If you have a SS office near you go there and have them make another copy and have it stamped. Also fax it and keep verification.
When I signed up they were just about doubling it or someone told me. You want to take it because you can’t get Obama care which is worthless anyways anymore because they will penalize you for delays.
I think Congress should be forced to take Obama care and Medicare. While your at it see if you can get any wavers on premiums. I do wish there was some supplemental you can get. If you have a kid you can trust maybe now put at least half the house in his or her name. Not all but least half. A quarter in wife and rest to go to her if something happens to you. That way if they go after your house due to medical costs someday they can only get a forth of its value. If you do it at the last few years so I heard it won’t count. I think last 3. Not that your ready to kick up some dirt but will protect family later. I heard horror stories of rotten kids once they signed over the house they lost it or even evicted them and even if the judge thought it was despicable they couldn’t do anything. They should of put a clause under giving them the house they couldn’t sell it get a loan on it while they’re still there or evict them. Some kids decide the parents should be in a retirement home.
Anyways just a thought. Smart for some with divorces and remarried to do because they can insure the kids get their inheritance while insuring the spouce male or female isn’t homeless either but at same time can’t walk away from fiduciary promoses and duties. It’s really amazing how people can change or act when money’s involved. There’s not many that will actually do what they said they would when a person is no longer around. These papers should also be in their hands as they may need proof as well for some they are in sound mind.

Re I remember we paid high for everything, but paid it to a fellow American person or business, we were all in the same boat of give and receive. Now a days, many Americans are giving to outsiders in foreign lands instead. The money went far and stayed home.

When I wasa young girl I asked my stepfather why they want to take us off the gold standard. This came to mind in your post.He said because non citizens refering to Mexico in Calif before the mass outsourcing is taking our gold reserves out of the country to theirs and others. I’m guessing that would happen in mass today.

The Paper chase…

Posted by Maya @ 19:11 on August 7, 2017

No, not investments.  RETIREMENT!  I’m about to go on Medicare.  Lost my job in 2015 (after a banner income year) and filed for SS in 2016.  So last week I receive a notice from SS that my Medicare Part B premiums to pay will be INCREASED by nearly 50% because, according to my 2015 tax return, I made more money than the ‘threshold’ of what they consider high income.   Two year old data!

Now I have 10 days to prove to SS that I no longer have that luxurious income and am living solely on… get this… SOCIAL SECURITY payments.  I need to show them my 2016 tax return that is drastically less than they think I am making.   Apparently they cannot get the most recent data from IRS… nor from their own records.. that show I retired on near-poverty income.

If this becomes a SNAFU it will affect my premium payments… maybe for life… I dread to think what a struggle it could be to get their bureaucratic hands off that payment stream once they latch on.

Zzzzzz…watching paint fry…JNUG approaches the low of the day..meanwhile, back at the ranch, Bitcoin’s allegedly over $3000

Re “Shortage of This or Shortage of That” (At That Price)

Posted by Mr.Copper @ 15:08 on August 7, 2017

They always leave off the three most important words. Shortage of cheap labor at that price. A lot of business people I know, don’t want to hire anyone because its too expensive with taxes etc. At least half again of the salary for insurance benefits etc.

Plus, most workers I’ve met over decades, hate their jobs. They don’t get paid enough to care, if you ever noticed a lazy worker dragging his feet. Nothing much to lose. My uncle Al, no skills, drove a diaper truck, and had 5 kids, not wife working. Young couples had diaper service.

I remember we paid high for everything, but paid it to a fellow American person or business, we were all in the same boat of give and receive. Now a days, many Americans are giving to outsiders in foreign lands instead. The money went far and stayed home.

If you read between the lines, TPTB are worried about deflation. Many businesses are not profitable enough to pay more with foreign competition, and many workers don’t get paid enough to spend extra money. Some are so under paid they receive tax money. Earned income tax credit?

I agree and can you blame them? Hard work for low wages or continue doing nothing and do better from gov handouts? The system shouldn’t be set up to reward laziness.

“If you don’t work … you don’t eat.” I think is a rational system. If you are truly disabled then OK, but if you can work you should.

Yea this is the top!

Goldcorp closing 107-year-old Dome mine

Posted by ipso facto @ 10:50 on August 7, 2017

It’s the end of an era for one of Canada’s oldest and most prolific gold mines.

Porcupine Gold Mines, a subsidiary of Goldcorp (NYSE:GG, TSX:G), said last week that mining operations are permanently ending at the Dome underground mine in Timmins, Ontario, 107 years after the mine started up in 1910.

Aging infrastructure, low productivity and depleted resources were all cited as factors in the decision. The minelife had been extended for 18 months in July 2016.

“This was a difficult decision, but one that is in the best interest of the long-term sustainability of the Porcupine Gold Mines complex,” Marc Lauzier, mine general manager of Goldcorp’s Porcupine Gold Mines, said in a statement published in The Sudbury Star. He later added: “[I]t’s also about optimizing the business to help me secure investments for some of the other projects that we’re trying to do in the area, including Hoyle, including Hollinger, including Borden, and including eventually Century. We have to make these decisions in order to secure those investments.”

Shortage of farm workers leaving entire fields in California, other states to rot

LOS ANGELES (WCMH) — The debate on immigration has been hitting America’s farms, which are now losing millions in lost crops due to a shortage of agricultural migrant workers.

Nine in 10 farm workers in California are foreign-born, with many of them coming from Mexico. But according to the PEW Research Center, more Mexican immigrants are now leaving the U.S. than arriving.

Farmers tell NBC News the labor shortage is so severe, they’ve had to leave entire fields of vegetables unharvested. In just two counties in California, that’s led to a loss of more than $13 million.

Now, farmers are paying well above minimum wage, offering 401K plans, paid time off, and other incentives to try to lure workers back to the fields. They are also calling on politicians to pass laws to allow guest visa programs during harvest times.

insiders sold almost 53 times as much stock as they purchased

Posted by Richard640 @ 10:18 on August 7, 2017

Welcome to edition 372 of Insider Weekends. Insider buying declined sharply with insiders purchasing $29.30 million of stock compared to $94.97 million in the week prior. Selling on the other hand more than doubled with insiders selling $1.55 billion of stock last week compared to $651.35 million in the week prior.

Sell/Buy Ratio: The insider Sell/Buy ratio is calculated by dividing the total insider sales in a given week by total insider purchases that week. The adjusted ratio for last week went up to 52.91. In other words, insiders sold almost 53 times as much stock as they purchased. The Sell/Buy ratio this week compares unfavorably with the prior week, when the ratio stood at 6.86.

Unexpected North Korea Breakthrough Delays Trump Trade War With China (For Now)

A global punitive campaign on North Korea propelled by sharp new U.N. sanctions – amounting to a $1 billion ban on North Korea exports – received a welcome, and unexpected, boost on Sunday from China, the North’s economic lifeline, when Beijing slammed its neighbor for its ongoing missile and nuclear tests.

The Saturday sanctions agreed to unanimously in a 15-0 Security Council vote are aimed at cutting North Korean exports by about $1 billion a year, a move that would hit laborers and fishermen. Existing joint ventures would be prevented from expanding their operations. The new sanctions could cut off roughly one-third of North Korea’s estimated $3 billion in annual exports, ostensibly denying the nation of funds for its weapons programs. All countries are now banned from importing North Korean coal, iron, lead and seafood products, and from letting in more North Korean laborers whose remittances help fund Kim Jong Un’s regime.

If you have read me over the years you know that stock market weakness relative to gold is a must for a lasting bull view on the gold sector. So dear gold bugs, will the stock market take the cues laid out above and weaken in the coming months or will the market that nearly everyone believes will never go down again prevail? Here is some more work from NFTRH 459 (by way of Sentimentrader) indicating another data point showing a market at high risk. Extremely low cash allocations are not a directive for a market correction but they are a strong condition for one.

a bullish reversal in AMZN this week could be expected to add nitro fuel to the Dow Industrials’ already impressive rally.

Rick’s Pick for Monday—[klik to enlarge chart]

$AMZN – Amazon (Last:987.41)

, August 6 at 6:30 p.m. EDT

The 975.80 correction target shown is clear and compelling — sufficiently so that we should continue to use it as a minimum downside target for the correction from July 27’s record-high print at 1083.31. Plan on bottom-fishing the target if and when AMZN falls to 976.50 or lower. You can use weekly call options at the 1000 strike with at least 10 days left on them. Alternatively, a pop exceeding 1006.40 by mid-week would not negate the target, but it would put the short-term bearish case on ice for the short term. I will continue to monitor this stock closely, because if we get it right, we will get the stock market right as well. In that regard, a bullish reversal in AMZN this week could be expected to add nitro fuel to the Dow Industrials’ already impressive rally.

I had to laugh at your last comment that he must think we’re a independent nation. Lol
As far as job skills this is not the 1950s anymore, although it wasn’t that great if you were a woman. Even in 60 s or 70s most woman couldnt ” work their way up the economic ladder like men in manufacturing without a education.Even with a education they’d get paid less. I was raised to feel bad for woman who worked unskilled labor jobs if married. Because once you got married you wernt supposed to work outside the home less your husband was a loser. Somewhere after our loser Gov made that a necessity for most.
Most the ” skill-less jobs in Ca are going to immigrants or their children.
IN FACT it is creating a problem through stigma. This BS about immigrants taking jobs nobody wants. It’s telling youth it would be embarrassing to take those jobs. Farm workers can make 20 or more a hour if they can work fast picking fruit for instance which is much higher than minimum wage but young people won’t do it because their brainwashed to think its a immigrant job. Same for other no skill jobs less last resort. Computer skills is more and more in demand but there’s kids coming out of school who can’t hardly read add or subtract. Those jobs no longer can support you.
It’s true kids are getting out of college with no where to go. I’ve been bugging my daughter in law after she got her AA to get her BA then after that MA. She’s like Im sick of school I want a job. Love hate she likes school but wants a job. I told her how many people are coming out with AAs can they get a good paying job? You got 100 people applying for that job, next comes BA. Now you get to MA you might have some choices. There are Starbucks workers with BAs.
By the time you get through MA depending on field there are people who will train you if you give them a few years of your life first lol.
That she can always step down the ladder but it’s harder to step up.
Anyways start up jobs have now become a stigma because DNC swamp has been calling these jobs ” jobs nobody wants” for a excuse to condone illegal immigration creating a stigma.
The rest is understandable how you feel. Good to know you do. He’s not a idiot though. He has made correct calls for years. He’s very intuitive. Calling Cruz a fake way before others had him figured out. Hillary and more.
I think his next project will be a GOP or the fake GOP hit list for next election.
