When large landowners in the Great Plains build a new house, they drag an old mobile home to th3 east of the new house. That mobile home will draw th3 tornado away from the new house!

I lived in Redmond and worked in downtown Seattle for a year+ in the early 1970’s. It was such a nice clean safe and beautiful place to live and work, but I was then sent by my employer  to Anchorage Alaska.

Being called to supper….

If would be a easy way to eliminate a bunch of them. Just wait till enough of them break in and exercise your second amendment rights.

Did you see this one? At some point the citizens of the cities are going to be fed up!

Seattle Police Abandon Residents As Antifa Uses Twitter, Facebook To Organize Nationwide Protests

The Seattle Police Department announced on Friday that residents and business owners are essentially on their own, after the City Council banned the use of pepper spray and other ‘less lethal tools’ to disperse crowds.

“Simply put, the legislation gives officers NO ability to safely intercede to preserve property in the midst of a large, violent crowd,” reads a letter from Seattle Chief of Police, Carmen Best – who added that thanks to the City Council, “Seattle Police will have an adjusted deployment in response to any demonstrations this weekend.”

“Once completely freed, the bankers very quickly ran their institutions off the cliff, taking much of the global economy with them. Not only did they create and sell a huge amount of junk, but they turned the financial system into a gigantic casino, one in which they played mainly with other people’s money.

Both parties make a public show of how bitter their conflicts are, and how dangerous it would be for the other party to achieve power, while both prostitute themselves to the financial sector, powerful industries, and the wealthy.”

Alex – The ‘Climate Change’ scam

Posted by Maya @ 18:53 on July 25, 2020

That ought to be a big clue that alleged ‘climate change’ is a made-up excuse for a global tax on everything.

CO2 is a disposable resource.  Plant more trees…. they eat CO2 and liberate oxygen.   Probably the real reason for increased CO2 levels is that we have (and continue) to cut too many trees & forests.

According to James McCanney (jmccsci.com)  it is really the electrical field input from the sun that supplies the energy to stir up the atmosphere into hurricanes.  In August timeframe right about now, we enter the ‘return current sheet’ of the solar system… the electrical ‘rip tide’ coming back into the sun to complete the circuit of the solar wind.  That’s why August-Sept are peak hurricane months.

Just sayin’

Posted by Alex Valdor @ 17:57 on July 25, 2020

With the shutdown , cars , trucks , trains and planes are using significantly less fossil fuels , so CO2 emissions are drastically reduced , globally .
So why are we in Florida and the SE of the USA already up to H and G named tropical disturbances so early in the season , and now Hawaii is in the path of Douglas , the fourth Pacific event ?

The meteorology of Hawaiian hurricanes is nearly identical to what happens in the Atlantic ocean, where equatorial air from Africa slides west across the Atlantic and spins up hurricanes that take aim at the Caribbean islands to the west.

Technical observations of

Gold Summary of Various Technical Studies

Trade what you know, not what you wish.
The trend in gold is undeniably up with the most recent support at $1760.

Gold typically bottoms before crude oil (March 19th versus April 20th). They rebound together, however for the next three months gold has difficulty breaking out beyond 1.6% above previous highs. Once it closes through that resistance (currently $1817 basis nearest futures) we can look forward to further upside action.

It is unusual for gold to breakout high during July, However, rallies in gold that start early and make new 52-week highs in July (seven times in forty years) top out around 34 trading days from the preceding low. The targeted window is July 16th to 28th with an optimum of the 24th.

The normal seasonal pattern is bullish from late in July through September

The 2.618% Fibonacci measurement out of the six-year base under $1370 measures to $1888. The larger pattern from the $1923 high to the $1045 low measures to $2466 and $3344.

While crude oils rally from the April low is impressive it remains near fifteen- year lows. The low cost of energy assists the profitability for gold mining stocks.

The low yield in Treasury and corporate bonds continues to provide an incentive for investors to look for alternative investments, such as bullion.

The outperformance of gold verses the broad equity markets began in October 2018 and appears to have room to run.

Interesting. So there really is a sort of track which directs hurricanes towards Hawaii. At least like you say the mountains give you some protection.

Stay safe and stay dry Amigo!

Hurricane Watch now posted for Honolulu & Oahu island

Posted by Maya @ 3:32 on July 25, 2020

The close pass to Hawaii Island and over Maui are sure to disrupt the storm circulation.  Then it collapses into a chaotic mess and dumps a lot of rain.  Maui and Honolulu are sure to see epic flooding, I think.  Unlike my volcano, their lowlands are not equipped to handle the runoff so quickly.

ipso facto @ 23:53 – Hawaii Hurricane track

Posted by Maya @ 2:38 on July 25, 2020

“Is it on some kind of track?”

ABSOLUTELY!  Like the midwest up the Mississippi valley is a ‘Tornado Alley”, Hawaii is literally like the bowling pins at the end of ‘Hurricane Alley’ of the Eastern Pacific.  We are located just south of the tropics line, but just north of the “ITCZ”… that weather zone called the “Inter-Tropical Convergence Zone” where all the thunderstorms boil away.  So these air masses slide west off of Mexico and start spinning up in the ITCZ, flinging west and arcing slightly to the north edge of the ITCZ aiming for… Hawaii.

Fortunately it is a very big ocean, and most of them miss us or die out first.  But we always gotta watch.  Over the years here I have learned (and this is an old Hawaiian legend that Hawaii Island is ‘protected’ from hurricanes) that incoming storms will turn aside on approach.  Twice I have seen direct-hit incoming storms ‘bounce’ back and turn either north or south of the Big Island.  We are a huge, massive atmospheric wall of two 14,000 ft mountains that simply will not allow a hurricane to pass over.  Those that pass too close have their circulating moisture bands torn apart by the mountains.   I expect this to happen to DOUGLAS on Sunday.   We are used to getting a lot of water on the windward Big Island.  Some of the most spectacular waterfalls anywhere…. sometimes falling right out of the sky!!

That’s possible. Kind of like a giant Mobile Home Magnet. Because the universe has it in for the parks … and hawaii.

there’s so much beauty there that Nature has to shake it up from time to time?

ipso, 23:53

it has been suggested that the reason alabama gets so many tornadoes is because they have a high concentration of mobile homes which attracts them.  possibly there is something like that in play with hawaii.
