Don’t know what that means but everything feels a little heavy here to me. Sort of running out of upside momentum.
SLV has a gap down in the $73-$74 area that could get filled, which could bring us back to $82-$83. I don’t know if it will, but that’s my T/A for the day.
Maddog – yeah, bonkers is a better explanation. They continue to stink up the joint for the most part. We have earnings coming out in a couple of weeks I think, and we also have a Fed meeting around the same time. Hopefully that will be a catalyst for these things to really get going. Seems like the metals would have to fall quite a bit for the shares to be fairly valued at this point. 800 HUI is a nice fat round number that they’ll probably defend.

is the passport to anywhere. Easy to move wealth around the world. For both the common folk and the elite. But if you can’t see it, the sword cuts in both directions. It is much easier to move millions to and fro- on some dumb jump drive. Seems too easy compared to moving phiz. Need to go in a hurry? BTC makes it easy. But If there's a 50% haircut coming and we can buy it in the upper 50's I'd feel much better. It seems like the perfect tool for criminals to jump into and get caught.

What if the passwords have been lost? A friend died without anyone knowing the combo for his safe. Actually, we didn’t even know there was a safe to begin with, but we knew there was some precious somewhere. At least when we found it we could drill it out. Taking a jackhammer to a wallet probably doesn’t work as well. You can see the issue – is there any BTC, how much should there be, where is the BTC, and who has the key. BTC transcends borders; useful for a dictator who might need to flee (even if he leaves it too late).

Up 50% since August on the 10s – but the Yen is down 10% since then. Carry trade alive and well.

All over the map. Some of the large cap golds are doing OK, while some of the silvers are scraping the bottom and barely up. AG and HL barely moving with silver up $3? They had great days yesterday but today are acting like silver is going to rollover.
Everything sold off with the SM a couple of hours ago, then the gold’s bounced back with the QQQ’s, but not some of the small caps and silvers.
Last week we had solid days Mon. and Tues. then got crushed Wednesday. They going to pull that again this week?

Their Gen Z parents (along with some others) are trying to persuade the school not to require everyone to have tablets in grade 2. Anticipating failure they already have the lock box for the tablets for when they get home. No mobile phone until 14. Or maybe 16. We weren’t so strict, and one of the best moments was when the boys had given up CoD, Halo, Fortnite etc and only played online chess and FIFA.
If kids can’t read by the time they’re six or seven, it’s the parents fault (desperately hoping eegk can read!).

Gen Z students are struggling to read and comprehend a sentence, one Pepperdine University professor recently said.
“It’s not even an inability to critically think,” Humanities Professor Jessica Hooten Wilson told Fortune. “It’s an inability to read sentences.”
“I feel like I am tap dancing and having to read things aloud because there’s no way that anyone read it the night before,” the professor said.
Wilson also said that even when she reads passages in class with the students, “there’s so much they can’t process about the very words that are on the page.”

it looks like they’ve recently taken in some 100 oz. bars as well. They are paying under spot for everything so they must have a fair amount of inventory.
Weird to me. Wondering when the craziness is going to hit the smaller dealers?

silver prices are rising. by definition, that means there are more buyers than sellers. who are the buyers?
a) retail hoarders/speculators (that’s us!)
b) industrial users
c) shorts trying to exit
d) sovereign wealth funds
e) other

… looks like the metals are firm going into the stocks opening … but just be careful … maybe you should be quick to sell … as this is a proven strategy for some 50 years now … with the tamping down and all …don’t worry … you will be able to buy back in at lower prices soon.
It’s a no brainer … chuckle … snort
