thusly, taking a run at GLD, SLV and the miners. Also giving a boost to the dollar.
All makes sense to me.

We should drop small arms instead of bombs, a few anti tank weapons. Let the Iranian people do it themselves!

Word is they are not just going to let the Pentagon do whatever they want this time.
I don’t know what that means … nobody does … including the Pentagon.
Yes … interesting times.

“WW3” I think everyone is a little anxious about what might happen … especially those living in the ME! Are the Chinese and Russian ships still in the area?

That’s it … sell gold and buy the crap … America is saved.
They are constantly scheming.
It doesn’t work anymore.

… so the shares and ETF’s will not be held back by the specs next week … might even have a half decent close once contracts finish trading this afternoon.
Don’t be surprised with the wild swings out of nowhere.

Blue Owl halts redemptions at one of its funds, deepening selloff in private equity shares
- Redemptions at Blue Owl Capital Corp II to be permanently halted
- Proceeds to return capital to shareholders, pay down debt
- Blue Owl shares fall 7%; Apollo, KKR, Carlyle fall
NEW YORK, Feb 19 (Reuters) – Private capital firm Blue Owl Capital
(OWL.N), opens new tab is selling $1.4 billion in assets from three of its credit funds so it can return capital to investors and pay down debt, and permanently halting redemptions at one of the funds, the company said, as direct lending and software stocks come under pressure.
The sale comes just over three months after Blue Owl abandoned a plan to merge two of the three funds into one and to temporarily halt redemptions in the smallest of the funds, which were scheduled to resume this quarter.
Credit spreads should be through the roof. This is the bubble pin prick identifier. Expect many more such announcements forthcoming.
Definitely not trading freely.

All of a sudden, we’re looking pretty good. Metals anyway, and it looks like it happened after the Crimex open??
Shares still need to step up again in front of a weak market though.
War is looking likely, maybe this weekend. Maybe that’s why the jump this am.

….last vent of the day ( I’m sorry). I’m losing any shred of respect that I may have for ZH when they continue to pump out bearish PM stories ( just makes me think that they’re helping GS to cover any metal shorts they may have).

You have to remember these asset managers are scum … and paid to maintain the status quo … where this is tape painting in order to affect perception and keep people out of the sector.
That’s why it only stops when there is a crash in the bubble de jour and they are fighting for survival.
This will pass once tech is taken down … it’s coming.

NEM’s stock reaction this morning, doesn’t completely surprise me. I feel like they could have beaten their quarterly earnings number by 100% ( instead of the actual 25%), and the stock would still be down….
Have to control the mindset that PM stocks are BAD INVESTMENTS!!!

until about 45 minutes ago, and they’ve come in to steal a lot of the gains. PM shares in premarket were strong but now rolling over with NEM leading the charge down 4% – nice reward for crushing earnings. Then again, they deserve it for raising their dividend a penny.
SM, rates, dollar, oil all flat. Nothing to see here.

Re yr 22.55
‘They’ really do think that everything we have is theirs, as are we…..A while back there was a governmental fiscal crisis in Cyprus, they passed a law that allowed them to take, I forget the amount from anyone deposits, who had more than a certain amount…..like say u had 100,000, they could take 10,000 !!! and they did !!!!!
I was late paying a local tax in France a few yrs back….so they took the tax from my bank account direct and charged me to do it !!!!!!

Earnings have been pretty good on the most part, which they should be considering the metals prices but it doesn’t look like they are the “magic bullet” to cure our ills, at least so far.
