  1. Nice to see another “takeover” in the junior sector!

In the press release announcing the deal, it is stated that “the exchange ratio implies consideration of US $2.83 per Vista Gold common share…….and represents a premium of 29% based on the 20 day volume weighted average ….”

In the pre market,  Vista Gold is only trading at $2.60…….

Good to know it’s only good to buy crypto since I have no interest in buying any. I did once when Bitcoin was a few dollars then later as a alternative but too volatile to park there. . Probably be a good idea to keep it in your own custody. A sort of make believe gold bug scenario lol Hold it in your own custody but on a computer. I just hope these AIs don’t decide to start their own crypto search and go hacking into the wallets via some government. Seems to me there are some politicians here and around the world are looking for a excuse to be in control of AI.

Seems Armstrong has nailed it.

Not to worry though, the SM is great, Bitcoin is up 5%, oil is down to $93 and rates are down 4 bips.

Everything is peachy.

I found this on Martin Armstrong’s website posted on September 20:

Merz admitted that the election in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern was a “disaster” for the CDU. Brussels has destroy the Germany economy between climate change and immigration and now to retain power, they need war and blame everything on Putin while turning a blind-eye to the fact Zelensky blew up the pipeline and destroyed the Germany economy just to try to hurt Russia. Nevertheless, Germany and the EU is now on a course of suicide to engage in war with Russia under the misguided delusion of Ukraine – the most corrupt country in the world.

Yeah, doesn’t make sense to me. The populations don’t support anything they’re doing, yet they continue to push forward. Honestly, it feels like the leaders in the west know something is coming and they don’t have a care in the world. Same with the markets.

I am with you on baiting the Bear…never seen such madness and what is worse, it has only ever ended up one way.

I see Merz got smacked around again over the weekend, his CDU even dipped below the 5 % level in one state, which means they get no seats in that State Parliament……Globalists are running out of time and votes……so as you say becoming much more dangerous.

Tether Is Trading and Storing Silver in Las Vegas

Posted by Maddog @ 7:45 on September 21, 2026

https://www.zerohedge.com/news/2026-09-19/tether-major-gold-bank-now-owns-silver

As smart as Tether may think they are , in terms of serious Bugs they have just shot their business in both feet……by leasing out the Gold they are now exposed to borrower risk…as in where the Bank of Portugal leased out some of their gold to Drexel Burnham and then Drexel Burnham went tits up…Senior management then refused to pay out due bonus’ to staff…so the boys and girls in Drexel Burnham Bullion ‘reputedly’sold that Gold and paid the bonus’ !!!!!…or so rumour has it…..they sure didn’t look as sad as the Bank of Portugal did, afterwards.

No matter how real that story is, the Gold ‘dissapeared’ never to be seen again and now anyone buying a Tether coin has that risk.

That’s not how Tether works.

Posted by ferrett @ 5:57 on September 21, 2026

Tether is used as an intermediate in crypto transactions. You buy some Tether, use them in the transaction, and then sell them back. The money you buy them with is invested in US treasuries (about 75%), gold, GROY, cash etc., so they are fully backed by the USD in various forms. It used to be exclusively cash and UST. The genius is that you take money at no cost, and invest it in UST with a United States of America Government Guarantee of repayment, WITH INTEREST!!! The interest funds the eye-watering dividends to the half a dozen owners. $190bn of customer funded investments produces a lot of interest income, or, if you buy gold before the recent rise, capital appreciation. GROY? Just taking a position in a gold royalty company. First time I’ve seen on this forum someone concerned that the share price is rising because a company is buying their shares ….. gold company management can’t do anything right. Memo to gold companies: Never, Ever, let anyone buy a 15% share in your company. Gold bugs won’t appreciate it.

Tether is just another form, digital created form without a government backing but private and could appear and disappear attached to equal dollar per tether and alternative place to park your money perhaps to slowly get people used to digital. It might be alright now to hold in the US because you can still redeem in dollars but apparently have been delisted in Europe apparently due to its business lack of transparency.

Yes tax funded and as in Europe as well. I can understand transparency but as far as government,  taxation and what they do with our money look who’s calling for transparency. This scrutiny may continue with tether in other countries too including ours. . I personally don’t like the idea of make believe money buying up treasuries.

PM’s drifting lower in the overnights

Posted by Buygold @ 3:06 on September 21, 2026

No idea why. Oil is down $2, don’t know why that either. Rates are down near 4 bips. Dollar is up slightly, as is Bitcoin.

And of course, the SM futures are up nicely.

There’s supposed chaos everywhere, and yet markets act as though everything is fine.

If there wasn’t really all these wars and oil and diesel issues, would we even know it? I wouldn’t, I just know what they report from day to day.

I think we’ve entered the twilight zone.

goldie, well, maybe.

The US taxpayer is paying lots of money to Japan, China, Belgium, Hong Kong, Canada, India, Saudi etc. etc. Tether is the 19th largest holder of US treasuries, they are no different to any other holder. Well, except that they are a privately held company.

Money coming in from US Gov should be changed to US taxpayer.

overton, that happens on all stocks.

Posted by ferrett @ 23:17 on September 20, 2026

Even my piddly Brazilian rare earths company. Tether don’t have to do anything to make money. The owners just sit there, and it rolls in courtesy of the US Govt. I can’t see them contemplating manipulating such a tiny part of their $190bn portfolio.

meanwhile Newscums war on fuel companies had not turned into a crisis.

Diesel supply issues not only brought prices up but they’re running out at gas stations.

I wonder when people are going to realize that most food supply trucks run on diesel. If I told people maybe stock up on supplies just incase it could get around fast and might cause a panic. They keep bringing up peace talks but we see where that goes.

to screw with any PM stock they want to. For months now there have been many single digit shares sells on this GROY.
and it could be Tether. I don’t think I ever sold one share of anything

It seems to me they are weaponizing lawfare in Europe against the people because theyre law abiding and based on a civilized society run by civilized people. But this is no longer the case nor the original laws or fair. It’s governments infiltrated and gone rogue while enabling more rogue and criminal players like Zelenski. Their duty to the former system is over, it’s no longer there. It’s been taken over by demented and rogue criminals that they no longer need to ” obey ” unless at their own detriment and take their country’s back They basically have nothing to lose at this point. . The more they let them get away with, the worse theyll get. But if all they care about is their welfare system then they might as well plan their countries and their own funeral.

overton, trouble is, decades old PM holders aren’t that smart.

Posted by ferrett @ 21:26 on September 20, 2026

Otherwise they would have started a Tether themselves. Which would have meant that they would have participated in the dividends Tether pays to its shareholders, which totalled $10.855bn in the year to December 2025.

As the share capital is probably only $100, that’s a pretty damn good return on investment.

Agree. I also have no doubt Zelenskyy will attempt a false flag, or someone will. It’s hard for me to imagine Russia fighting a conventional war with Europe. It would seem that like us, they are getting tired and tapped. I don’t know what Europe is thinking. Maybe they think they can survive a limited strike nuclear war. I don’t know.

Deer79 that Tether ownership of GROY got fatter, 14.37%

Posted by overton @ 19:48 on September 20, 2026

I sent GROY management a note that many decades old PM traders are getting scared of this Tether and not interested in stable coin. I told them to pay a dividend . I’ll see if they answer.

Thank God for submarines!

Did you see where the US has admitted to putting weapons in space? Somehow I was thinking space was off limits …
