There is a way around the healthcare exchange rates. People like me just claimed that it was a financial hardship and I elected to buy non-exchange compliant health insurance. It’s probably not wise to do, but my wife and I are both self employed and the packages are a nightmare on the exchange for the money. Rip off central.
