I think the Twatter fake issue, is way bigger than anyone is admitting…there was always loads of chatter in the undergrowth about Click Farms in wierd places, that few dared to visit ….I reckon this will bring down the FAANG stox big time, as they are all at it..

Just saw your post. So, it sounds like the LME closing is a nothing burger. LBMA will still be providing cover for the crimex?

Anyhoo, no clue now how far we fall. Maybe $1780 may hold for a bit, but the carnage is ugly in this little sector and now littered with some shares – mostly small caps that are making new 52 week lows. How is that even possible with gold above $1800?

BTW – Target is getting crushed after a poor earnings report. Down 25% or so. Walmart had an earnings miss as well. Costco bucked the trend and rallied. I’ve never really seen a 25% drop in any of the S & P 500 companies. Might just be the beginning.

The diff used to be LME traded base metals and Silver in 10,000 oz contract, then they gave up Silver, but started Gold and Silver mny year later…but they never took off….because the LBMA ( London Bullion Mkt assoc) trades all u ever need plus Crimex offer a 24 hr punter mkt.

There is also a big diff in delivery terms…..but ultimately the first mkt to offer the facility has kept it…like most other dupe mkts….they rarely if ever succeed.

about the juniors, they’ve certainly been beaten senseless during this down trend.

A little too calm the last couple of days, we’re either going to go up or down here pretty soon.

Excellon eyes new assets in Mexico ahead of Platosa closure

Precious metals miners Excellon Resources (TSX, NYSE: EXN)( FRA: E4X2) is looking for new assets in Mexico ahead of the planned closure of its Platosa mine, one of the country’s highest grade silver mines.

The Canadian company said in January it planned to wind down operations at Platosa, in operations since mid-2005, in the third quarter of the year due to a series of challenges that have affected the mine.

These include the effect the polar vortex in February last year, entering a steeper area of the deposit, dewatering issues, increased consumables prices and legislative changes, Excellon said at the time.

Unionized workers walked off the job in March after collective bargaining talks broke down, deepening the mine’s challenges.

Relations between the company and the mine, its union and locals have soured at times, with Excellon having to declare force majeure in 2012 due to a sustained illegal blockade. The impact of the strike triggered the exit of the company’s financial officer.
