But maybe this time they deserve each other.

Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton’s newly-announced running mate, Virginia Senator Tim Kaine, has a history of embracing Islamists. He appointed a Hamas supporter to a state immigration commission; spoke at a dinner honoring a Muslim Brotherhood terror suspect; and received donations from well-known Islamist groups.

She’ll say let’s stick to the facts when it’s convienant so here’s some of the facts: Otherwise she’ll be seen to women as the victim and in her case there was nothing stopping her from leaving and even contributed to abuses.

When Bill Clinton was president, he allowed Hillary to assume authority over a health care reform. Even after threats and intimidation, she couldn’t even get a vote in a democratic controlled congress. This fiasco cost the American taxpayers about $13 million in cost for studies, promotion, and other efforts. Then President Clinton gave Hillary authority over selecting a female attorney general. Her first two selections were Zoe Baird and Kimba Wood – both were forced to withdraw their names from consideration. Next she chose Janet Reno – husband Bill described her selection as “my worst mistake.” Some may not remember that Reno made the decision to gas David Koresh and the Branch Davidian religious sect in Waco, Texas resulting in dozens of deaths of women and children.Husband Bill allowed Hillary to make recommendations for the head of the Civil Rights Commission. Lani Guanier was her selection. When a little probing led to the discovery of Ms. Guanier’s radical views, her name had to be withdrawn from consideration.Apparently a slow learner, husband Bill allowed Hillary to make some more recommendations. She chose former law partners Web Hubbel for the Justice Department, Vince Foster for the White House staff, and William Kennedy for the Treasury Department. Her selections went well: Hubbel went to prison, Foster (presumably) committed suicide, and Kennedy was forced to resign. Many younger votes will have no knowledge of “Travelgate.” Hillary wanted to award unfettered travel contracts to Clinton friend Harry Thompson – and the White House Travel Office refused to comply. She managed to have them reported to the FBI and fired. This ruined their reputations, cost them their jobs, and caused a thirty-six month investigation. Only one employee, Billy Dale was charged with a crime, and that of the enormous crime of mixing personal and White House funds. A jury acquitted him of any crime in less than two hours.Still not convinced of her ineptness, Hillary was allowed to recommend a close Clinton friend, Craig Livingstone, for the position of Director of White House security. When Livingstone was investigated for the improper access of about 900 FBI files of Clinton enemies (Filegate) and the widespread use of drugs by White House staff, suddenly Hillary and the president denied even knowing Livingstone, and of course, denied knowledge of drug use in the White House.Following this debacle, the FBI closed its White House Liaison Office after more than thirty years of service to seven presidents.Next, when women started coming forward with allegations of sexual harassment and rape by Bill Clinton, Hillary was put in charge of the scandal defense. Some of her more notable decisions in the debacle were:She urged her husband not to settle the Paula Jones lawsuit. After the Starr investigation they settled with Ms. Jones. She refused to release the Whitewater documents, which led to the appointment of Ken Starr as Special Prosecutor. After $80 million dollars of taxpayer money was spent, Starr’s investigation led to Monica Lewinsky, which led to Bill lying about and later admitting his affairs.Hillary’s game plan resulted in Bill losing his license to practice law for ‘lying under oath’ to a grand jury and then his subsequent impeachment by the House of Representatives.Hillary avoided indictment for perjury and obstruction of justice during the Starr investigation by repeating, “I do not recall,” “I have no recollection,” and “I don’t know” a total of 56 times while under oath. After leaving the White House, Hillary was forced to return an estimated

$200,000 in White House furniture, china, and artwork that she had stolen. Now we are exposed to the destruction of possibly incriminating emails while Hillary was Secretary of State and the “pay to play” schemes of the Clinton Foundation – we have no idea what shoe will fall next. But to her loyal fans (supporters) – I guess in her own words “what difference does it make?” I guess being a female Democrat is all that matters. By the way, I’d post the same if she were a Republican. You see, she’s already been in the White House, she has a record we can review.Hillary for prison 2016 would be a good start to help make America safe again.

ipso_facto, thanks for that 10:04 posting about Tahoe (THO.TO)

Posted by Equisetum @ 17:00 on July 23, 2016

That news item gave me the push I needed to bail out of Tahoe Resources.  I never set out to be a shareholder of this company.  I was very impressed with Lakeshore Gold and held a position in that stock for a number of years.   But then because of their joint business arrangement  I found myself a holder of Tahoe shares rather than Lakeshore shares. I am disappointed that the management of Lakeshore  chose a business arrangement with Tahoe rather than with someone like Keith Neumeyer’s First Mining Finance.  I do not know if First Mining was ever interested in Lakeshore Gold.  My portfolio will be the better when the Tahoe position is dropped.  There are other good alternatives in the PM equity sector that offer more hope  than Tahoe  Resources.

Cheers,  and have a good weekend as the Puget Sound region heads into the beginning of a summer drought period.   Equiz.

Trouble for Tahoe

Posted by ipso facto @ 10:04 on July 23, 2016

Guatemala: Tahoe Resources (TAHO) (THO.to) Escobal mining permits are under threat

Tahoe Resources (TAHO) (THO.to) has a problem.

First, the anti-mining anti-mining legal pressure group CALAS managed to use the Guatemala courtrooms to close down the El Tambor/La Puya mine owned by KCA. Now it’s after Tahoe Resources (THO.to) (TAHO) and its Escobal mine. This week CALAS submitted a formal petition to demand the immediate revocation of the Escobal mining permits (along with those of another mine, Sechol) to the country’s Ministry of Energy and Mining (MEM) because it says that its permits were illegally granted during the previous government of Otto Pérez Molina (who is now in jail due to the “La Linea” corruption scandal). It works like this:
•According to CALAS (translated), “Under article 50 of the Mining Law, the Ministry of Energy and Mines has the obligation to declare non-substantial any right of mining operation (i.e. permit) when it has been granted without fulfilling the established requirements in the Mining Law and its regulations”.
•In December 2015 The Constitutional Court of Guatemala ruled that the Escobal permit had been granted without fulfilling all requirements of the Mining Law. Specifically it stated that the MEM had “Violated the administrative procedure for the permitting of these mining projects” (i.e. Escobal and Sechol).
•Therefore yesterday CALAS submitted its formal demand to revoke the Sechol and Escobal mining licences. In this report in Guatemala’s national daily ‘La Hora’, its legal representative Rafael Maldonado said (translated), “With immediate effect, during the next month, we ask that the mining operations are halted”, and he added that if they weren’t shut down CALAS will take legal action against the Minister of Energy and Mining. Using a legal action against the minister in question is, for what it’s worth, the same strategy CALAS used in March 2016 to get the MEM to first suspend and finally annul the El Tambor/La Puya mining permits.

Escobal is of course the same mine where an employee was killed in a workplace accident in November, but instead of admitting the fatality TAHO decided to bury the story and not mention it to anyone anywhere.

I knew I heard some bad things about New Guinea and mining. What you’re saying just reinforces it. There’s plenty of good mines in better jurisdictions to choose from.

if im not mistaken   K92    is in Papua New Guinea ..the same place Barrack had so much trouble it sold half interest to the Chinese ..

There were GANG RAPES by security forces  etc so Barrick sold most of it to China mining operator .

who later found that they coulden’t leave the Chinese alone  because when they returned to check on them ..some of them were missing ..It seems the Cannibals had a likin for Chinese and they found to be “good eatin” …no admissions ya see just some smiles and no explanations about where the missing men were.   It gave new meaning to the Phrase “were eatin Chinese tonight”  !  I wouldent go to New Guinea for 50 million oz…Maybe the Chinese wont miss a few out of 1.5 billion people !

How many people per ounce does it take to run the mine ?  Same place that Rockefeller GUY (Nelson Rockefeller nephew)disappeared  from some years ago some tribe admitted indirectly he was eaten..

some strategic musings

Posted by treefrog @ 1:56 on July 23, 2016
was, as many think, the U.S. state dept/CIA behind the recent unsuccessful coup attempt to displace turkey’s erdogan?
do ya think erdogan might resent it?
do ya think it might make him want to cozy up to putin and distance himself from the CIA-NATO-U.S. state department agenda?
do ya think putin would love to flip turkey from the southeast anchor of NATO into the western terminus of the unfolding “silk road” russian/chinese trans-asian economic powerhouse-partnership?
do ya think erdogan might like that?  immense wealth flowing through the bosporus?
do ya think russia has been trying to get a warm water port for the last few centuries?
did the state department and the CIA just seriously screw the pooch?
way to go victoria nuland!

ipso facto might be the chong one….
