Agree. Given the action in the USD it could very well be some sort of monetary disaster. I posted a ZH article this am that the World Gold Council reported that central banks around the world were snapping up gold to the tune of 399 Tons last quarter. 300 of those tons went to an unnamed bank or entity. Why and who? Thing is, 400 tons is a $20 billion drop in the bucket.

I’ve never seen the USD drop 2% in a session. I’ve also never had a day percentage wise that was as strong as today. Made up the last two days big losses. Never happened before to me.

Long way to go still, just hope this is real.

That’s another kick the can down the road at the end of every year. One think I can assume, it should be good for gold.

I remember, as a kid collecting on my paper route, all those silver quarters and halves.

Paper was 50 cents a week as I recall.

A dollar in silver in my pocket was good for a weekend of movie, cokes, and fun.

Maybe you need to watch this again? Once you see it you can’t un-see it! Just saying!

The dollar looks like it has started the next leg down, check the Aussie dollar a 3 % move, which is huge in currencies.

I think you’ll find prices were very stable through most of the 1700’s to late 1800’s…..they went bad from then on and have been getting worse, ever since government became dominant.

That was in the 1930s it actually dropped till nearing 1940s Even after 2008 it kept moving up. So I guess that’s one way to tell if we’re going into a depression although maybe dropping would be good if the jobs held.
The 50s were pretty good times and stable,
Jumped a bit then 60 then stable then after that just kept moving.
Ps The CPI inflation from Jan 2020 till Oct 22 In just a few years were historic inflation in just 2 yrs but they didn’t act till now.

The CPI hasn’t changed much in the last few months except gas fluctuations. It might even be down a little bit with utilities and summer over before full winter for most and discounts plus stabilization with food prices even though high not getting higher at the moment.
If we’re going to have diesel shortages going forward that may change. But might reflect on consumer tightening which then of course reflects on businesses.

Yes it seems like much is going on under the surface. Cos blowing up? Or is it a rush to tangibles as the charade of paper money catches fire?

That might have a impact on the market making traders watchful next week.

The Gov there said she’s not concerned about the crime and she doesn’t bully criminals. Just don’t walk near the edge.
The one from Illinois I asked her how many people were shot in Chicago this week? She said the Demos make her feel safe DeSantis doesn’t.
