Yeah, a stent will do stretch damage to the artery.  And then the artery considers the stent to be a damage site, and it begins to plaque over the stent again.  Typically in five years or less the stent is again clogged up and then you have a much worse problem.

Same thing applies to a bypass operation.  Temporary fix, but the damaged areas will plaque over again.

Before your arteries are completely blocked, intravenous chelation therapy with EDTA will clear out plaques to an amazing degree.  I had it done years ago with great results.  Finding a doctor to do the procedures is a problem as it is not ‘mainstream’ medical.

Stent operations ‘are a waste of time’ for people with angina: Study warns the procedure carries huge risks and few benefits

Posted by ipso facto @ 14:56 on November 2, 2017

Millions of people with angina get a stent put in to widen their arteries
A study by Imperial College London found the operation has a huge risk of damaging the arteries but does not improve quality of life
The results add to growing evidence that procedures including keyhole knee surgery and arthritis operations only work because of a ‘placebo effect’

This ‘simulated grid-down emergency’…

Posted by Maya @ 14:47 on November 2, 2017

alleged test is getting strange.   Ham radio operators in Hawaii had a periodic SET… simulated emergency test… a few weeks back.  The ham regional coordinators for the ARRL (American Radio Relay League) were NOT notified of the upcoming ‘grid test’, but it is published on the ARRL website.  Current consensus here is that it is a test for the Mainland USA that does not include us here in Hawaii, because we already had a similar test a couple weeks ago.

But word had spread among the rumor mill here about a ‘solar flare emergency’ that is beginning to freak people out.  A DOD contractor friend (computers & networks engr) working overseas got wind of it and is telling his wife here to ‘stock up’ on canned goods.  He seems to think it will ‘go real’.  No word about it being just a ‘test’ exercise for communications.

But by-and-large the population here is ignorant and subject to intense rumor-mill excitement.  I remember years ago we were subject to a rumor that there would be a 9-magnitude earthquake at 8pm on a Friday.  The phone-rumor mill went into overload here because the info was alleged to come from someone who knew someone at State Civil Defense.   That evening the State Civil Defense activated the local Emergency Broadcast System here to deny the information because it was causing local panic.  None of the population seemed smart enough to know that earthquakes CANNOT be forecast with such magnitude and exact timing in advance.

So we wait….   As I check the solar charts for radio propagation, I see there have been NO major flares, and there are NO sunspots showing on the sun that could cause a flare in the predicted timeframe, so the ‘threat’ is not real.   IF something happens, it will be a false flag for sure.

Will it be a Nothing Burger?

While you still can find a good doctor and someone in your case who won’t be retired when you retire that will later take Medicare and not be too worried about your supplemental because Medicare won’t cover all your visits or tests or procedures. Try to find one that takes the cheeper supplementals like united health even if it’s not a PPO. You want to look at who they work with in that case incase something serious happens and check reviews but just know most won’t be perfect depending on the day they had but general idea. Things like what hospital they work out of what groups they’d refer you to for general things that could go wrong and if they have a problem refering you. Remember to be pro active too. If there not doing what there supposed to be doing go somewhere else.
Best to try to set yourself up now so when you turn 65 your not looking to find a good doctor who takes it and they can go fast.

Knock knock Richard!

This is a RECORD divergence in prices between these two asset classes. One is alive, the other I fear dead

My God did they ask all those questions. I went on that exchange when I started working for myself and it was a joke with the deductibles but didn’t get all those questions. I just put in a amount I was to warn pulling a little more didn’t worry about mentioning stocks wasn’t trading then but if I did I would of dealt with it then. Stocks shouldn’t count as earned income anyways and you can’t PREDICT what your going to make or possibly lose anyways. In Calif that’s what they do. When I hit 65 last year you have to sign up for Medicare and pay them until you draw SS which I haven’t yet.
Yeah at 66 now you can so called make as much as you want but they’ll get you in taxes. They’ll effectively take it back up to 85% will be hit and taxed over a certain amount which isn’t very much compared to Calif prices anyways. It’s your money but treat it like a entitlement.
I feel sorry for those who have to go on these exchange or even have to cover family on jobs anymore. This mandatory is driving prices sky high. Corporate medical is always up to no good to make money off medicine. I’ve seen so many brain dead even criminal BS through the years. Forming into groups who shoddy care like they’re doing again in cities, hiring under educated techs so save on nursing care costs, corp telling doctors not to or make it hard to get referrals and why I got a PPO supplemental cuz I don’t need referrals seeing what’s going on, which was killing people or harming them because they had to wait when they needed immediate help i.e. Possible Detached retina from injury, cancer, heart, lungs whatever. We’re going in this direction again.

I was told the penalty is no longer in place, but I don’t know the accuracy of this claim.

There is a way around the healthcare exchange rates. People like me just claimed that it was a financial hardship and I elected to buy non-exchange compliant health insurance. It’s probably not wise to do, but my wife and I are both self employed and the packages are a nightmare on the exchange for the money. Rip off central. Besides Obozo care was a HUGE information grab, bigger than anything in modern day history. They asked so many questions and wanted to know so much about me that I freaked. Every trade for the last 5 years, every stock I’ve owned and sold, all of our bank account information….no thanks govy pigs

New tax plan As usual no help for middle class no repeal of unconstitutional healthcare penalty

Posted by goldielocks @ 12:52 on November 2, 2017

I figured as much. No real tax break for middle class. JUST MOVIMG NUMBERS AROUND. Many people including me are going to be stuck paying MORE taxes not less. No repeal on healthcare insurance fines.
Here are the details that are emerging Thursday morning:
* The highest tax bracket will remain at 39.6%: According to reports, the plan will propose a fourth marginal tax bracket on high-income earners. It will reportedly apply to married couples making more than $1 million a year.
* New individual tax brackets:
* 12%: Applies to incomes up to $45,000 for an individual and $90,000 for a married couple.
* 25%: Applies to incomes up to $200,000 for and individual and $260,000 for couples.
* 35%: Applies to incomes up to $500,000 for an individual and $1 million for couples.

eeos @ 11:43 re this nut job in NYC

Posted by Mr.Copper @ 12:32 on November 2, 2017

It just never ends. If I remember right, it started after that 7 day war in the 1960s, with kids after that, throwing rocks. Then they threw a man in a wheel chair off the side of a cruise ship, and has gotten worse ever since. What the hell do they want??

Truly amazing this charade has gone on as long as it has. But the financial propaganda machine continues to work overtime by keeping the VIX at unprecedented lows (9 range), which immediately cues the passive investment funds to BTFD. We do indeed live in a Matrix world where crimes go unpunished and greed is a good thing.

I think when we capture suspects like this nutjob in NYC that we need to take his immediate family and bring them to GB and torture the shit out of them too. eff it, they’re in on the game. Surely these sick bastards know what’s up with suspect family members and people that are in direct contact with turds like this. Want to meet your 40 virgins?
