As smart as Tether may think they are , in terms of serious Bugs they have just shot their business in both feet……by leasing out the Gold they are now exposed to borrower risk…as in where the Bank of Portugal leased out some of their gold to Drexel Burnham and then Drexel Burnham went tits up…Senior management then refused to pay out due bonus’ to staff…so the boys and girls in Drexel Burnham Bullion ‘reputedly’sold that Gold and paid the bonus’ !!!!!…or so rumour has it…..they sure didn’t look as sad as the Bank of Portugal did, afterwards.
No matter how real that story is, the Gold ‘dissapeared’ never to be seen again and now anyone buying a Tether coin has that risk.
