I have less than zero admiration for the Mad Mullahs in Iran…but ain’t it strange that the Rial falls apart right on cue, the Ruble is as also regularly wacked.

The Rig has more than one use it seems.

That damn near every break out fails, tells much about the Rig.

We’ll probably be left alone tdy, as their beloved SM is flying…because it is Wednesday.

Oh oh !!! spoke too soon..scum tapping us down into the close.

Lol That can depend on cycles or what direction it’s going. Exactly why I don’t like the buy and hold except maybe core as some hold or few positions just to remind you when they do lol in a downtrend. People tend to get carried away in a uptrend and think it will never end till it does. Commodities are to fickle to do that. Then they sell in the downtrend and think they’re purposely getting washed out sometimes then it starts again. But in a down trend it may not even recoupe your loses in a bounce depending. So people wind up holding their life away. Again why I don’t like buy and hold with commodities,
Then again even the general market every so many years if your not watching they’ll take back your gains.
Anyways in a down trend any bounce won’t last and you can’t afford less you have a fast platform and then go short and the headache to day trade. People get nervous after a fall and as I predict ideas back then it was gonna be a slow take down and it was more than slow and painful. Right now it’s holding which is amazing in itself.

The Iranian Rial’s Economic Death Spiral

Posted by ipso facto @ 14:31 on May 9, 2018

The Grim Reaper has taken his scythe to the Iranian rial (see chart below). The Islamic Republic of Iran remains in the ever-tightening grip of an economic death spiral. The economy is ever-vulnerable because of problems created by the last Shah, and added to massively by the theocratic regime. Indeed, the economy is more vulnerable to both internal and external shocks than ever. That vulnerability will become more apparent in the face of President Trump’s tearing up of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), and the laying on of more primary and secondary sanctions against Iran.

How fast the death spiral will spin is anyone’s guess.

I guess TA is relevant to finding the breakouts, because pretty much every breakout fails.

I’ve never seen anything flat line as long as the pm shares have for the last couple of years.

TA, IMO is the only thing relevant in the PMs amongst all the noise less we have indept knowledge how money moves and manipulation. To a point anyways because now you got to wait for verification OR be quick on the button ESP with futures which influence it cuz they’ll play games in driving it up only to sell it when they do. It looks like consolidation mode so verification is important right now which way it will go.

I’m glad and hope it keeps up. Calif conservatives are outnumbered by the liberal brain dead. Watched part of the Gov debate and all the Demos want more of what Brown was doing. I liked both the repubs but a demo is up in the polls. Some people don’t like or even hate Brown but don’t even want to look anymore at what’s going on feeling over whelmed I guess may not even vote. More exodus to come. Just more mismanagement, more taxes ” always their answer to mismanagement,” open borders and empty promises with the rest. Then we got these immigrants or children of immigrants running who can’t tell the difference between legal and illegal immigration that will not assimilate and put American citizens first but want to represent them. Demos attitudes is over crowding brings them money at the expense to quality of life and the middle class. It will have to just crash and burn but then it will probably be too late and be a over crowded poverty ridden hell hole these politicians think is normal with more kids turning to drugs and crime they’ll never climb out of.
We can just hope there is enough silent majority but with no voter ID I doubt it.
Since they will be moving out to other states they need to stay red now.

Maddog – just a hunch

but I think T/A is completely insignificant in the pm markets

John McAfee Invites Jamie Dimon To Learn About His Impotent, Blockchain-Powered, Bangkok Hooker-Filled Future

Monday embarked from Singapore on a two-day “Blockchain Cruise”, that by Wednesday found everyone relaxing on a private beach in Thailand. Here’s the actual ship:

According to Bloomberg’s account, the motley crew assembled for this joke of a jaunt through the Malacca Strait was comprised mostly of “young men” sporting “‘Buy The Dip’ t-shirts” and was set against a background of “Bitcoin-themed rap music”.

So basically, it was a sausage fest of former gamers who, by virtue of having traded in their Call of Duty habit for cryptocurrency trading, are now rich on paper and maybe not virgins anymore.

The choice of intoxicant seems to reflect the composition of the crowd. Here’s Bloomberg describing the scene as Bitcoin careened lower by 21%:

But if anyone was fazed, they didn’t show it. The party rolled on as the sangria and Red Bull flowed.

Got that? Sangria and Red Bull. I’ve seen harder drinking at a Bachelorette party (don’t ask me what I was doing at a Bachelorette party).

Of course this tribute to the blockchain gods wouldn’t have been complete without a cartoonish list of speakers that included Ronnie Moas, a self-styled “analyst” who runs a one-man research shop out of Miami beach, seen below doing his best Uncle Fester impression while ostensibly explaining something in front a fire extinguisher, which he’ll need to put out the flames when his Bitcoin $300,00 thesis crashes and burns:

If you follow this space, you’re invariably wondering whether John McAfee was there and the answer is “fuck yes, John McAfee was there”. In fact, he was “the biggest draw.”

That makes all kinds of sense and not just because John is one of the most recognizable faces in the cryptoverse. I mean think about it. If you were getting murdered on red sangria off the coast of an island, who better to hang out with than a guy who was never arrested or charged in connection with murdering someone on an island, right?

Here’s Bloomberg again:

On Wednesday, McAfee blamed the recent market slump on unfounded fear of government intervention. He urged cryptocurrency holders — one of whom sported a “Buy The Dip” t-shirt — to stick with their bets.

Got that? Just “stick with those bets” because if you don’t, well then you might not be invited to the third annual “Blockchain Cruise” which, if we have too many more weeks like the one we just had, will have to be downgraded to a riverboat gambling tour on the Mississippi.

Mc Afee and jamie Diamond ..now thats a group that I like ! together on a cruise trip in Phuket Thailand

Ya gotta admit McAfee is a bit over the TOP ,but…..He’s a hell of a Party animal !

It reminds me of my Scuba diving days..I always liked diving with the Dr.s,they know the risks of the bends and physical limits,so diving with them will keep you safe….but but when the diving day is done ,I always hung out with the Lawyers ,they are Risk takers and they know how to party ! They know where all the local bars are and the girls that like to party !

One guy I remember well a Red headed lawyer who was Ronald Reagans representative to China ,he and Ed Meese went there to teach them about the US Legal system ,he was also a party animal and my dive buddy on several trips ..haha I miss my diving days …The Drs and Lawyers were fun …One Dr told me about his ex and how she married another DR. who now sports around in his new Yacht with the  divorce settlement money ..he then said to me that som bitch got “MY BOAT”…….hehe

Re Dollar

and PM shares just put in hrly downside reversals, as small bull break outs were stopped dead and reversed….simply amazing action.

But I wonder how significant such TA is, in such rigged mkts….if we do see new Hi’s today, then the mkts don’t care.

Oil stocks like MRO iOS imo had quite a roller coaster ride since Dec. Jumped on Iran issue but less it has another catylist its nearing their PO’s. Then we’re heading into hurricane season although quiet so far and will signal inflation with the Feds I can guess so any new buying is risky.

Re Tesla

Fire is the dirty secret of Lithium Ion Batteries…When a racing car that has them crashes the Marshalls treat it all very seriously, as they are v scared that if a fire breaks out, the battery pack will explode, or maybe the impact will cause it to explode. No way do they run up and spray the car with foam, like a normal racing car, they seal off the area and wait to see if it goes up.

we are up about $11 from the lows this morning and still going up…

The Trump agenda has won again, prisoners returning home, and finally an effective response to Iran’s nuclear ambitions is being built.  Oil and commodities are still moving upwards.  Time to increase your holdings on the gold train.

Iranian missiles in the news again

Posted by Elliott @ 9:36 on May 9, 2018

Last night, the Iranian backed rebels fired another salvo at Riyad, Saudi Arabia.  Also last night the Israeli’s attacked another factory structure in Syria that was probably full of Iranian missiles as secondary explosions were recorded.

There is no doubt that the Israeili’s have warned the Russians that any large scale attack on Israel by Iranian missiles from Syria, Lebanon and Gaza will result in the Israeli’s directly attacking Iran as well as the missile bases in those three Iranian proxy countries.  I think this will keep the Iranians from launching a full scale attack on Israel until such time as they get their nukes developed and put on missiles.  In the meantime, the Israelis will continue attacking Iranian missile stockpiles and command and control centers in Syria, particularly in the Golan Heights area.  Last month the Israeli’s attacked the Iranian command center for Iranian drones at the Syrian T4 airfield, that too will continue.  Peace in the Middle East at this point is up to Iran.  They can spend their Obama windfall of cash on it’s people and infrastructure, or they can spend it trying to destroy Israel and increasing the reach of the Persian empire.

The $ index is .460 off its high-but before we get too excited, please realize that the best gold

Posted by Richard640 @ 9:31 on May 9, 2018

could do was to be up 1.30 or so…I saw that a few minutes ago…now gold is dwon       50 cents…yes, yes, JNUG,SLV and others have come back from their pre-mkt lows…BUT THERE IS NO UPSIDE…at least not yet…resilience is nice but doesn’t pay the bills.

Also remember that gold can easily fall on any dollar rise but doesn’t necessarily rise on its fall…that said, I still stick to my call of $2500 to $3000 gold bby the end of 2018.
