He knew I worked long hours and when I told him that pine is hard to cut with a Ax especially when your already tired he cut them in smaller pieces.

Back to camping a friend asked me what I was going to do with those berries I told him I’m going to grow them. He told me certain kinds of manzanita’s are protected like a endangered species. So there went that idea. But certain kinds that aren’t might be a good thing to grow and can handle cold weather.

I almost always get the wood for free. The state gov here issues permits for woodcutting at logging sites in the state forests where they pile all the “trash wood” in piles after their operations. Then you can get a permit to cut. Sometimes I get wood off of Craigslist, people clearing land, storm damage etc.

I’d love to have someone just drop it off at my house! But that’s a rarity.

We’ve finally re-breached the $38 mark with silver up $.55 at the moment. Gold took a run up toward $3400 at some point overnight but has dropped $15 since then and is only up $13. Gold doesn’t want to break the range trading yet.

Hecla beat – earnings of $.09 vs. $.06 expected, Revenues beat as well. Stock up 10% premarket, but I bet it goes higher from here after seeing what SSRM did yesterday.

Time for the silver shares to pick up the pace.

Thanks for that article, that was really interesting. Apparently it might be safer to fly right now than at other times. It just shows how tentative our life is hanging in the balance of the cosmos.

Its not surprising about the higher rates of cancer from frequent flying in aircraft although maybe they can find a way to do something about that but wasn’t aware of : A number of controversial studies (#1, #2, #3, #4) go even further, linking cosmic rays with cardiac arrhythmias and sudden cardiac death.

As far as the zero reading my friend told me some can go all the way to the top other can just go back to zero once the tube filled up just like that video I found I posted to you. Nevertheless it only tracks low level radiation. Putting it outside say for a few minutes if there was a nuclear event isn’t going to give you a true reading like the dosimeter or survey meter if you plan to leave for any amount if time. They’re selling a Geiger  counter as a must have for a nuclear event when it reality it sounds the alarm at low level and other that higher readings telling you somethings changed  it’s rather useless for just how much less people plan on staying inside for a long time like the Klaus or Gates but even then how do you know how much radiation your getting on the inside either?   It  never occured to me until I started looking into it.

I have never tried a geiger counter in an airplane.  I don’t need to.  It is a known fact that pilots, flight crews, and passengers are subject to elevated cosmic rays (gamma and Xrays) at higher altitudes, because there is less atmosphere shielding them from what comes in from space.   You can see the results of these measurement made by balloon here:

Have you ever tried your Geiger counter in a airplane. See if it starts the ticking? See how much radiation it emits and if it goes to the top of zero. I wonder how the passengers would react.

When you get older do what I did. Not because I was older but not a tree cutter back then when I met a professional tree cutter. If he didn’t have a sale or want to bother when hauling away the wood, instead of paying to dump it he could drop it off at my house for free. He even cut it for me. Actually when they get busy they need more then one place to unload it. The weight of all that wood almost caused my fence to fall.

Oh boy I can feel for her. I hope she’s seeing a specialist maybe a allergist. Asthma for instance although can run in family’s has a allergy component that once you have it are called triggers. It can start in infancy. The reason to try to conserve it is that baby’s digestive system isn’t the same as adults. Baby’s I swallow the food in the colon instead of break it down. It can get stuck and the immune system sees it as a foreign substance and reacts. It’s best you don’t feed baby’s whole food just milk till 6 or 7 months for that reason.it gets more complicated but if  hydroxy can help calm those triggers some times can show up on blood tests for allergy and or parasites focusing on allergies it might be helpful. Also airborne triggers. Avoiding anything that collected dust including furniture not feather pillows even couches and other triggers. Maybe air filters can help. . So no homeopaths helped?!
