I can see both scenarios, Gold $2500 and sell in May – go away. OR, there is no selling, gold just keeps trudging higher until there is some sort of resolution to the dollar as reserve currency.

drb2 – I’m with you, I’m always afraid of selling and missing out, so I’ve never really taken anything off the table.

We’ll see what happens in May. I don’t want to suffer through another selloff.

I think of the Fiat Fed Reserve Note as a Ponzi Scheme.

Like all Ponzi Schemes, no one really knows for sure when it will run out of rubes, but what is certain is that one day it will.

As I have been expecting the world to come to its senses for many years, I have always been afraid to play the timing game and sell my PM insurance.  I am certain that the day I do sell out, that “this time will be different” will actually be the time!

I think we are there.

Russia is doing what Saddam; Kaddafi; Chavez tried to do – sell their Oil for Gold.  A large part of the world is sick of being taken advantage of by the US Reserve Currency. The genie is not going back in the bottle.

Not trying to start an argument, but be careful of selling – you might not get back in – this time things may, in fact, be different.

What makes them think that millions fleeing Communist poverty are going to vote for the same kind of liars that they are running and risking their lives to escape from ?  These immigrants have had enough of them and they are the ones that risk their lives to get away from ..Ask the CUBANS  !  They will vote for Freedom ! So if Gold goes up 25% the miners should go 100%, then hold the Miner profits and later buy the Physical with the profits. Gold is clearly telling the Fed, “you can’t win this time, higher rates are like Chemotherapy treatments and you kill surrounding areas like real estate auto sales etc.”

There seems to be a consensus that the Dollar may’is in a Bear mkt, this year….a number of big long term TA signals confirm that possibility…..we have broken below 200 day av and now have a golden cross down, 50 sub 200 , the Adens 65 week av is right here @ 102 on DXY.

Cable has a double bottom @ 1.0500 going back to 1985…..

Now why wud the Dollar go weak…the two big geopolitical events around are the Ukraine war…..that cud go worse and get even closer to WW III, with the way the west is throwing arms into Ukraine…that wud be dollar bullish…..2nd China goes into Taiwan, or puts on blockade…again that is dollar bullish…..

So what happens if China has had enough of the West trying to start WW III and goes after the US financial position…..where it is most vulnerable…..what happens if they go after the Gold shorts and demand delivery of all this Gold they are buying now……that wud wreck the Dollar…..

Something will drive the weak dollar, it may be the above.
