State-owned China National Gold Group and Russia’s Far East Development Fund (FEDF) are said to be in negotiations to set up a new investment fund focused on financing gold projects in eastern Russia.

According to Sputnik News, Chinese investors would contribute up to 90% of the funds needed to cover 10% of the project’s estimated cost, with the rest coming from the venture’s initiators and lenders.

Russia’s Far East Development Fund owns nearly half of the country’s total gold deposits, as well as 40% of copper and large deposits of rare earths, the article says. The deal would allow the fund to move forward with projects that have been stalled for lack of investment.

Welcome back Canuckgold… lives!  The Frankenstein references are following me today.  Dear friend and family in-law was in the hospital here for brain surgery this past week. His recovery has been remarkable and fast, except the speech areas are still a bit slow, but fully aware and cognitive.  He was released from the hospital today, and walked out on his own.  Before release, when the nurse removed the dressing covering his scar to let it air out, he got up and inspected his head in the mirror in the room.  He has a large horseshoe shaped scar next to his ear, looping up near the rear, and coming back down the middle of the scalp forward… all held together with staples.

It’s difficult for him to form words yet, but his eyes got big when he saw the scar and he said two words:

“COOL!   Frankenstein!”

This dear fellow is also a church pastor…  🙂

Yep, that’s the wujo I heard it on.  Clif has also said that as of Tuesday, the 12th, a 16-day period begins wherein we will experience changes in the economy and financial world.  I’m thinking what occurs in those 16 days is the reason for silver to charge up to $38.
