Mr.C 12:52, I think she’s right.

Posted by ferrett @ 18:13 on June 30, 2025

China did not have a decades run of real growth. It appeared that way, sure, as every year China achieved its forecast 5% increase in GDP exactly on target. Not 5.05%, not 4.95%, but 5.00%, a magnificent endorsement of centralised government planning. Then in the noughties the truth started to out, initially with 64m empty apartments (based on electricity non-usage) in 2005? 07? followed soon by the ghost cities, dozens of them, which would have been serviced by ghost infrastructure and created by shadow debt. And sold as investment properties, because property never drops in value. And GDP continued to increase.

Concrete has a limited life, nowadays, because it is reinforced with steel bars so that you can use it in a state of tension. The Romans didn’t use steel, they designed their buildings (see the Pantheon for an example) so that all the concrete members were permanently in compression and didn’t have any members in tension (or they would have fallen apart immediately), but steel rusts, and as it rusts it expands and cracks the concrete, and becomes weaker because there is less metal, and less concrete. The quality of the reinforced concrete determines the rust resistance: quality meaning not just the quality of the mix and the steel, but how well it is poured. In a corrupt environment such as Chinese local government, short term obsolescence is built in. Hence the viaduct collapse at the beginning of the clip. Which is good for GDP, of course.

And the Cap’n is right, because you have the same problem in America, only delayed by a few decades because you used better quality materials and methods. The collapse is built into the system. You have all these high rises, dams, bridges, tunnels, airports, roads, sewers, power grids which are deteriorating. Try looking in the carparks of office or residential blocks over forty years old, and see if you can see concrete repairs at the bases of the pillars. They are only plastering over the rusty reo, there is no replacing the lost strength. There are many trillions of infrastructure replacement costs coming down the line at you, and no budget for it.

As Hooky says, the system is bankrupt. And infrastructure is only a part of it. Health care, bankrupt both morally and financially. Manufacturing, shredded and not coming back despite the tariffs – some of the deals being made are simply relocating the offshoring, e.g. China to India or Vietnam. Debt, debt and more debt. Bureaucracy, that great enabler of collapse, is receiving a bit of a setback in selected areas like EPA, Green New Deal, wokeness; but the underlying trend is more and more regulations.

All the failed promises of the CCP are coming home to roost. No prosperity, no permanent rise in house prices, no jobs, compulsory scrapping of perfectly good EV’s so you have to buy a new one, ditto white goods, gotta keep the factories running, keep the hierarchy happy with good figures …. bleak? Yeah, I think so. I’m impressed that they’ve got the mental and emotional energy to protest. Many of the youth are just lying flat, and why not? When you can’t see any hope of the light at the end of the tunnel being turned back on, and your every action is tracked.

Fight back, Cap’n? When, as you say, it’s already gone? Futile, I think, and it only makes yourself a target. Prepare, though, as you say, prepare by organising locally so when supply chains collapse you still have food. Learn skills. Keep a low profile. Educate your kids and grandkids, for all this too will pass and they need to be ready to rise like phoenixes.

Is Carney controlling the borders and representing the people and Canadian culture like minded people were once draw to that would assimilate or is it s globalist they don’t seem to understand anyways or they would already have multi imports and exports, vs allies or trading priority  What Americans might be watching is dollar numbers and circumstances charges and overcharges including all the middle man. Sending anything to Canada is ridiculous. Middle men want their cut. How much is it worth so they can tax you for it.  Like how much is he charging the new buyers compared to America.

That’s great news. Yes exercise and cardio is good for many reasons. It’s also there things you did including now focused on exercise, diet and supplements to keep up your immune system to keep it away now.   You health and diet decisions and frame of mind had a lot to do with it and helping the doctors and treatments to work together.

I looked this up but might not include avoiding too much stress that includes constant doom and gloomers and advice they themselves wouldn’t take and notice most of them are old not young and drain positive energy and getting enough sleep. We have connections to the elders but that was then, they were different some good some bad. I remember elders telling me to be careful with elders because they will drain your energy. I didn’t quite understand because compared to today’s ready made easier life they seemed to have a lot of energy. Learned later it’s more psychological which then can cause physiological hormone changes that can be negative and affect outlooks negatively and depends on the person.

I looked this up not to drag things out in detail.

Prevent cancer through several mechanisms, including maintaining a healthy weight, regulating hormones, and boosting the immune system. Regular physical activity is associated with a reduced risk of developing various cancers, such as breast, colon, endometrial, and esophageal cancers.

Here’s a more detailed breakdown:
  • Weight Management:

Excess weight, particularly obesity, is a known risk factor for many cancers. Exercise helps control weight, reducing the risk associated with obesity.

  • Hormone Regulation:

Exercise can help regulate hormones like estrogen and insulin, which, when elevated, can promote cancer cell growth.

  • Immune System Boost:

Regular physical activity strengthens the immune system, enabling it to better identify and eliminate abnormal cells, including cancer cells.

  • Reduced Inflammation:

Exercise can reduce chronic inflammation, which can damage tissues and increase the risk of cancer development.

  • Improved Digestion:

Exercise can help food pass through the digestive system more quickly, potentially reducing the exposure of the colon to harmful substances.

  • Overall Health Benefits:

Exercise improves cardiovascular health, reduces fatigue, and enhances overall well-being, all of which can indirectly contribute to cancer prevention.

While the exact mechanisms are still being researched, studies consistently show a link between physical activity and reduced cancer risk. For example, the American Cancer Society has found that exercise is linked to lower risk for 13 different types of cancer.

Silver is down a tiny bit today but AGQ and all the Silver miners are up. Maybe its because the general stock indices are higher today

I hope Carney turns out to be the guy you’re looking for. It is certainly a good thing for Canada to find other trading partners and increase exports.

I view him similar to the Captain, as the same as the EU and UK elites. So I guess if you like what you see going on over there then he’s the guy.

Thanks for the well wishes. Have a few more weeks before the chemo leaves my body. I’ve been on a lot of steroids and have put on 20 lbs. and have a bit of a moon face going, so time to get those out of my system as well. Fortunately, I was able to keep the majority of my workouts intact. I think that helped a lot, certainly a lot more than people might know. I believe there’s something about getting your heart pumping and increasing circulation. I have no proof, just a hunch.

As with all major events in our lives, we hope that there is a purpose or reason for why we need to go through certain things, something to learn about ourselves. God had some lessons in this for me, a change in the way I think about certain things, myself, and those close to me. I hope that the lessons will stick, and I don’t disappoint. 🙂

Now, the big question is how will my hair grow back? Will it be curly? Red? I guess some people’s hair comes back different. 🙂

Captain Hook @ 12:23 re She Says Life in China is bleak …

Posted by Mr.Copper @ 12:52 on June 30, 2025

I strongly suspect she is wrong or just lying. China had decades of very good years even more than the USA had from 1945 to 1975. We created 350 million new middle class people there and they built up their military and today is considered the worlds second biggest economy after the USA. So they are going into a transition with a loaf under each arm, like the USA did after 1971.

After the idiots running America started giving our jobs our jobs away after 1970, they made us survive by creating unneeded work like the environmental protection agency jobs and all kinds of dumb ass jobs that created NOTHING of value. like tax supported solar and EV cars. The USA (and gold) are finally getting better since 9/11/01 tipping point.

I remember when all our machine shops started closing up around our 1970 peak prosperity here. People losing jobs started selling used cars or going into gov’t jobs or retail jobs, which were ok until the growing poverty here got bad enough and taxes high enough, to get Trump elected, and he’s helping the transition back to what we were before 1970. Hopefully they didn’t start too late.

But things that have to happen, eventually do happen, like the end of Chinese production and the beginning of US production of things that have value. I was in manufacturing since 1962 and I considered manufacturing like legal counterfeiting. We are not allowed to make $100 bills, but we are allowed to make things that can be exchanged for $100 bills or worth $100.

Life in China is bleak …

Posted by Captain Hook @ 12:23 on June 30, 2025

… communism is being installed in the West … if we don’t do something about it.

The credit scores and carbon credits will make life miserable .

In case you haven’t figured it out yet … the system is bankrupt and what is left is being exploited by central planners before the big collapse.

So, whatever you have in the system is already gone … even if you can’t see it.

So, get as much as you can out and organize locally for continued centralized attacks on your liberty and wealth.

It’s already gone folks.

So, you have nothing to lose by fighting back.

This is what the people in China are reacting to now … this realization … even if it’s late.

Hopefully not too late.

Fight back while you still have power … before it’s too late.

Cheers all

Good to hear your great news.

Carney is certainly a breath of fresh air compared to his predecessor. Not difficult

He has decided to put some of his beliefs aside for the benefit of reshaping Canada.

Canada is a small country of only 40 million people. Compare this to the trillions of dollars of resources.
The future can be very exciting for all. The short term will be very challenging but trade diversification is job one now. We were caught flat footed when Trump illegally reneged on his own free trade deal. This deal the (paraphrasing) “greatest free trade deal ever negotiated by any US president in history”

Wheat and soya exports are already picking up here as customers look for more trusted suppliers.

… not everybody is equal … that’s a lie the gullible and weak swallow.

While Cuba plunges into misery, Manuel Anido Cuesta, the stepson of communist dictator Díaz Canel, lives in luxury in Madrid: yet another case of communist nepotism and cynicism.

Just watch (the move) or read Orwell’s Animal Farm … and you will understand how all this works …

It’s because the pigs are serial liars and crazed (just like our leaders and bureaucrats) – and barnyard animals are barnyard animals.

That Moroccan scam was never going to work…….first off the Sahara is almost as bad as the North Sea, for a hostile environment ..it is constantly shifting and would cover the panels over time…secondly the resistance moving electricity that far, would probably mean you couldn’t boil a kettle, with what came out in the UK.

Israel took a much bigger beating than they allowed to be reported. I think they HAD to agree to the ceasefire, because they couldn’t stop the onslaught and as you say we are running out of ammo for them.

Otherwise, they would continue to bomb, there is just no way in Hades that Netanyahu would take orders from Trump. If he’s hellbent on war, he’s going to pull the trigger anyway. They just bombed southern Lebanon a couple of days ago, but hopefully he’s sane enough not to use nukes.

OTOH, time is getting short, and the Lord will move the chess pieces however he wants.

Canada is in deep trouble. It will be interesting to see how the vote for secession goes in Alberta and Saskatchewan. They hold all the cards for Canadian energy. Carney is the worst of the worst Globalists. They have destroyed the white nations of the west. I haven’t given up on us just yet, but I think we can be expecting a false flag blamed on the Iranians anytime now in an attempt to get WWIII going, especially after the Ayatollah’s “FATWA” order.

You have to like this guy. Broad and up to date intelligence for his fellow man – it’s not looking good for Isreal right now. (will they use nukes?)

The West is running out of missiles, and they will need a lot of silver to make new ones. So the cabal will do everything they can to hold it back. It won’t work anymore with investors scooping up all the available physical silver remaining now.

The silver chart looks great. (Wave IV off the April low complete?) A close above $36 today is a significant buy signal. A close just below $36 is still a buy signal.

It’s win – win for silver right now.

undersea cables was sparked earlier by the ZH article on the Moroccan solar farm for the UK being cancelled. The maps showed the cable going close to the Spanish and French shores rather than straight across the Bay of Biscay. The reason I found was that dangling a cable in three miles of water makes it too heavy. Bearing in mind it has to pay out at an angle you might have four or five miles of cable, many many tons, just hanging off the back of the boat and it would snap. They can lay aluminium cored lines deeper than copper ones for that reason.

Like I thought we probably would this am. We’re up about 2/3% in the early going. The dollar is down a little after the weak bounce Friday, rates down a couple bips. Hard to say if it will continue this way. Looks like the dollar wants to move up in the last hour or so.

Oil and Bitcoin flat. SM roaring ahead. Hard to imagine what that will look like when the Fed finally cuts. Probably a monster rally.

PM shares are steady.

I thought we’d be looking at a big dump last night. Glad we’re not, but there’s always time for that.🤔

That one in Iceland in 73 looked really bad and did swallow up homes but got the cattle out but then sadly no plans to where it could go had to put them down. I don’t know exactly what they did. I wonder if they could blow a path and down from the top of the volcano making a part lower where the overflow can follow down since it doesn’t blow up.

I wondered if custom and Pele had something to do with it. Other than they cannot control her lol If they know there is a path the lava goes guess just don’t build anything there. You know a lot more about them than me and never had a geology or any other kinda class on earth other than going to the beach with a few of them once and was interesting. I also won the bet as it was a northern Calf point Reyes beach with great white warnings no surfing and cold  that it’s not gonna stop the surfers they’ll be there. And they were in their set suits. I saw a part of the land where it was moved and crossed in another direction over another peace of land. The epicenter of the early 1900 San Francisco quake.

I’m so clueless about it I don’t know what happens beneath where it comes from if it will leave a empty space someday or if thats just part of the missing space in my brain or if the core will cool at some point over it.

Past attempts to divert lava flows have been spectacularly unsuccessful.  Army tried bombing a flow of Mauna Loa approaching Hilo, with no effect.   There’s just too much, too viscous, too hot.  Damming it up with rock pile walls is only a small diversion.  Lava flows around the wall and engulfs it anyway.  At this point the government will not allow any attempts to divert lava flows because they have been proven pointless.

Understand that the entire southern half of the Big Island is composed of lava rock from Mauna Loa.  So yes, there are quarries that bust up the rock for gravel road building.  Large boulders used for seawalls, etc.  The entire terrain here is like broken or poured concrete!

The northern half of the island around Mauna Kea is much older decomposed lava that forms good red soil for farmlands.  Where you do find rocky materials from Mauna Kea, they are soft and crumbly, eons old and decomposed.

As for energy, yes!  There are geothermal wells in the east rift zone just five miles from my home where the wells have tapped into old lava pockets that are still molten hot.  They tap the high pressure hydrogen sulfide gas bubble and circulate the heat to turbines before re-injecting it back into the well.  20-25% of the electricity for this island is generated at the geothermal plant.

Hawaiian Electric once had dreams of exporting our geothermal to the neighbor islands, but inventing high voltage cables that would withstand the deep ocean pressure between here and Maui is a problem that has not been solved yet.
