Machines, a la algorithms ignore everything and take things where they want them to go. I would hate to see how high stocks and how low the metals would go, if the news got worse. Completely mind boggling.

It’s going come down to this eventually.

Allied Nevada seeking rescue as cash drops

Posted by ipso facto @ 10:12 on February 19, 2015

Allied Nevada Gold Corp. is seeking financing to boost liquidity after the miner’s cash declined almost 45 percent in less than a month, according to two people with knowledge of the matter.

The company is asking potential providers of a rescue loan to examine its financial records as its cash balance dwindles to about $9.5 million and it’s used almost all of its revolving credit line, said the people, who asked not to be identified because the information isn’t public. The company projects it will have just over $6 million of cash at the end of the week, down from about $17 million to start February, said one of the people.

Allied Nevada’s liquidity position has worsened as its liability on a U.S.-Canadian dollar currency swap grows and it spends cash to build its Hycroft gold and silver mine in Nevada. The swap was issued in connection with a bond financing and requires the miner to post collateral to some counterparties as the Canadian dollar depreciates against the greenback. The company hired financial adviser Moelis & Co. to help it negotiate with lenders who are owed $543 million.

The gold and silver miner has just $50,000 available to borrow on its $75 million revolver due April 2016, one of the people said. It has drawn $56.5 million on the loan and written almost $18.5 million in letters of credit against it.

De-Dollarization Accelerates: Russia Launches SWIFT-Alternative Linking 91 Entities

Tyler Durden’s pictureSubmitted by Tyler Durden on 02/18/2015 23:55 -0500

Back in 2013, The NSA was first exposed for secretly ‘monitoring’ the SWIFT payments flows. This appears to have been among the last straws for Russia (and others) as far as both NSA spying and dollar domination.

Last year, following threats to remove Russia from SWIFT by the UK, (which SWIFT rapidly distanced its ‘independent-self’ from), Russia (and China) announced plans to create its own de-dollarized version. In November, Russia detailed the SWIFT-alternative’s launch date around May 2015, and just last month, Medvedev warned of “unlimited reaction” if Russia was cut off from the SWIFT payments system.

So the news this week that Russia has launched its own ‘SWIFT’-alternative, linking 91 credit institutions initially, suggests de-dollarization is considerably further along than many expected (especially as Russia dumps US Treasuries at a record pace).

Equise and Macroman

Posted by silverngold @ 9:44 on February 19, 2015

Equise, you hit the nail on the head with my ranch location. Between deeded property, woodlot, and the adjoining range unit there was more than 12,000 acres which ran from Corduroy Creek on the west, Bulkley River on the south, Blunt mountain on the North, and Moricetown Backroad on the east; ideal because these features made natural boundaries that required no, or very little, fencing. I could turn out my cattle in the spring and they would come home on their own in the fall. The Moricetown backroad ended where where it ran into vast beaver dams which inundated the flat land, making it impossible to penetrate with vehicles from the Moricetown end. The entire range unit was crossed and crisscrossed with creeks off of Blunt Mountain. The two primary ones were Luno Creek and Boulder creek, and of course Corduroy Creek which I’ve mentioned. When I bought the original deeded property that the ranch sprang from over the next 20 years, there was only a very small fire access road into it which wiggled through the trees. The first real obstacle was Corduroy Creek which had no bridge, thus named Corduroy Creek since the only way to cross it was on “corduroy”. Corduroy, if people don’t know, is logs laid side by side across the boggy bottom of creeks or wetlands to support the vehicles where we had the crossing, the method used initially when constructing emergency fire access roads.

Macroman, well thanks to Equise we now know why I was stumped by what natural species of spruce we had on the property. LOL!!! Other tree species were Lodgepole Pine, Yellow Cedar, Balsam Fir, White Birch, Poplar, and Cottonwood.

Well I see the markets are open so I’ll quit for today. Sorry I could not reply to your posts last night. Sometimes there are not enough hours in a day. :o)

President Jihad Requires Impeachment
Where are the balls in our Congress?

WASHINGTON –  President Obama defended his administration’s approach to the terror threat at a White House summit Wednesday, standing by claims that groups like the Islamic State do not represent Islam — as well as assertions that job creation could help combat extremism.

Obama, addressing the Washington audience on the second day of the summit, said the international community needs to address “grievances” that terrorists exploit, including economic and political issues.

He stressed that poverty alone doesn’t cause terrorism, but “resentments fester” and extremism grows when millions of people are impoverished.

“We do have to address the grievances that terrorists exploit including economic grievances,” he said.

Oh really?

So let me see if I get this right — someone not having a job compels them to cut off heads?  Why no, I don’t think so, since I’ve yet to see any of these allegedly-hungry people eat the resulting corpse!

There’s no single religion responsible for this violence and terrorism?  Really?  Please list the religions of the people who committed the last, oh, two dozen head-sawing-offs.  I think you’ll find that all of them share one common claimed religion.

For that matter, so will you find that to be true of the 9/11 bombers, the USS Cole bombers, the “fine” folks who committed terrorism all over Europe of late and similar.

Further, if this is all (or even largely) “economic” at its root would you mind explaining how being an officer in the US Military is not a “good job”?  Or have you forgotten Mr. Hasan, otherwise known as Mr. “Allah Akhbar”, that committed Islamic terrorism, killing 13 and wounding 32 while employed by the US Military on a US Military base?

As for the “notion” that Muslims don’t actually support this please show me the widespread, loud denunciation of these acts and the willingness to find and capture or kill the Muslims doing these things among Muslims.

Good luck with that.

President Jihad needs to be impeached, here and now.  This sort of crap is dangerous and is going to get a very large number of Americans killed, on our soil, if it continues.  Refusing to call this what it is and deal with it has already resulted in American deaths on American soil at Ft. Hood and, before that, on 9/11.  There is no excuse of political correctness when you are under armed assault and we in America, along with the rest of the world that does not accede to living under crackpotted Sharia goat****er mandates, is in fact under armed assault.

silverngold, macroman3 @ 1:25 and 9:08 on 17 Feb. Your brief exchange about species

Posted by Equisetum @ 22:42 on February 18, 2015

of spruce made me chuckle because silverngold’s operation near Hazelton was in the “eye of the hurricane” if one looked at a map of active hybridizarion between different species of spruce in British Columbia. The attached image does not reproduce very clearly, but if you drew a triangle enclosing Kitwanga, Hazelton and Moricetown, it would delineate the centre of the “hurricane” of spruce hybridization, involving Sitka spruce towards the coast, white spruce to the east, and Roche spruce to the north of Hazelton.

So the chuckle is because there is virtually no one who can say with much confidence what kind of spruce they are looking at in the area of the black blob in the attached map. Figuring out how to name the hybrid mixes in the spruces of the Nass and Skeena river valleys has had a few people scratching their heads over the years. One fellow I knew, Larry Roche, scratched his head so long and so hard trying to classify these different forms of spruce that someone ended up naming the spruce north of Hazelton after him, Roche spruce. Larry got an extra degree out of the deal.

Macroman, just so you dont feel left out with your Engelmann spruce around where you live, there are reports of Engelmann spruce – Sitka spruce hybrids in the vicinty of the Whistler ski area. Cheers. EquizIMG_3765

Maddog is right, search out the Frankfurt School and Cultural Marxism. The school (which was run by and for Marxists) was moved from Germany to the US in the 30’s when Germany was no longer hospitable to the tribe. Multiculturalism was viewed as an effective way to destroy the shared morality and values of the Western cultures. The Marxists saw that the workers were never going to rise up, as they were supposed to according to Marxist theory, so they worked out another way to overturn the culture. Feminism, gay rights, etc. are all part of the means of destruction. And it’s working quite well I would add.
