The dollar flattened and rates dropped a couple bips, that was enough to send gold up $40 at present and silver $.15 – nothing crazy, but the shares are firm so that could be quite telling.
Everything else pretty flat, SM, Bitcoin, Oil.
We have PMI’s today, if they want an excuse.

Plat was always a premium to Gold until a few years back….will it happen again….this chart show it is about to do some serious catching up…or could do.
We have a very good Inverted H&S base, the right shoulder so far has done a perfect 0.382 % restracement of the wave 1 up, which has 5 waves, Wave 2 down so far did the 0.382 , in a clear 3 waves….if wave 2 has ended, then an equal swing up targets the ratio to 0.54…which in turn will trigger the Inverted H&S, which targets 0.6169 for the ratio…..
So if Gold stays here then the bull flag move would take Plat t0 2044.00…The I H&S target would be 2334.00….which funnily enough for those who like numbers…is exactly 1.62 times todays price of Plat !!!!!….but with Gold not looking liken staying anywhere near here, Plat targets are way up as well.
looks like the Algo’s are in the last chance saloon on the long Au short Ag ratio……they have to turn it here, or Captain Hooks H&S will trigger a move to @67…currently @ 85.5…..but that will trigger the massive bear flag /H&S on the Monthly chart
Hereb we see the monster bear flag….a move into the 60’s breaks that and an equal move targets @ 41….which in turn will trigger H&S and that targets parity …ie ratio at 0.00
I don’t watch the homebuilders but can imagine they’re saying recession. Unfortunately, the economy and housing are built for 0% interest rates.
I’m not sure how we get there, unless the Fed presses the gas pedal and starts buying treasuries.
I’d say Bitcoin is overdue for a correction.

Trump made an off the cuff remark about paying off the debt with Bitcoin yesterday. Maybe it’s time to dump Bitcoin and buy pm’s?

Many on Wall Street probably did not show up today , ‘making the bridge’ between the weekend and the Head of the New Year . That could answer the sizable PM gains of Friday , today , and likely tomorrow . Maybe even the rest of the week and until Yom Kippur , mid-next week . We will know soon enough .
