He fired thousands on the government payroll that was about little over 2 million quoted to 1.75 only approximates. But what the people didn’t know he was massively hiring contractors and increasing the government payroll from approximately 2 million to a whopping 9 million behind the curtain. Now called the deep state. Also consider all the money going out to all these other countries on really stupid distractions but notice the extreme amounts that don’t anywhere near reflect the costs. That perhaps that money is used for say influence or the CIA or other contractors to get in the door.

The gold clearing banks of London Precious Metals Clearing Ltd (LPMCL) have exhausted the metal they had available for delivery in their own vaults… so they are trying to borrow as much gold as possible via the gold lending market at the Bank of England. But this looks exhausted too.
These clearing banks (JP Morgan, HSBC, UBS and ICBC Standard) need to keep gold in their vaults for their own loco london liquidity. But it looks like they don’t have any more gold to do this.
Counterparty risk has therefore risen between all the LBMA bullion banks which trade unallocated “gold credit” between each other. The clearers, the market makers and all the other LBMA bullion banks and brokers and traders. About 50+ entities.
basically they trade paper “claims” on gold (or the electronic equivalent). These claims are now trading at a discount to reflect the fact that they can’t be converted at will into physical due to a lack of availability of sufficient loco London physical gold.

Yes, there are some good reasons for not wanting Palestinians to come to your country. Canada is experiencing that firsthand.

1 minute knee jerk was a pop in the metals and shares, followed by a drop to negative – a 1% down for silver – but now silver is flat and gold is back up about $10. The shares have sort of trailed off and are approaching flat, with the metals bouncing to and fro.
Nothing like the massacres we’ve seen in the past.
Dollar is moving up, as are rates, (up 4.5 bips) which surprises me a little.
We’ll see if they sell us out of the gates or take a run at us later in the morning. The shares aren’t forecasting that, but never know.

Another interesting stock. I can’t add more because it is at my allocation limit and I bought late in the rise with a cost basis of around 8. It looks toppy here and a drop toward 9 would not surprise me. I might be tempted to exceed the allocation a bit if it does but bail if goes lower than that area.

At least pre-market pm’s are looking decent for the moment. Shares are too. Lord only knows what that will look like at 0830 EST when the report comes out. Maybe the scum is less able to pull off their usual games these days with the soaring lease rates and delayed deliveries? Funny thing, we did not get the usual Fed meeting beat down this last time around. I don’t think I can even remember the last time that happened.
So far, every eco data report has been a miss since after Trump took over. It appears he hasn’t fired enough people just yet so that he has a staff to put out phony data like Biden did. 🙂

In any case, why would anyone want to take a million people who have survived off UNRWA funding for seven decades, declare that they don’t want to come anyway, have (as a result of the UNRWA funding) a huge sense of entitlement; and a lot of attitude. What would they have to offer, anyway? What is the market in Egypt and Jordan for huge networks of tunnels and home made bombs? If they have good construction skills, let them rebuild Gaza while farming the area – maybe then they will be slightly more circumspect about enticing the Israelis to blow it all to bits in the future.
Completely agree. Wherever I went in Europe I always learned at least a little of the language before I got there. Just making the effort in the home country’s language would go a long way, even if it was as little as “Hello” and “Do you speak English?” in their language. Better still if you could ask your first question or two in their language. The French, by the way, and especially the Parisian French, seemed to have the least tolerance for those who didn’t even make an effort to speak their language. But that’s not why I always made an effort; it just seemed the courteous thing to do; it was their country, not America.
I have indeed held…all these years. I have every share I ever bought at a few different price points. If it were to take off and make me whole, or better, that would be one of the best things that has happened in my investing life. I had so much belief and hope in that project and that stock.
