Mny tks…that makes more sense….I don’t use the Cloud at all, as I consider it the same as leaving all yr home doors and file cabinets wide open.

Sure it is convenient, but Data mining is apparently what the likes of Google are really into. Some say Ubber is just a data mining front for Google…it makes no money, but supplies it’s owner Google with tons of data !!!!

Damn thing had me confounded staying up so long. I should have known better that TPTB would lower it with the coming Fed Announcement they used yesterday. The last time they “nudged” Dollar down, they used a bad May jobs report in early June, shown on chart below.

Brexit unwittingly pumped it up on them, and I KNEW they had to get it back down. And here we are. A bunch of dollar bulls in the futures market are now getting BOPPED like they used to do to Gold.

I have a LaCie FUEL WiFi SSD , 2? maybe 3? TB , to handle that from my 32GB tablet . Uploads in the background  , downloads on command , and I am happy with it for large video files , etc . You may wish to check it out if you encounter any Cloud issues .

Our phones might just replace laptops and desktops altogether.

Top end smart phones already have as much or more computing power than mny desktops/laptops, the only thing they lack is storage, but the Cloud can do that.

My son is coming to visit in a few weeks,he has a PHD in physics specialty PHOTONICS laser fiber optic lightwave transmission  has 5 patents  on military applications .I hope he can enlighten me on the new applications even though its a little out of his speciality.

One of the problems he had while running his own company was obtaining cheap lasers ,they were essential in getting the cost of applications down.I dont know how this effects this type of application ,but Ill find out !

Hackers can record everything you type on certain wireless keyboards

A computer security research team has identified a weakness in several brands of low-cost wireless keyboards that could allow hackers to view and record every word, number and password typed by a user from up to about 75 metres away.

According to Bastille, an Atlanta-based research team, eight wireless keyboards made by companies such as Hewlett-Packard, Radio Shack and Toshiba send keystroke data from the board to the USB dongle that connects to your computer without the encryption needed to mask what someone is typing.
