get it.THere was no monthly bill for original buyers !   If they impose a tax Im back to where I started and OOMA is out of business ..!!! Service was Great     !  THe only problem is ..if internet is down ,so is telephone  …It included 911 service free !

FCC proposal on net neutrality is a big win for open Internet advocates

In a surprising about-face, FCC Chairman Tom Wheeler is seeking to reclassify the Internet as a public utility

February 4, 2015 1:30PM ET

by Joshua Kopstein

Not long ago, net neutrality was little more than a buzzword to most Americans, an arcane concept within an equally arcane sector of telecommunications law. But fierce resistance to a plan proposed last spring by Federal Communications Commission Chairman Tom Wheeler that Internet advocates said would have undermined net neutrality — the principle that all data traversing the Net should be treated equally by Internet service providers (ISPs) — has pushed the once obscure concept into the spotlight in Washington.

And today, as Wheeler prepares to deliver his latest proposal on net neutrality, advocates for an open Internet seem to have won.

The plan Wheeler announced last May would have permitted ISPs such as Verizon, Comcast and Time Warner to give faster, priority access to sites and services able to pay for it as long as those deals were deemed commercially reasonable. But in a surprising about-face, he is now proposing rules that ban that practice by treating wired and wireless broadband Internet as a public utility under Title II of the Telecommunications Act — much like the telephone system.

Christians Can Opt Out of ObamaCare. This Outrages Lefties. Tough.

Posted by ipso facto @ 14:11 on February 4, 2015

My wife is a member of Christian Health Care Ministries. At age 64, she pays $1,000 a year. What are you paying? You are probably younger, yet you pay more.

You are forced to do this by ObamaCare. My wife is exempt from ObamaCare. Maybe you can be, too.

If you are a Christian, you can cut your health insurance costs by half — maybe more. You can stay out of ObamaCare’s clutches. It’s all legal. These programs got onto the “need not comply” list in 2010. It’s the law. It’s a done deal. The Republicans in Congress are not about to put their constituents back into the “skin them for other people’s health care” pot. The horses are out of Obama’s barn.

This has the Left in a tizzy fit. The thought of it! Bible-believing Christians get a free pass. The atheists must pay full scale. But ObamaCare is a wealth redistribution scheme, as voters know now. So, atheists pay for ObamaCare’s welfare clients, too. Christians don’t pay this if they don’t want to.

My wife does not want to.

Yes me too. My village was like Mayberry before the 1960s. My kids were born in ’66 and ’67. We lived five houses away from the schools I went to. ’49-’62. On account of the dreamers, molders, trouble makers etc…

Unfortunately, on account of TPTB, my kids had to be bussed to a school 3 miles NORTH. A lower income minority area neighborhood. One day they tried to steal my sons new sneakers while he was WEARING them.

Look at the problems in the Middle east now. Merging integrating western ways with the others was a big mistake. That’s a whole nother story.

Had an Omnibus account ..I too traded Futures back then ..She had an omnibus account if I recall correctly     that is to say both a long and short position in the Omnibus account (no name account) where the losses were assigned to a corporation account that could deduct losses from operating income (at taxpayer expense) then gains were assigned to Hillbillerys account..

THe daughter was on payroll of a Media company for about 600,000 per year and her assignments were dubious to say the least .

Corruuption at its best !  Refco also a New Orleans company (Aron)I think …bought by Goldman was responsible for Stealing money from (100mil from Jimmy Rogers ) account  prompting him to leave the country to Singapore .

Posted by silverngold @ 12:45 on February 4, 2015

Yes, I’ve lived in several “Mayberry’s” in my youth and loved the laid back atmosphere and the genuine sincerity of the people. I wonder if one still exists anywhere? I doubt it since it’s been many years and many locations since those days and as far as I can determine Mayberry is DOA….but In those days it was…. Silverngold

That’s the bottom line. The WRONG people have been molding and shaping three generations of Americans to be different than what they naturally are.

Movies, TV, Newspapers, Magazines, music etc. The media can create or modify public opinion in about two weeks. Check out some Archie Bunker sit-coms preparing people for the future. Listen to Yoko Ono’s song “Imagine” by John Lenin. TPTB were and are dreamers.

Check out the old Andy Griffith sit-coms that portrayed the original American past.

Communist in Chief

Posted by Ororeef @ 12:00 on February 4, 2015

This is what happins when communidts run things ..Everybody gets to share the POVERTY …..somehow they present this  as a way to equalize everybody and it gets votes !  So much for Democracy ..its no wonder the Founders gave us a Republic instead !

Argentina’s communist gubberment just assinated its chief  antigonist after he hatched a plot to expose their communist governments dealing with IRAN …The jews are fighting the Iranians in Argentina is whats it all about !    Sound familiar ?    Coming to a theater near YOU !

Our 4th Secretary of Defence about to be appointed  ..who will survive him ,or Valerie Jarrett the Presidents chief Commy..

Will he be assinated ? like they did in Argentina ?  He better watch his BACK ?

crazy but awesome
