Should be dollar negative I think, but the USD is flat. Gold and silver were hit immediately but now firming a little. Still nowhere close to a serious breakout as of yet,

Aurum – I do think the dollar matters to gold, but only if the dollar goes up.

Anyhoo, the shares are still fairly solid in the premarket and didn’t react much to the news of the day.

Gold pops a few bucks and silver drops a few cents.

What do you want? To have your cake and eat it too.

GLD just above the 50 dma in the premarket, hanging by a few cents. As always, any and all resistance levels above will be fought tooth and nail. Any support levels below, won’t hold.

HUI same thing, stumbling right here at the 50 dma as well.

We’ll see how the day goes, but we can’t wait for more than a day or two more before we get a big pop or they’ll take us right back down in the crapper.

Kunstler a regular read for me; always like his take on things. I am interested to see what I can find about Geert Vanden Bossche’s latest. I was paying attention to him early in the pandemic, and I think a lot of what he was talking about came to pass. Pretty scary if he’s right in his current assessment.

Karl Denninger was also warning of vaccinating into an epidemic very early on.  I’m no scientist or virologist or medical person, but I thought what they were saying made sense.  A LOT  more sense than anything coming out of the govt, msm, or mainstream medical community was saying back then (or now).

what i meant was first the gold chart looks different if looked at in a different currency – i have to remind myself for example when talking to winedoc he is looking at a chart in canadian dollars and it can be different than mine in us dollars

even more so if a currency not as synced as us and canadian dollar

also meant there are times when us dollar and gold trade the same direction

so the falling dollar may not be that important

That is one very ugly chart. I guess it could be a huge head fake, but I think maddog mentioned it’s a lot harder to manipulate the currency markets. Not even sure they want a stronger dollar.

Aurum – the dollar used to matter to gold before they completely locked it down at the Crimex. I really hope this changes, because we haven’t gotten our bang for the buck. Not even close.

Although, you said “any currencies” I thought gold was doing better in other currencies? Not true anymore?

I am using my ipad so not the detailed charting software on my laptop   Anyway on the one year dxy support already broken.

but there is not always a correlation between pm’s and any particular currency.

If you are seeing two parallel lines with a little box in between try right clicking the little box and pick “load image.”

The chart is just a dollar chart showing it ready to break through support.

Maybe it’s my computer.
