There’s a silver lining in every cloud! 🙂

Tax Plan looks pretty good to me – go figure

GOP Tax Plan “Talking Point” Highlights Released

Moments ago, the GOP released the “talking point” highlights of the republican tax plan which, as previewed moments ago, will in fact keep the 20% corporate tax cut as permanent. Here are the most notable changes…

Hey Ipso

Not sure if today is the day. Course not sure what today would be the day for? 🙂

Although in the last few minutes the USD and the SM have taken a little hit while the pm’s have strengthened along with the VIX.

I’m pretty sure the grid is going down this weekend though along with the Marxist Antifa rallies taking place around the country. If so, we may not have to worry about the Capcha thing anymore… 🙂

Unfortunately the time line is a little cloudy …

EXK snapping back nicely this am

Don’t know what the heck went on yesterday with the selloff on heavy volume.

Maybe just a fund trying to liquidate?

Maddog – Nice to see that over inflated pig TSLA take a hit. It may not go straight down though as the short interest in that is pretty heavy.

Next problem…. Can u Get Gold up $ 1000 and the SM down 20 %….

Good morning buygold. Yeah I don’t think Weston had anything to do with it, some WordPress thing. At least it’s gone.

I’m trying to figure out how to change the sidebar to put an email there for people who are having trouble registering or logging in.

PS Is today the day? 🙂

Just logged out and in and …..No captcha….mny tks

Posted by Maddog @ 10:00 on November 2, 2017

Ipso – just logged in

Posted by Buygold @ 9:57 on November 2, 2017

No Capcha required. That was odd for it to all of a sudden require that type of login.

I would assume Weston would have notified us if he were to make that change,

Logged out, logged in, no problem

Posted by silverngold @ 9:47 on November 2, 2017

But then I have not had a problem lately. LOL!!!

The Captcha thing appears to be gone now

Posted by ipso facto @ 9:29 on November 2, 2017

If someone else can log out and log in again to confirm …

Captcha

Posted by ipso facto @ 9:24 on November 2, 2017

As far as I know no admins did any adjustment or setting change to bring on this captcha hell we have now. It was implemented by the people who run the whole shebang, the format for the website we are using.

Having said that I’m going to try some changes and see if we can do away with it.

Now I understand why Wankas’ nephew couldn’t register and post directly. Isn’t this a user supported site? I know I

have contributed to its upkeep–most of us are “older”–so why make it so user unfriendly? If I have to go thru this ordeal every time u won’t see my smiling face around here anymore…then you’ll be sorry! [snort!]

MAYA–my browser DOES retain cookies on all websites except this one–but that is

zilch compared to the reCaptcha problem–

JUST ELIMINATE it and–if the site administrators must use one –choose a simpler one

TSLA getting the PM stock treatment down $20 o/n…@ 6 %

To celebrate the day, a friend kidnapped me for a road trip to South Point.  For a brief time yesterday, I was the southernmost person in the United States, at   N18 54′ 41″

The “Remember Me” function stores a ‘cookie’ on your browser that the login app looks for in later log-ins.  If your browser is set to high security settings, it likely dumps session cookies at the end of the browser session.   So the ‘remember me’ information gets scrubbed by the browser.

I’m not complaining, but because I log in from the TOR network I still have to go thru the arithmetic security also… and I have learned I have to do that FIRST or later tries thru captcha put me into an endless loop.  So after the arithmetic is done, then I have to completely log in again with username and password, and THEN go thru the captcha pix playing ‘wack a mole’.  I consider it the amusement price of admission.

You need to have eagle vision to make sure you clicked all the correct images. I have never encountered such a difficult CAPTCHA solver and even my son could barely see the microscopic cars that were sticking out around the building corners. Either remove the CAPTCHA completely or use the simplified version in which all you have to do is check the box and you are verified. Why was this extra layer of security even added? We’re a gold discussion forum – not the Pentagon.

Additionally, despite checking “remember me” every time I log in, I am asked to re-enter my username and password each time I come back.

Also, a contact link to reach the administrators would be very helpful.

EDIT: I meant to say a “working” contact link would be very helpful because the one’s under ‘about us’ just direct me to the homepage of the website.

With the Bitcoin futures contract, the contract owner is paid cash.  The absence of a requirement to deliver actual Bitcoins enables the issuance of an unlimited number of fiat dollar-based paper Bitcoin contracts which can be used to drive the price lower by increasing the supply of the contract relative to the demand.  So much for the idea that Bitcoin supply issuance is firmly capped. This could  actually be quite entertaining to observe

It’s also quite possible that Bitcoin futures could divert hedge fund trading volume away from gold and silver futures. This would be a blessing in disguise if this occurs.  The price-momentum chasing hedge fund algo trading enables the Comex bank manipulation of Comex futures contracts.  Remove this source of volume and it will remove to some degree the ability of the banks to push the price around by exploiting the hedge fund algos.

If the percentage of open interest in gold and silver Comex futures contracts becomes skewed toward the users of these contracts who actually take bona fide delivery of the underlying physical gold/silver bars because the non-delivery-taking users move over to Bitcoin futures, it could  mitigate the ability of the banks to price-cap the price of gold/silver.
