Earthquake video tweet. Maybe she should of said anyone wishing to use it 500 each. Look at the note of all the news asking her to use it.

That’s what I asked awhile back but was so tired I said lava level instead of zone of where the proximal areas being affected. I just looked it up later.
Yes I know there are zones but was wondering if they knew the risks of being in direct path plus get the well it hasn’t happened in a long time. Yes the insurance is expensive and if memory serves comes from England. Plus if you are in those higher risk zones you might even have trouble financing. I thought about it for 6 months out of year but I didn’t like the thought of not having insurance then you mentioned it’s impossible to get a reasonable medical supplemental insurance as well which in these days of imported doctors, corporate protocol “do least as possible” that can lack common sense and more your limited on choices without it. It makes me wonder if it’s related to active volcanos too.
You need more active political there to help maybe.
They say one day it will break off and a new Island will form.
The Big Island is divided into ‘Lava Risk Zones’ that are published and must be disclosed at a real estate deal. Major insurers will not write homeowners insurance in the high risk areas. The state sponsors a fire insurance program thru a local insurance agency that will provide risk insurance in lava areas, but it is horribly expensive and most cannot afford it.
Leilani Estates was built right atop the high risk rift zone of the volcano… lava zone 1… where the ground could crack and erupt at any time. It is a stupid place to build and live. But those people were NOT ignorant of the risks. It is well known and published and disclosed. You pays your money, and takes your chances. Many would say “It hasn’t erupted in years. We will be OK”
…or not. The Hawaiians say you don’t mess with Pele. She goes where she pleases. This is her land, and she will take it back at any time.
Still trembling today. The number of small earthquakes seems to have increased. This is a major geologic change in the volcano, and we just wait and watch to see what comes next.
I don’t know about always lol and I don’t blame anyone from trying to save their money in a melt down but flaunting influence for his own benefit is another especially if it hurts others. He was also a outside advisor to Obama. He would praise his bailouts.
You beat me to it. Very well said – as always.
Buffett is an insider crook.
My bet is that silver might spike right back up to the $17.35 level, probably pretty fast.
Maybe I’ll be wrong as usual.
I wonder how Buffet’s number would be if he invested in Sears, GE, Enron, etc. He’s a helluva stock picker, gotta give him that, I’m sure none of it had to do with inside info – his bet on Goldman Sachs went really well after 2009 – really smart to invest in a company the US taxpayers had to bail out.
During the crash of 08 Buffet hid behind the very kind of companies that brought the economy down. Why, because he knew they would get a bail out and in effect so would he while everyone else suffered.
For example, Buffett pumped $5 billion into Goldman Sachs shortly after Lehman Brothers collapsed, a massive boost of confidence in Goldman that shored up its stock price. Buffett bought $5 billion in preferred shares, and as part of the deal won warrants for an additional $5 billion worth of common shares.
In 2011, Goldman bought back the preferred stock for $5.64 billion, and handed Buffett a $500 million bonus. Then last week, Buffett exercised the option on 13.1 million common shares for a value of about $2.07 billion.

Californian Senator Richard Pan pushing to outlaw parental rights in all medical decisions
Son of immigrants that seeks to usurp the constitution. He even wants to over step other doctors about vaccines because he knows better than them. Also wants to stop free speech conserving information about the adverse effects of vaccines.
Now going after homeschoolers in a round about way to force vaccinations on them.
One dumb district in Sac voted him in. Hope they wake up this time.

Cause Zero Hedge has had very few articles lately calling for am imminent collapse or bear mkt. I just checked their site–there are currently zero articles.
The filth negated the first report…but the fact that the commercials are back again so soon reducing their silver shorts could be a sign that “something’s cooking”…anyway, I’m keeping my cajones crossed!
Unfortunately, it’s Buffett who is totally missing the point:
ZH: The Real Story Is the Ongoing Emerging Markets Rout
“the big story remains the recent surge in the dollar and the accelerating rout in Emerging Markets, where a bevy of currencies, including the TRY, ZAR, INR, IDR and especially the Argentina Peso most recently, have all gotten crushed, in many cases sliding to all time lows, prompting some to ask if another 1997-style EM crisis is on the horizon”
These are the things that don’t like tax repatriation:
I wonder if those poor people knew their house was build on a volcano path. People will sell you anything for money.Due to the high cost of almost non existent insurance in that area how many had insurance. Maybe they have a law suit if they were not informed. One man on TV said he moved there form Calif. to get away from fires. I think he lived in Leilani.
earthquake on the Big Island. Had a 7.2 back in 1975. This is not a plate-fault earthquake, where stress is ‘relieved’. This is an active volcano moving around underground. So just because we had a big one does NOT mean the stress is relieved. There is magma under pressure, and we could have another big one at any time.
Part of the stress and uncertainty. The summit has deflated. Pu’u O’o has collapsed and deflated. All the magme flowed down the rift and is now fighting to escape from the weak spot it finds. The cracks will get larger, and more earthquakes will rearrange the underground plumbing. Pele goes where she pleases… something we all live with here.
But I am happy with the house. It’s built on a slab which tends to float in one piece in an earthquake, so it keeps the house together. No fears of sleeping in it now. I may need a gas mask though, if the fumes come this way.

When the juice is dead, you need a diesel to keep folks moving!

Glad to see you still have power. If you think it’s only the beginning of the quakes can you sleep outside? A 6 is getting up there. Last thing you need is being trapped in your house with a possibility of lava heading your way.
Many of us though it will be another Vietnam but it’s worse. Plus we have so call refugees of mostly men all over the place causing havoc and Europe is being ruined by it. Let no good deed go unpunished.
I need my fix of train photos each morning .
I have been in a 6.8 , but in a dwelling designed for it . As an engineer I was more taken by the response of the columns , etc. than for my safety . It was all over in two minutes for me . The other three I have been in were of lesser magnitude .
I hope this one has released enough energy that you will be fine for a long time .
House rattled a looong time, but no damage. I’m riding a bucking volcano today. Yee-HAW!
Leilani Estates es Tostadas. Five different cracks in the area. Sulfur fumes dangerous in the area. With all these big earthquakes today I’m beginning to think we’ve only just begun…
So, what’s the difference between these days and 1970s? The 1970s were the LAST years of domestic production of consumer products. We made all our own needs, plus the moon landing and the Vietnam war. Plenty of work to do and everyone worked over time.
People in their 20s and 30s had tons upon tons of discretionary income. First came the gold de-peg in 1971. The “new” so called free floating Dollar dropped, prices inverted higher, everybody saw inflation, everybody wanted and got pay raises to match cost run ups. Employers had no choice. Too much work to do, and not enough employees.
The Gov’t fake media blamed a “wage price spiral” and proceeded to get inflation numbers lower with cheap imported consumer products. Many people ’70 to ’80 were buying inflation hedges like stamps coins antiques etc with their discretionary income.
Wages fell by half after that, wives had to work, 40 hours to 80 hours and these days there is a LOT less DISCRETIONARY fun income to spend. Its hard to sell anything these days unless its really under priced. To match their under priced income or the under priced import.
Note: The rising prices 1970 to 1980 was due to excess money creation between 1934 and 1971. After 1971 (deflation with climbing prices) the Fed was actually sucking money OUT of circulation with 18% interest rates. Mexico at that time had 35% rates. People were selling everything to buy an 18% CD. Dead money, locked up, can’t be spent.
Why do you think rates are so low today? Just the opposite situation. They dropped rates to make us SPEND it. “Oh, you have no money to spend”? “Ok then, we’ll lend you all you want to spend, with no money down”. “If you can’t pay it back? Don’t worry about it, its only paper” “Your fellow taxpayers will bail out the banks and General Motors”
Silver was historically “the poor mans gold”, but the poor men got poorer thanks to imports. Gold is now bought by the more well off. Note how Gold has outperformed silver.
Thanks for the response.
In order to believe the US Gov’t. “official story” on chemical weapons being used on the Syrian public, you’d have to believe that Assad is a complete moron. The guy is an opthomologist educated in the US for pete’s sakes. His country was free and open to all religions, especially Christians.
He knew what the “red line” was for using chemical weapons, why would he cross the line when he’s won the war? Makes no sense.
Trump knows this too. He wants out of Syria – and we should get the hell out.
It’s time we get out of the M.E. – we don’t need any of those countries, including Israel.
I think this time it’s really going to happen. Something different going on in the silver market. Maybe a silver Ruble on the horizon? That would shake up all the markets
Course, that’s just my spidey sense working. 🙂
Just experienced a 5.6 earthquake here on the volcano. Mild rumbling & shaking at home. Volcano eruption continues to toast Leilani Estates. USGS pix & chronology can be found here:
