Here Here on that one. The US employees need some inflation for anexcuse. I remember the 1970s, constantly climbing prices. Everybody got good raises. I got raises every few months. The so-called inflation was a perfect excuse for more money. Even the employers were making money.
HOWEVER, that was before globalization. We made EVERYTHING at home here. The climbing prices were blamed on climbing wages. The so-called inflationary 1970s was propaganda.
Inflation, in the increase of money supply that took place 1934 to 1971. The results of THAT real inflation, higher prices lagged and showed up later in the ’70s. All thru the 1970s the Fed RAISED rates and sucked money OUT.
Removing money with rates to 21% was deflation. Which also LAGGED and falling prices showed up in 1980 to 2001. REMEMBER anyone?? If Volker did not put a high rate headwind in front of the climbing prices, we may have had a real hyperinflationary situation.
Raising CD rates to 18% pretty much forced everyone to sell stamps AU AG etc and suck up some free money at the bank. Today its all opposite. Low rates forcing people to spend it.

“Kirby contends the U.S. dollar is a “rigged” game. Is it about to be knocked out by blockchain technology? Kirby says, “Absolutely. What the cryptos offer that the dollar doesn’t is decentralization. It’s the centralized U.S. fiat dollar and the dollar standard that requires everybody in the world, who wants to buy commodities in international markets, must first purchase U.S. dollars. Crypto currencies bypass the dollar and allow for transmission of ownership in a very rapid, cost effective manner. They bypass the dollar completely. What this really means is with the uptake and accelerated use of cryptos, countries will require less and less dollars in their reserve accounts to purchase the goods they want and need in the international marketplace. What happens when people don’t need dollars anymore? The dollars return home. They come back to America . . . which ultimately means inflation will come to America.”

Friedland confident Congo copper project will be bigger than Grasberg
Robert Friedland is mining’s most consummate promoter and the executive chairman of Ivanhoe Mines yesterday grabbed the opportunity to advertise his latest venture – the Kamoa-Kakula project in the Congo – with his usual gusto.
Friedland transformed what could have been a set of exciting drill results into 43 holes of “global significance in the copper world”.
Not that he doesn’t have a lot to work with.
Ivanhoe’s May update lifted Kamoa-Kakula’s resource base above a billion tonnes for the first time and thanks to grades that are a distant memory for Chile’s giants, the in-situ value is an eye-watering $193 a tonne at today’s prices.
Friedland said he’s looking forward to giving shareholders a “substantial” resource expansion in time for Christmas:

Welcome back.
No matter how much practice we get in dealing with deaths in the family it never really gets easier. The most helpful thought for me is that we all meet up later, and then maybe we can laugh at all our earthly worries.

Sympathies for the shock of the storm… and then the realization of the devastation and cleanup required afterward in dismal conditions. The aftermath lingers…
Glad to hear our friends made it thru so far. My presence here is intermittent also with lots of family time. It’s been funeral and burial week.
Watching the Florida recovery and listening to the stories are all good lessons in ‘Preparedness’. Nothing like boiling some water and brewing some refreshment before beginning the cleanup.

One hurricane sure did a lot of damage collectively. Multi Islands, Cuba, practically all of Florida then it moved up to multi states.

They do, one being mandatory vaccines. They don’t want people proving something’s wrong with them. There’s a whole lot wrong with them. They don’t give out the inserts to people and probably never read them in Dr offices. That alone who alarm people but at lease forearm them. The inserts themselves will warn you about some of the adverse effects as well as contradictions some which never tested prior to giving and also tell you some of what’s in them but they made it so they don’t have to tell you ALL the many toxins in them if under a certain amount. They have money and the biggest money to lobbiests bribing politicians.

47 hours without power is an inconvenience but not a disaster. very little storm damage here, a couple of limbs down out of the trees. lots of leaves and twigs strewn everywhere. almost everyone else had power a day ago, but rumor has it that there were not one, but two trees down on a major transmission line near here.
all’s well that ends well …for this area at least. somebody must have given hari- kann, the hurricane god enough of the fight kind of gin.

Glad you and family are okay and the trees survived. Must have been hell for the trees too. Do you have power yet? No word from Florida so wonder if he has power. News over and over said Keys devastated and lower part people can’t get in no power gas and hospitals still closed. Glad Wanka and wife are out. People are wanting back to access the damage said they should have stayed while people who stayed said never again. One said and he was a tough looking guy that next time he’s taking a plane to the other side of the country. Lol Must have been a rough night.
Can’t understand why their dragging their feet on the islands but that’s up to the French and Dutch. They also want troops in to protect them from mobs of looters.
Tampa hurting for gas too said with no power people cooling off in their cars and charging phones. When a gas station opens up likes form and gone fast. Gov needs to get more gas to the people. Other way see he did a good job evacuating city by city instead of all at once and getting out the news to shelter the storm. Still have the aftermath and limited resources plus scalping prices.

“I think we have absolutely moved the needle on China. If China doesn’t follow these sanctions, we will put additional sanctions on them and prevent them from accessing the U.S. and international dollar system. And that’s quite meaningful.”
