The consequences are going to be brutal – and fatal for some.
Energy – whether derived from fossil fuels, nuclear or renewables – is a commodity and the critical thing about commodities is: “You can’t print commodities like you can print money. The rules are not the same,” says my good friend and head of commodities at Shard, Ashley Boolell.

Thanks for the update. Doesn’t that one flow lava all the time or is this different? Does it seem like your having more eruptions. Do you think they can dig roads or paths for it to follow so it doesn’t just wander into neighborhoods?
I was watching a video of a older man with a lot of experience going out to collect lava samples and the soles of his shoes came off lol. He need some kinda special multi sole shoes and a spare. He can tell when it’s slowing down and will soon stop with the samples but even if it stops it can start up again.

Historically, Madame Pele the Volcano Goddess prefers Gin rather than Scotch. But not to worry. The lava lake at the bottom of Halemaumau crater at the summit has gone on slow boil again. That hole is still over a thousand feet deep, and you cannot see the bottom from the nearest safe overlook. No danger to anyone. USGS sent some drones over the crater to get video that we saw on the local news last night.
