WE need to THANK

Posted by Ororeef @ 18:19 on September 8, 2016

Obama ,Hillary et al ..if it werent for their blunders and outright corruption ,GOLD wouldent be going up !

Just like the Police need to thank the Crooks ,if it werent for them  they wouldent have a job..

Just like the fellow that cleaned my parking lot when I had a Fast food business ,if it werent for the pigs ,he wouldent have a job !  If it werent for Hillary ,we wouldent need Trump !

However just as trump would be better employed using his talents creating beautiful buildings ,Gold could be put to better use than stashed in a vault ,Police could be used to educate drug offenders and ALCOHOLICS,and my parking lot cleaner could have been better employed providing faster service to customers.

But everybodys good for something even if its to serve as a BAD EXAMPLE !

IE   Obama ,Hillary, fiat money, trash creating customers, and bad cops.

Fed Urges U.S. Ban on Wall Street Buying Stakes in Commodities and Companies

Posted by drb2 @ 17:21 on September 8, 2016

Ha ha-ha, yeah, right.

[snip]….

Congressional Gridlock

That agency and the U.S. Treasury Department adopted a merchant-banking rule in 2001 after the 1999 Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act gave banks the right to make such investments. But making statutory changes to merchant banking and other industry laws would require intervention from lawmakers — a tall order in a politically-divided Congress that has passed only a few significant bills affecting the financial system in recent years. That leaves any immediate impact of the report in doubt.

The Fed, OCC and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. were required by Dodd-Frank to dig into further risks from bank investments, and they were supposed to issue the report almost five years ago.

The document was called for by a provision tucked more than 200 pages into Dodd-Frank under section 620. Lenders’ government watchdogs had to review the industry’s investment activities to determine whether they “could have a negative effect on the safety and soundness” of the financial system. But the mandate was easy to lose track of next to the passage that preceded it: section 619, which is better known as the Volcker Rule.

Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley and JPMorgan were the targets of criticism that led to the 2014 Senate review of their commodities businesses. It found lenders used their ownership of metals and other physical commodities to dominate markets and gain unfair trading advantages. The physical commodities businesses at Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley were protected by grandfathering that allowed them wider abilities than most banks — an advantage the Fed is seeking to end.

Yeah it is but being out there a lot once theres saftey issues too if going alone. Nature risks like snakes, bears, ” esp if fishing”,  injuries, falling in the River with no one around and two legged risks. Things you have to consider. I doubt if cell phones work in those areas either. But yeah otherwise something to think about. Plus if you put anything up that can walk away better take it with you when you leave.

Thanks for posting that informative video. There is the popular vote and then there is the Electoral vote. While Trump is gaining ground in the popular vote, Hillary still has a commanding lead in the Electoral vote. Trump could win the popular vote, but lose the Electorate, thus the Presidency. Trump supporters better kick their efforts in high gear the next 60 days.

Sounds like a pretty good life. Living on the creek, mostly retired, doing a little fishing, a little panning. Sure beats the hell out of living in a city.

I don’t keep up with the ever changing rules of mining because I don’t mine. I heard something about that too because it can interfer with spawning I believe. Calif has such a long history of mining or paning that the rivers still have Mercury in them from the days they used it. That’s kinda important to know if you fish. Certain fish that return every year like trout may have higher levels of mercury in them. Salmon only return once then die so probably not as much. I was kinda shocked to learn the Kern River I rafter in fished in as a teen trout also had higher levels and Id be pulling out ” enough to eat” every day I was there.

I thought about getting some land for thst. It doesn’t cost much maybe 100 a year you lease and they give you your own strip of the river and some quite large. All you have to do is show improvement every year buying something for panning. You can live there but can’t officially live there. You can put up storages whatever you could probably make a house out of or a camper but I didn’t want to live there although the thought occurred lol I decided these places were too far away so passed. Maybe when I retire if it has fishing too lol
