Russia is set to halt the transit of Kazakhstan’s oil supplies to Germany through the Druzhba Pipeline.
Even though Germany stopped buying Russian oil, they still need Russian pipelines to obtain oil from Kazakhstan.
On May 1 (next week) the oil stops. The refinery receiving that oil supplies 90% of the petrol, kerosene and heating fuel for Berlin, its airport and the surrounding region.
The only alternative route is thru Poland, and Poland is using that capacity for it’s own refineries.
With the Persian Gulf blockaded, Germany and other parts of Europe are facing an energy crisis. Russia is putting the squeeze on Europe while supplies are tight.
