Sabina had an interesting week. I’ve owned it for a while, can’t remember seeing this type of action before. I’m not recommending it or anything but fundamentally it looks good too. About 10M OZ, 700 per ounce to mine, 220,000 OZ year 1, mine under construction, decent management,etc etc. I always thought Agnico would try and buy it since it’s kinda in their area. BWTHDIK.
Anyway, I sit on it waiting for “The Day!”. So far it’s been another junior gathering dust at the back of my portfolio.

Researchers at Columbia University’s Irving Medical Center revealed a potentially game-changing finding when it comes to aging.
By blocking the deterioration of blood stem cells within bone marrow with an anti-inflammatory drug, researchers “remarkably returned the blood stem cells to a younger, healthier state” in experimental mice, according to a press release.

Torex Gold (TSX: TXG) plans to invest between $390 million and $440 million in its flagship Media Luna gold project in Mexico this year to speed up development, with commercial production anticipated in late 2024.
Delivering a first quarter update, the Canadian miner noted that total upfront expenditures tied to Media Luna were unchanged at $874.5 million.
President and chief executive officer Jody Kuzenko, said the project was 15% complete by the end of 2022, adding that work was expected to ramp-up significantly in the months ahead.
She added that 2023 is shaped to be the peak year of spending in Media Luna, which is part of the company’s Morelos Complex.

Elon Musk’s SpaceX has blocked the Ukrainian government and its military from using Starlink technology to fly and control drones, after earlier in the war SpaceX gifted thousands of Starlink dishes to Ukriane to help the population stay connected to the internet.
SpaceX president Gwynne Shotwell in a statement asserted that Starlink technology was “never meant to be weaponized”. According to BBC, “She made reference to Ukraine’s alleged use of Starlink to control drones, and stressed that the equipment had been provided for humanitarian use.”

Looks like a boring day, just have to wait and see what this bull is going to do next, and how low we go before turning. Nothing is overbought and wasn’t really overbought when this correction started.
Ipso said it yesterday, a lot of burned folks in the sector – especially in the shares – so, we might have to go much higher before the public decides to join. Tough to get a sector moving that has underperformed for so long.
