Trump said “no new wars” repeatedly. It was a campaign promise. Period.
He then proceeds to do exactly the opposite of what he said he would at the behest of a foreign leader, and against the advice of the people that got him elected (Kirk, Carlson, and others) and screws the US economy royally in the process. People vote with their wallets; they elected him to fix Biden’s broken economy and inflation. Trump made it worse. People who voted for democrats weren’t worried about a war with Russia, they were pissed that they’re paying more for everything. They remembered Trump’s last term when gas prices were under $2, and he didn’t start a war. They thought that’s what they were going to get. Instead, they got a guy who has tripled his wealth and the wealth of his family in two years and finished destroying what was left of the middle class.
One thing though, I don’t know about turnout, but I suspect that many of the people that voted for Trump just didn’t vote this time. They didn’t run out and vote FOR democrats, they didn’t vote at all. There are more democrats in the country than republicans, they all showed up and they all have TDS.
None of this is hard to understand. If the economy was cranking and gas was back to $2 the GOP would have won seats easily.
This is 1000% his fault, and his fault alone.
