I’ll pass it on to her. I just messaged her I mentioned her. She mentioned you was concerned and said last week about shipping and you should of stayed here. Then they’re Seattle so maybe the best of two choices. Then low and behold you mentioned shipping problems today so had to mention it even though I know your pretty darn self sufficient.
Maybe tell the young to invest in long fishing poles.
I ran into one wire there about 20 years ago walking the beach at night taking a scenic view back and some guy comes running up I’m thinking what the heck is he all worried about. Then all of a sudden just when he gets there I see a wire “fish line” right in front of me. He was trying to stop me from walking into it thinking I’d get injured. Then he yells I caught one and it’s a beauty too. lol I said funny very funny. So you can do fishing on the shore or paddle boast or let the young do our for income. Hope they figure out something for them to earn income. Hopefully or at least a barter system.

Give my best to Moggy!  I agree things will get worse.  She probably has some astro projections for Sept.   I’m well prepped, and ‘topping off’ some things.  Neighbors have chickens.  I have fruit trees and veggies.  Storing long-term proteins.   Yes, we are coping with supply chain abnormalities here in Hawaii.

Young brothers is our interisland barge lifeline between Honolulu and the neighbor islands.  With the collapse of tourism, interisland barge shipments waned for an already strapped enterprise.  They requested $25million in CARES funds, and cut service to Maui and Big Island from twice weekly to only once.  So then they heavily loaded the Big Island barge five containers high (normal was four).  Clear weather, but approaching Hilo one bottom container collapsed and toppled 21 containers off the barge just north of Hilo last week.   Salvage tugs managed to tow in the partially sunk containers.  This was all merchandise, groceries and supplies from Honolulu.    Toilet paper not much good after a salt water bath.

So yeah…. I’m looking ahead for as much self-sufficiency as possible.  Shopping is already hit-or-miss where ever one can find critical supplies.

We got some good local fishermen selling roadside… as long as they can get fuel.   Over half of local workers here are unemployed now.  Don’t know what will happen when unemployment benefits run out and nobody has any income.

That’s unbelievable! What kind of people are they hiring?
Moggy is worried things will get worse. Especially where you are dependent on shipping.
She said just in case get what you need by September. Funny the month unemployment will start running out.
Maybe a hen house some chickens fences in plenty of seed. A friend puts hers in big tin trash cans the rodents can’t get to. Don’t let them eat long grass though With all that green only short cut grass , it gets stuck in their throat and they can’t eat or drink. Have to put Drops of oil in their mouth message the neck hope it goes down or they die.

Shipping problems increasing

Posted by Maya @ 21:38 on June 30, 2020

I order stuff from eBay regularly and usually prefer USPS delivery as it is (was?) more reliable and cheaper than FedEx or UPS.   Since the covid crisis shut down a lot of air transport, the usual 3-day priority mail has been a bit late at times, but that’s OK.

But in the past week, two different packages from different areas of the midwest have been mis-routed to GUAM!  The packages just go ‘silent’ on the tracking and seven days later appear in Guam.  Then they have to be sent back to the west coast USA, to be reRouted again to Hawaii.  20 day trip for the first package.  Still waiting for the next one.

Two separate items that were ‘economy shipping’ with ‘partners’ or ground transport just flat disappeared from tracking and I was refunded for non-delivery.

Welcome to the new normal.

Clear sign Gold and silver are going higher from TD Ameritrade

Posted by Buygold @ 21:01 on June 30, 2020

UGLD, USLV, DGLD, DSLV, ZIV, VIIX, and TVIX will no longer trade on any national securities exchange after July 2. UGAZ and DGAZ will stop trading after 7/10. They will be delisted on 7/12 and there will be no further issuances of these ETNs. More details

These are all positive gold and silver funds doubles. They won’t allow people to make serious money in funds like these if gold and silver explodes. Don’t see where they stopped trading the negative funds though.

These guys are crooks, pure and simple, upside or downside, they will steal your wealth.

Trump Never Briefed On Unvetted Russian Bounty Intel Because NSA “Strongly Dissented”

On Tuesday, the same day that Joe Biden finally emerged to hold his first press conference in 89 days in order to lash out at what he called Trump’s “dereliction of duty” over the NY Times Russian bounties for Taliban militants to kill American troops in Afghanistan story, The Wall Street Journal issued this bombshell:

The National Security Agency strongly dissented from other intelligence agencies’ assessment that Russia paid bounties for the killing of U.S. soldiers in Afghanistan, according to people familiar with the matter.

The disclosure of the dissent by the NSA, which specializes in electronic eavesdropping, comes as the White House has played down the revelations, saying that the information wasn’t verified and that intelligence officials didn’t agree on it.

And what happened to Farmboy? Thanks for the chicken method of stock picking. I thought chicken entrails and feet were involved too. 🙂 I think Gold and PMs are looking good. We’re low compared to 2012, and stocks bonds and real estate look too high.

Mr Copper 14:55 …… Happy Hour for Wanka

Posted by winedoc @ 15:19 on June 30, 2020

He used to talk about tossing this chicken bones for good luck or predicting the future ……  hahahha

How to divine by the chicken bones:

We ask the spirits what is going to happen in the future by counting the holes in the thigh-bones of the sacrificed chicken. We look closely at the shaft of each bone to locate the holes. The holes reveal good luck or bad luck, this depends on the type of ceremony performed and what we wish for. Small, thin bamboo sticks are used to show where the holes are and how they slant.

Happy Canada Day. Tomorrow to our Canadian Friends

PM Stock Picking: using Kentucky Windage, Momentum, Past Performance, Dollar Volume, Market Cap Etc

Posted by Mr.Copper @ 14:55 on June 30, 2020

And what was it that WANKA used to use?? Something to do with chickens? Anybody remember? Anyway, I started looking at Silver stocks, and it looks like ticker SILV, silvercrest is outperforming all other Silver miners.

From the start of the third major Gold wave up, 1/1/16, its up 7,000% to $9.19/sh from .82 cents. Dollar Volume right now $9,400,000. Market cap, $934,000. Year to date +35%. Slightly outperforming Gold at about 18%. With pathetic Silver FLAT YTD, at $18.56 today.

If Silver finally gets off its fat lazy ass soon, and it should, this thing might go a lot further. However there are a lot of old favorite Silver miners that have been really sick and lagging. So there are two approaches for me. Go for the laggards? Or go for the leaders. Leaders or laggards, that’s the choice.

There is no way to know for sure why a stock goes up or down, or why some are more popular or unpopular. Some have good profits and go nowhere, and some don’t make any money and don’t stop going up.

Naturally that Virus thing pushed everything down for a while. Also when Trump started campaigning in mid 2015 “don’t worry about the economy” “don’t worry about your Guns” all the PMs and Gun stocks crashed for a while. But net net we can call 1/1/2016 a huge bottom.

Re a Gold Royalty miner, that somebody mentioned here lately looks very interesting. ELYGF. Up over 300% YTD, at $1.48, $728,209 Dollar Volume now, + 3,700% from the 1/1/16 low. at .06 cents.
