We witnessed a victory for freedom and religious rights in Alberta this past Saturday when Pastor Art Pawlowski held a raucous service outside Street Church Ministries in Calgary.
Many feared that Pastor Art would be arrested that day, but fortunately, that did not come to pass.
However, this victory was short-lived. This week, Alberta Health Services sent out a work order to Pastor Art stipulating a standard that must be met by May 7 to prevent further action against his church.
The order demands that Pastor Art’s church comply with indoor mask and social distancing mandates, reduced building capacity limits, and submit a COVID mitigation plan.
This order mirrors the one given to Pastor James Coates of GraceLife Church earlier this year before he was jailed for refusing to comply.

UPDATE: Pastor Pawlowski gets health order similar to GraceLife
Church before it was shut
Besides Communist China and North Korea, I can’t think of any other country that bars people from buildings and throws them in jail simply for worshiping.
We’re keeping a close eye on the situation and plan to be there this Saturday when Pastor Art intends to proceed with another service.
Pastor Art is in a fight for his life to defend religious freedom in Canada. And despite the enormous financial commitment of this fight, Rebel News will be there every step of the way as this case weaves its way through the courts.
