the inflation numbers were ugly, I’m a little surprised silver is up a few cents. Dollar isn’t up much either, surprising.

Everything in the markets feels like a slow drift higher towards doom, everything intentionally marching forward toward the abyss. PM’s have already experienced the abyss over the last decade and are just about to come out of it.

They’re hitting NEM in the premarket to keep things and the HUI in check. HUI 235 is stiffer resistance than I thought it would be. Shares just waiting for gold to move, although silver should have given them the green light.

Wholesale inflation for the month of February increased .6% ( double what was supposedly expected, .3%), and stocks go up, Gold goes down……..

A friend who probably would of did it anyways had all these books sole hers some her husband she was going to get rid of I mentioned sell them, someone might need them on different subjects maybe even the old DOS computer books and she mentioned one on all about a specific gun that she didn’t care for that type her husband had was out of print and put it up on line and sold fast. Sold a plastic trainer AR  gun as they trained weapons was the same weight et all also went fast. But a lot of books on different subjects went fast including a extensive microbiology book I would of bought if I knew she was selling it as that intensive type is quite intensive went fast. Especially gun books these days the way things are.

That would get them off our soil so they couldn’t defend the USA when things fall apart.

It was considered the bible of gold and the miners. I saw many tiny little penny stock pink sheet explorers go vertical thousands of percents higher. Before 1975 we weren’t allowed to own gold, so he put his readers into the miners around 1964 and they got a great ride.

If you came in late and high, you lost because he waited too long after the peak to flash the sell order. He was the pioneer of technical analysis, wrote a book on that and it became a very expensive collectible book.  Used worth $500 today on Amazon. Ebay has one for $1500.

In the beginning it was strictly fundamental analysis. He worked for kidder and company, there newsletter and he was recommending gold and silver miners in the early ’60s. and if you were caught looking at a chart you’d get fired. They called him a kook and fired him and he started his own newsletter.

He was very good at spotting new uptrends in various places. He was very early on very many sectors but always waited too long to sell.

I guess he didn’t pay attention to the Fed in 1980 where interest rates got so high and killed the housing market for the sellers you could of got a lot of CDs or similar with pay outs at different dates and different years out at really good interest. I was getting the Dinesletter back then. We were just kids, buying and selling junk silver coins. We subscribed because he was the first one in, around 1964? and he claimed he would give us the final sell signal. MOVUAGASS I think he called it. Much vaunted gold and silver sell signal.

What I noticed in the letter was numerous miners were up thousands of percents. He did flash the sell signal about two years too late, in June 1982, and put everyone into normal stocks at Dow at 796. Dow stayed under 1000 from 1968 to 1982.

He recommended selling all inflation related assets, predicting a deflation, (which happened until 2000). Im hearing lately, a lot of little people buying silver again.

Yeah that’s one good thing EXCEPT  for the juniors that NEVER recover if you didn’t get out and sitting in your portfolio as a minus or no value years later no change. Even in 08 miners recovered faster than everything else but things changed after 08 and things became short lived making nervous traders or got out of miners all together where from 2000 till 08 they basically had pull backs but stayed above a very long support line.

I know I’m speaking to the choir but the choir has memory. During a stock market crash something more often happens to miners compared to other stocks, especially juniors and below. Some never recover. That’s why Pento said if you want to shorten your life buy some juniors lol I wouldn’t ride them down but ladder stops as they’re moving up and don’t look back imo. I’ve done that before and got back in if they passed a target and regretted it every time.

You just reminded me of the Dot com bubble that popped around ’00? All the stocks crashed, badly, but be we were already on lows, and we started climbing. It took three more years after that before the regular stocks bottomed. I think we led the general market back up.

As long as there is the expectation of inflation and dollar deflation the PMs could move, but if there’s a stock market crash it will take the stocks with them, Maybe not the phyzz as much like in 08 it held out better than the stocks  or in some cases not at all or move up but the stocks are still stocks and will then have to wait till it bottoms especially if its with inflation on the horizon like in 2020 but do to the Fed was shorter lived than post 08 or recovery. Also what the Fed is doing. They’re only looking out for the banks it seems.
