…is doing what it has been doing for years. Inflating, spewing some lava into the caldera basin to deflate, wait. and repeat. It’s a shield volcano. That’s what they do. Trying to link it’s behavior to other catastrophism is futile. Mauna Loa volcano does this also. Periodically erupts and flows some lava down it’s flanks as it has for eons, until it is now the largest mountain mass on the planet and continues to grow. We have daily small earthquake as the mountain is so massive it is settling into a dent in the crust from it’s sheer weight. I live 30 miles from Kilauea summit and have visited the eruptions when ever I could for the past 45 years. I also have a home and live on the lava flow of 1840. No big deal.
