Looks to me like we have a little resistance here at 320-325 but if we can bust through that we should get to 360 without much of a problem.

Bear in mind, I’m not a great T/A guy and the scum loves to sell any potential breakouts.

Scum cheating us here at the open

USD down, 10 yr. rates down – we should be catching a bid.

Shares look wishy-washy so far.

Two stores here locally, one a super Walmart and another a grocery store have closed only one door to get in and out and Walmart just two doors one side of the very long building. With that especially the super walmart it causes crowding on one side of a already crowded parking lot and long walks for others.
The reason is shoplifting.
I was surprised to find no tellers at Walmart now just do it yourself check outs. How is that going to help the shoplifting problem?
The grocery store has security next to the only door.
This could be a fire hazard waiting to happen but I guess their only option other than closing the stores.
Increasing homeless and people from low income areas have increased the shoplifting to the point they had to take these measures.

US waives sanctions on Nord Stream 2, builder of Russia-Germany pipeline

Posted by ipso facto @ 9:12 on May 20, 2021

US President Joe Biden’s administration on Wednesday waived sanctions against Nord Stream 2, the Russian-controlled builder of a Russia-Germany gas pipeline, which Washington has called a geopolitical security risk.

Secretary of State Antony Blinken said in a letter to Congress that waiving the original sanctions mandated by Congress for Swiss-based Nord Stream 2 AG, and its chief executive Matthias Warnig, “is in the national interests of the United States.”

The move defused rising tensions between Washington and Berlin over the project, which Germany and other European countries see as crucial to securing long-term energy supplies to the region.

Walgreens Closes 17 San Francisco Stores Due To “Out Of Control” Shoplifting

The effects of allowing chaos to prevail in Democrat-controlled cities across America might not be evident to liberals and social justice warriors now, but when businesses close up, it’s going to be very transparent then.

According to the San Francisco Chronicle, 17 Walgreens Pharmacy locations have shuttered their doors in San Francisco during the past five years. At least ten of the stores in the city have closed since 2019.

Like many other retailers, Walgreens is blaming Proposition 47, which lowered penalties for thefts under $950 and sparked dramatic increases in shoplifting across the metro area over the last several years. Prop. 47 is supported by criminal justice reformers and the liberal establishment, who have also managed to defund the local police.

Combining the two has allowed professional shoplifters, homeless, and drug addicts to easily work the system and steal items under the monetary threshold from store to store with limited penalties.

Walgreens San Francisco Supervisor Ahsha Safaí told the Chronicle that the situation is “out of control,” adding:

“People are scared to go into these stores — seniors, people with disabilities, children. It’s just happening brazenly.”

The ridiculous move up in the USD and rates is allowed to be done and maybe we can get back to the business of going higher in pm’s.

Hopefully the move down yesterday was just a blip.

A clip from Martin Armstrong-Gates gave $40 mill to Englands chief medical officer

Epstein may have personally liked young girls, but the fact that his little black book was filled with famous people including politicians raises in my mind something far more calculated than simply preferring girls under 18. Even Edmond Safra, former head of Republic National Bank and partner in Hermitage Capital Management with Bill Browder and deeply tied into the “club” with even Maxwell’s daughter smell far more than just sex – it was a power play.

Perhaps with time more and more will come out about Gates but my bet is he was with Epstein to put people in a compromising position as a blackmail play to force his agenda upon the entire world. Gates was a womanizer, true. However, Gates has always been a cunning individual and his ideas of changing the world do not come second to his sex life. I believe what will eventually emerge was that his involvement with Epstein was not for sex – but for power.

Since this week is a Directional Change and Friday was a bounce, we may still look back at May 8th as important with hindsight. The closing high was Friday the 7th.

OTOH, it was a Fed day with their B.S. minutes

Considering the move up in the USD and rates I suppose it could be a lot worse.

Posted by Maddog @ 14:18 on May 19, 2021

or is this just real SM weakness, highly likely at such absurd valuations….so the scum have to land all over the PM’s as soon as the SM cracks…as the last thing they need is what happened earlier today….Gold flying, while the rest of their mad bubble world craters….

Friedland says Congo now more attractive than Chile for copper mines

Chile’s worst civil unrest in decades means the Democratic Republic of Congo is a more attractive proposition for mining investment, according to billionaire Robert Friedland.

While Chile, the world’s top copper producer, seeks measures to quell the social unrest that exploded last month, the election of President Felix Tshisekedi earlier this year has improved the prospects in Congo, Friedland said at the Mines and Money conference in London on Monday. Ivanhoe Mines Ltd., founded by Friedland, is developing the world’s second-largest copper-mining project in Congo, with production due to start in 2021.

“There is a new sheriff in town,” said Friedland, referring to Tshisekedi. Chile is now a “terrible place to invest in mining, while Congo is a really great place,” he said
