It is of my belief that despite the possibility that before starting the war, the us and israel might have had a different intent, the us and israel now intentionally do want to have hormuz blockaded, at least partially, for the same reason the us deep down wants to have the ukraine war still going.
The real reason being that this enables the us to establish total control over world energy. As a byproduct of these 2 wars, us energy has effectively emerged as the most reliable in the world, as no one is gonna dare to attack us oil infraestructure. By having russian oil infraestructure actively damaged, imposing sanctions on its oil sales, raiding venezuela, blockading iran and having iran blockade hormuz and the houthis blockade the red sea in retaliation, the us has eliminated most if not all potential competition for fossil fuel energy sales from countries not geopolitically aligned with the us.
The us has managed to get europe addicted to its expensive gas and crude instead of russian oil and gas products, and has managed to get all of that energy bought in dollars, therefore allowing them to offload part of their debt through those means. There’s as well a future plan to sell lng through more direct means as there’s an enormous gas field west of gaza that israel now controls, to completely cut reliance on the old nord stream pipeline by building a new one that would go right to europe. All of those sales will be done in dollars, not rubles or euros. Having europe completely reliant on us energy effectively would allow the us to make the eu even more of a vassal than what they currently are, as they could easily use the supply of oil and lng they give to them as a weapon to blackmail them by threatening with raising prices or restricting sales if they don’t agree with the usa’s future imperial ambitions like their take over of greenland for example or like trump’s tariffs and trade war against the world.
Another point to add to this entire puzzle is that before his death, right winged pro nato warmongerer us senator lindsey graham said all of the usa’s plan deep down was to energetically isolate china by cutting away all of their oil sellers (venezuela, iran, russia) as a way to attack china unconventionally by attempting to make them reliant on us oil sales that would have to be in dollars as a way to compensate for the massive trade deficit the us has with china. All direct means the us has used to attack china have previously all failed (sanctions, tariffs), therefore leading the us to be far more unconventional with its approach.
The us would rather live in a world that’s worse for all, including the us itself, as long as they still get to be number 1 in this worse world.
